Top Notch Class Service and Impeccable Stay”

New Year has always been moment full of celebrations, due to the fact that not only people all around the world would be saying farewell to the old year & celebrating the new year; but because my parents' anniversary is on that special day. Everything arranged prior our New Year getaway. Made the booking via Agoda, I selected this hotel after a few reads of 5 star hotel choices. My priority was to get a hotel withing the city center, walking distance to shopping malls and some of tourist destinations, with bigger sizes of rooms in a cultural and nature surrounded hotel environment. Bumi Surabaya City Resort has it all. It was a smooth & fast check in even with the NY's eve hectic-ness at the front office. I arranged prior to our arrival, a surprise anniversary arrangement for my parents with a hotel team, kindly confirmed my special requests. Then during our check in, I discreetly reconfirmed my request to the hotel AsFoM, who made every detail of my plan come true later that night. The rooms are spacious with King size beds where linen comforters really feel silky against your skin when you rest at night. AC is with the right temperature at your finger tips, and wifi connectivity at no faulty. Bathrooms are large and bright. Big mirrors,separate bathtubs and shower area. Bath amenities are not too bad. F&B, well this is also the important part of a hotel service... and the F&B team did a great job! So, if you are looking for a place to spend your holiday with assurance, this hotel could meet your expectation. Superb ambience in a city hotel”

Our stay at Hotel Bumi in the central business district of Surabaya provided one of the most pleasant business visits to this city I have experienced for a long time. The restaurants provided an excellent range of food from Japanese, to Indonesian to western style cuisine, all of them with top quality products at very reasonable prices, served in a friendly and competent manner. What more could one ask for. We relaxed and exercised in the large pool situated on the third floor away from the noise of the city streets enjoying a cooling breeze and building a good appetite for the buffet breakfast. We enjoyed an excellent night's rest in the well appointed rooms with superbly comfortable mattress. I would recommend Hotel Bumi to all my friends as an excellent centre within easy reach of the main business and shopping centres of Surabaya. Within the hotel one can relax and enjoy luxury at very moderate prices for such quality.

That was my first time stayed at Bumi Surabaya hotel as business travelers. Hotel is big and located at Surabaya city center. Check in was fast and the lobby is large with aromatic aroma. Garden was huge and well maintain. Room and bathroom both was large but it looks old. The hotel have complete facilities and many restaurant with good taste of food. Breakfast was great with many variation. At night dinner outdoor dinner buffet with traditional food was excellent. Service was good and lots of smiles.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY”

It's a beautiful resort like hotel. Everybody was so friendly right from the Security Guards to the Managers. We stayed for 5 days. Unfortunately my wife suffered an acute food poisoning and fainted in the last day of our stay. A lot of people in the restaurant came to help and also the duty Manager. A BIG thank you from the bottom of our hearts to those who helped out. We had to leave at 5:00am to catch our early flight to KL. They even delivered our breakfast to the room. My wife had to eat something to regain her strength. Upon arrival KL, she was admitted in a local hospital. She's fine now. We enjoyed our stay besides the mishap, it's just so unfortunate. Bumi Surabaya is a good hotel, to all readers please go ahead to book this hotel. My advise is when in Surabaya use UBER or GRAB to move around. We will come back soon.

Good 5 star hotel”

The Bumi Surabaya hotel is an excellent hotel to stay. The facilities are great. The reason why it is only mentioned "Good" in stead of "Excellent" is because it is - for international travellers - unacceptable that the alcohol policy of the city of Surabaya prohibits to sell drnks like a simple wine, etc. The hotel must strongly protest against this rule. Although the bathroom facilities can be improved (read: modernised) it is a pleasure to stay here. For the parking facilities it seems to me it would save time if the reception gives you a stamp on the parking ticket, in stead of having the