They get filled up fast even during the low season so if you chose Baahra, it's best to book online to guarantee your accomodation.

Price is right too – most bungalows of this type in the Andaman are at least 30% dearer. They should approve of the position too - PAN is located on Hat Ton Son beach (the western extension of Hat Nopparat ACROSS THE OTHER SIDE of ...Old time backpackers will like PAN – rooms are beach bungalows mk2, the more durable/comfortable type which replaced the first bamboo jobs. Price is right too – most bungalows of this type in the Andaman are at least 30% dearer. They should approve of the position too - PAN is located on Hat Ton Son beach (the western extension of Hat Nopparat ACROSS THE OTHER SIDE of the small river from the main Nopparat beach), which is the least developed, most laid back on the Krabi coast. This has nice sand, ok swimming above half tide and a good outlook towards the offshore islands, but does suffer the low tide blues. Other reviews have talked of isolation without a vehicle – but the cheap way to Ao Nang is to walk the beach to the klong (15 minutes – PAN is near the far western end of this beach), hail one of the longtail boats to take you across for 50baht (less than $2), walk the short distance to the main road and catch one of the frequently passing Krabi town to Ao Nang songthaew taxi buses for the 3km into Ao Nang (20b). Or walk this last step on the winding path under the trees in back of Nopparat beach in around 40 minutes. Thais seemed to approve of this place too – the weekend saw most of the vacant bungalows taken by Thai families – always an indication of value and good food. Holidaying Thais tend to be good neighbors. My bungalow was just big enough for two + gear, was clean, had a firm but comfy queen sized bed, good insect screens on the windows but no net, quiet fan, lots of internal lines and clothes hangers, and okay bathroom with bucket flush western toilet, a nice veranda with hammock. It was very quiet at night with no traffic or long tail boat noise. The sea view restaurant served nice food. Pricing was scattered – western seemed cheaper than average budget bungalows, some Thai cheaper, some higher. Small Chang beers at 50baht were the cheapest of a dozen similar restaurants all trip. Staff was friendly and obliging with Pan herself having good English.

We loved Anawin Bungalows SO MUCH! This place could not have been more perfect! The young woman who worked at reception was so incredibly helpful and kind to us, as were the other staff members we encountered. Our bungalow was huge, way bigger than expected, with ice cold air conditioning and a big front porch. Breakfast was always fantastic. Of all the places we stayed in Thailand, Anawin was by far my favorite and I am missing it already! We will definitely be back. If you're thinking about staying here, look no further! :)

Phi Phi is not a place that you can find to good place in your budget. I was worried going through all those bad reviews & attempted to cancel. Thanks God I didn't. You have every facilities in this hotel if you like eco friendly environment. Good location, helpful stuff, tour boats & even cheapest ferry ticket to krabi or phuket that you can find nowhere else. You can visit the beach nearby & can go to viewpoint that is close by. I loved this place. You won't regret if you book this place & you won't find a better one in Phi Phi in this budget for sure.

The Resort is not in the main area of the island, but they provide free boat service from 7 am until 9 pm and it just takes 5 minutes. The location is great and relaxing, right in front of the sea, with it's own small beach area. The bungalows are really nice, with air conditioned and a lot of space. The staff working there are all super nice and helpful. Their English level is not very good (the receptionist was the only one speaking a little bit of English, but she had a very basic level, enough to understand and communicate). However, that wasn't an inconvenient and our stay there was great. The breakfast included was basically Continental, thai dishes were not included. Transport to the Resort was difficult because there were no more ferries when we arrived to Krabi (their last on 2:15 pm I think, we had to take a private boat). If I went back to Koh Phi Phi, I would stay here again.

Cannot say anything about the price, it is really interesting for the location (450 bhat for fan, 500 bhat for aircon). We read a lot of review stating that there are a lot of insects in the room. We had some ants but it is quite normal in tropical area like here. We have extended our stay with 5 days after looking for others rooms around. Good value for money.

I would love to spend another hour with them. The Bungalows do provide earplugs which I quickly discovered was for the noise of the waves. If you are not use to it, you will sleep like a baby with the earplugs. The restaurant was the nicest surprise. The chef creates a special menu for the evening and it is worth every penny! He has a real taste for creating complimentary flavors. Breakfasts were fabulous also. Even if you are not staying here, this restaurant is worth a local taxi bike ride (very cheap) to enjoy the food, service and beach location. The owner and all of the staff are professional, friendly, and willing to help anyway they can. Any of the scuba diving shops in the area will pick you up here too. I hope I get to return soon.

We spent two nights there, bungalows are on south and west side. We had one on the south and they are not so close like bungalows on west but still very close. Restaurant and reception is very good, with fire at night and lovely staff. We rent a scooter there for 250THB/day and visit whole island within 3 hours. Very peaceful and wonderful place/island, south-west part of island definitely is much better so resort is very good located. Scooter taxi from port is 50THB/person. You can buy tickets to Krabi directly in resort and they pick you by long boat to the ferry (about 9 a.m. and it's only option). Island is very quite, only scooters and no cash machine, but you can pay by card in the hotel (4%). Bungalows were rather simple, couple of ants and insects, only windmill but door has insect shield, there was lizard but for us it was totally ok. The biggest disadvantege is that there is no hot water in the whole resort. We saw other hotels a bit north cheaper and with hot water.

The room we got was clean but as described it was a little too small. There was just enough space to walk around the beds. Not enough to keep your bags around as there is no provision for keeping clothes. The bathroom was reeking a little of bird poop. Carry small locks because they don't have a safe just some small cupboards which is wall attached. By parking space they mean they have a lot of land outside and there was no security to keep guard of the vehicles parked. They claim there is a mini van service but the rates increment if it is a late night or early morning flight for a private taxi. They quoted different rates on different days. Their garden is just some overgrown unkempt plants. Overall, this place is perfect for travellers. Oh and they serve dinner and the food is to die for! Unless you don’t know the right places to eat, food can be a not so good experience in general. The dinner served here was our end of the day saving grace. The beach makes up for all that the place lacks. When the water recedes, it is a treasure trove out there. We saw corals, sea sponges, lots of crabs and small fishes. It was crazy seeing all that was in there. Do go if you are a beach enthusiast and if are fascinated by ocean life in general! And do check out the Emerald pool and the hot springs in Krabi. Also the panoramic view from the Tiger cave temple is a must see! We missed out on Railay Beach. But do spend ample time at Krabi. There is lots to see!

Comfy, clean Cons: basic stay, not a fancy place Tips: take the airport shuttle not a cab from Krabi airport, tell them aonang guest house and they take you right there (they just stop at a few hotels on the way), it's 150/person and takes max an hour, ask the receptionist to book an airport shuttle pick up (same price and it's a smaller van that's even faster than the bus), aonang sunset restaurant is nearby and they have 250 baht buffet breakfast and it's worth every penny. enjoy yourself in Krabi! Notes on other reviews: hot water in the shower works you just have to turn the heater on (it's next to the shower head and has a button), it is definitely a close walk to the beach (some said it's far, not the case)

We really enjoyed our stay at Maikeaw Bungalow. We came to Ko Lanta to relax and rest and that is what we did! The location in the jungle is nice and quiet, but with a motorbike you're at the beach in 5 minutes only. It's really easy and cheap to rent a motorbike at Maikeaw Bungalow. The staff is really welcoming and helpful. They really make you feel at home and they ...We really enjoyed our stay at Maikeaw Bungalow. We came to Ko Lanta to relax and rest and that is what we did! The location in the jungle is nice and quiet, but with a motorbike you're at the beach in 5 minutes only. It's really easy and cheap to rent a motorbike at Maikeaw Bungalow. The staff is really welcoming and helpful. They really make you feel at home and they can prepare you really nice meals in their restaurant. We would definitely recommend this place and hopefully we will come back in the near future! P.S. In another review people wrote about animals in the bungalow. Apart from some mosquito's we didn't have animals in our bungalow and there's a mosquito net available in the bungalows, so we didn't have any animal problem at all!

Some of the other bungalows had another terrace at the back facing towards the beach and sea - ours didn’t, but did have an extra room that faced that way - no furniture in there though. Perhaps for families if they added a bed? The owners/staff there are really nice, and organised scooter hire for us, although unfortunately couldn't find us semi-autos - they're a little hard to come by on the island it seems. It was nice not to have to leave passports or licence with them as a deposit. Everyone always ready with a smile, and kept the place clean and tidy. It's well placed at the end of Khlong Khong Beach, and an easy walk to some great food/bars.

I read a few reviews about rooms not being cleaned but woman on the desk clearly said if we wanted them to be cleaned to leave the key at the desk, we did and rooms were cleaned with fresh towels and water no problem. Booked for 3 nights only stayed for 2, island is very party orientated so if that is your sort of thing then highly reccomended, if you want more chill out stay other side of the island. Side note, do not take path to the view point to the right of by bungalows, it's a very steep jungle walk, very hard footing. If you do don't wear sandals like we stupidly did. Go down to town and take that route, way easier

They provide modern spacious villas with a lovely mountain view, moreover rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and water/coffee always provided. Price wise this is easily the best value stay we've had in the whole of Thailand, you pay a budget hotel price but get a luxury villa without breaking the bank - which many beachfront villas do! In order to properly see Koh Lanta you'll need a scooter which are widely advertised throughout the island for 300-500 baht per day, Keerelay offer you one of theirs for just 200 baht (also saving you putting down a large deposit elsewhere). Best off all the owners were the most welcoming we've seen, they'll go out of their way to help you and ensure you have a great stay! They will happily book you tours or onward travel and even phone around to make sure you get the cheapest rate. Overall we had a fantastic stay and I would recommend them to anyone whether you're solo, a group of friends, a couple or even a family, Keerelay will be sure to provide you with a memorable stay!

This place was really fun and we really enjoyed our bungalow! When we booked our bungalow the pictures showed a bed on agoda but the actual room we booked had a mat on the floor. However, the staff let us upgrade to the better for more money. Unfortunate we had to pay more but was worth the extra. Extremely good value for money. The scooter was an absolute great deal to have considering the island is very hilly when going out to the national park and exploring the whole island. He even made bbqs with local seafood which Pitt (the owner) also helped. Just to keep everyone entertained! We had some fantastic nights. The restaurant owned by Melina was also good value, you get a huge portion for the price aswell as great service. The housekeeping comes every 2nd day unless you ask. The same with toilet paper or water just ask and you shall receive. We recommend staying at least 3 nights if you wish to cover the whole island and visiting many beaches. 7 or more if you are not in a rush. We originally booked for 5 nights and ended up staying 10. Extremely sad to leave and very much looking forward to coming back as soon as we can. :)

We initially booked this place for two nights, thinking it wasn't expensive and ideally located in the middle of Lanta. When we saw the bungalow, we immediately booked two more nights and then two more nights and then booked 6 more nights. We've been travelling for 3 months and this was by far the best value for your money. The owner and his wife were super accommodating and helped us with what ever we needed. We rented the scooters almost everyday and didn't have any issues. Don't miss out on this little slice of heaven.

This place is amazing, from the nature of the jungle, to the beautiful cliffs and rock faces, the cute gardens where the paths go to the bungalows. The beach is not crowed and was so relaxed. The bungalows are as described. You are in the jungle, so of course you will see bugs.. but also wild monkeys. AMAZING! The bar is very chilled and have really cold beer.. just what i wanted at the end of the day. Sat playing games with the bar staff and laughing all night, IT could not have been a better stay. BEST PLACE IN THAILAND

The food is fantastic in Ban Ban, we ate Thais food for breakfast & dinner every evening during our stay. Freshly baked homemade cakes, cookies and pizzas are on offer too. Bed sheets could do with replacing due to a few age related ‘marks’ Agoda vs booking dot com seem to have a massive price difference on the accommodation. Nearly 45% in the price, we are currently seeking reimbursement under the price promise through agoda which is proving very difficult with the stalling tactics and we will made to pay the full charged onsite and then claim back through agoda? 5% card payment surcharge onsite was not explained. None for cash but didn’t want to use this as was unable to locate an ATM machine nearby where we were staying

Instead he took us to Kitty Hotel and as an apology he offered us free breakfast and free beer! The conditions at Kitty were excellent. Though we didn't see the rooms, the place looked very clean and it has a nice atmosphere. Lanta Sea House is a lovely, if somewhat uninspired, resort right on Klong Dao beach, a great sandy beach. The not so good: - AC in the bungalow was marginal. It took the edge off the heat, but never really got cold. - No coffee/tea set up in the room. ONLY place in Krabi where we found that! - MANY kids, usually in the pool. Lots of screaming, crying, running, etc. Not much parental control. - Everybody seemed to be blond, Scandinavian, & not very friendly. Hard to strike up a conversation. - Staff was just going through the motions. No extra efforts, not very friendly. - Breakfast buffet: -- Not good: Cold, rather funny tasting scrambled eggs. Cold sausage. and tasteless ham in warm water. Very dry/not flavorful waffles and pancakes. -- Good: toast and cheese (seriously, the hot toast melted the cheese -- try it). Fresh pineapple. - Coffee/tea was totally self serve and only in the morning. Small cups gone in 3 gulps. Would have been nice if the staff went around with refills. - Beach towels: Old, ratty and edges unraveling. We had booked for 3 nights to check it out and decided to try a different place (and were happy we did). Rate = ~$75US per night, the most we paid for any place in Krabi. Not worth it. Sorry.

What a find - having read the previous reviews we were hoping for something special but we were absolutely blown away by this location! The view when the tide is high is out of this world! We were especially lucky as we arrived on the first day of the Lanta Lanta festival and had an absolutely fabulous time here. When we got to Krabi airport and tried to organize the transfer to the hotel, we realized that it was further than we thought...it actually seems the place is in the middle of nowhere...but that's the whole point! Have a refreshing bath in the pool, go for a walk in the jungle, relax on the hammock, have a massage, enjoy the superb homemade local food...there's just enough for you to do and yet enjoy a tranquil stay away from the hectic tourist destinations. I totally recommend it for a couple of days of pure relax!!!

The nature is awesome, the bungalows are 300m from the beach, and they're pretty comfortable if you're ok with living simply. Cons: The bed is a bit hard and there are some nails sticking out of the bungalows that need to be bashed down - I cut my foot quite badly on one. The bungalows are right behind a bar that plays loud (and sometimes really terrible) reggae music every other night. We didn't mind the music too much, it generally turns off around 1:30am which is before we were trying to get to sleep.

Despite it's seeming seclusion, the resort is just a very short walk - 5 minutes tops - from the main road in town. Around 20 minutes from the beach or an even shorter tuk tuk ride. Staff can arrange for any type of transport you wish, from tuk tuk, taxi to motorbike. I had not felt more at home in any local in Thailand. Definite recommendation to anyone visiting who wants a slower pace & who is looking to hang with the local Krabi people!

He can arrange any trip you want, truly any, ;) knows every part and any person of the island and he will organize you a motorbike if you want. Every Night at 10 pm. you can watch big fruitbats flying over the bungalows...The owner Matt is extremely nice and funny. Because of the situation that his brother has similar bungalows about 20m above "Bamboo House" there is a brand new pool you can use all day long. His mother got a restaurant at the beach only 5 minutes walk. Very delicous! We have eaten at her place on Christmas. If you search for a real experience of Thai hospitality, clean and selfbuilded bungalows and a perfect starting situation to explore the island you are at the right place!

Right next to the bungalow was a communal kitchen for 24 hour use to guests, with markets and stores within walking distance to buy your own food for cooking. They offered scooter rentals, we had major problems with that. The company they rented through gave us a scooter with a bad wheel (the wheel had a spoke that kept puncturing the o-ring, hence flat tire two times in a row.) We wound up leaving the scooter parked on the side of the road and walked back to the property and handed in the keys the same day we rented the scooter. They were kind enough to take care of everything, despite the contract we signed saying that we were responsible for anything with the scooter. They refunded us the $250 baht we payed to rent it, plus what we payed ourselves to get the tire fixed the first time it happened (150 baht) They didn't have to do that, but they did and that was very kind of them during extreme circumstances. It seemed like everyone else riding scooters there were not having issues, so I think we were just having unfortunate luck. For the price (so much cheaper than far far worse options out there) is worth the stay. If you stay away from restaurants on the beach, you can find cheaper better ones just down the road from this property of the main drag. Great location if this is the area of videos you're looking for. (FlinStoned Bar is a 5 minute walk away down the beach, didn't go for the cocktails on the menu ;) Also, this property offers all sorts of tours and good prices, taxi service, destination out of Koh Lanta... Might be worth going through them and save yourself a few doll

Nice little modern bungalows, very clean and private. Wifi does not connect well too far from the main building but in the closest bungalow getting only 1 bar I was still able to surf and stream Netflix without any issue. Might need a signal boost for further rooms. This is more than an accommodation it is an experience. The bungalows are located approximately 185 stairs up from the beach. There you will find your hammock waiting on the porch of your simple bungalow. It is the perfect place to enjoy the afternoon breeze in tranquility. Wi-Fi was available in that area and it was good while I was there. For a small place, there was enough variety on the menu and everything was delicious. Try the panang curry, yum! I stayed 7 days and my bungalow was cleaned after the third day. The monkeys visited three times while I was there . . .they are fun to watch and I could easily hear the ocean while laying in my hammock watching the sun go down. I had a massage at the bungalows and it was good (350 baht) and there is also a great location at the bottom of the stairs. The hosts provided a beach mat to enjoy the sandy beach. There is also good snorkeling. There are only about 30 to 40 bungalows on this stretch of beach so its the perfect place to relax. There is a small beach bar at the north end of the beach to enjoy some beverages. If you are looking for some quiet time by the sea . . . this may be your place!

Look, this place isn't swanky or anything, but for Tonsai it's fairly nice and a pretty good value. The biggest part of this is that you need to realize that standards on Tonsai are different than elsewhere. You have to have dirtbag climber/dirty hippy tendencies to enjoy Tonsai. If you don't you'll probably be unhappy with Tonsai in general, much less Paasook. Yes...Look, this place isn't swanky or anything, but for Tonsai it's fairly nice and a pretty good value. Yes the blankets are ehh. Yes the beds aren't the best. Yes the mosquito nets over the beds have some coin-sized holes. Yes the water is not drinkable. Yes there are quite a few mosquitos. Yes you shouldn't swim in the ocean because there is raw sewage going straight out into the bay. Yes the electricity only runs from 6pm till 6am. Yes the water is cold and the toilets have a propensity to clog. But, these things are all standard for Tonsai, and in fact the Paasook bungalows are better than the rest of the options for about $10usd per night. Basically, Paasook has two types of bungalows - blue wood bungalows and orange concrete bungalows. The blue ones are quite nice, the orange ones are passable. The blue ones are middle/upper range for lodging in Tonsai. The orange ones are fairly cheap (but not the cheapest). I would say that the orange bungalows are better than the other options at the same price. Andaman is a slightly better location and has a better common hangout area, but the bungalows there are much less nice. The other cheap bungalows are mostly further up the forest road. Pro tip - book a night in Paasook so you have somewhere to stay when you get there, then pay for a week at the weekly cash price, which is much better price per night. Also, if you want to avoid "Tonsai Tummy", then DO NOT swim in the ocean. You're swimming in raw sewage. The restaurants here are not typically the source of Tonsai Tummy.

The buildings are new and quite spacious. Host could be more friendly and accommodating. Now, problems. First of all - light in our bed room wasn't working even though it was known that we will arrive. It has been fixed next day only. Second - there is no hot water at all! It was amazing to arrive at these bungalows after our trek from Bangkok to Krabi. Staff was available immediately and welcomed us with information and a smile. Motor bikes were even available on site as well as island hopping tours. Booking from the staff here was much more convenient then going around to booths in the city to find them ourselves. Only thing, which is prbly not the property’s fault, is I was drying my swim suit outside on our patio hanging under our window. The next morning, my bikini top was missing but my bottoms and my sister’s swimsuit was still there. Not sure how or what happened but worth sharing for others to know. Overall, it was a great, safe experience and great location to the city night markets and other attractions. Will stay again.

This accomodation in general is offering real good value for money in terms of size of comfort. It is also fairly peacefull accomodation, disregarding the fast next door is a building site however they do not start beforfe 8am so it is ok. Please be aware the breakfast is absolutely terrible. So please do not allow this to ruin your holiday and opt for room without breakfast. There is a great bistro very next door, family run business. Or several cafes on high street, or amazing breakfast in nearby Oasis bungalows. Our complaint was dealt with by Agoda and we got compensated, but still no improvement has been made. Partially the reason is that there is only one nice guy speaking good English and the manager is not there at all. After 4pm there are usually 2 guys, nice blokes, but do not speak much English at all,. 5 min to beach, 3 min to 7/11 and nearby restaurants.

Only one minus is location (depends on your expectations) - far away from center or beach, not able to stay in Baan Khao and not take a motorbike but you will do it no matter you stay as it is needed to visit many places and is a great fun! Besides that, bungalow is super clean, mr Pong very nice and helpful despite of little problems with communication in english ;) If you are looking for clean, beautiful room and silence this is a great choice. Motorbike can be taken for 200-250thb and I recommend to do so for a great fun :)
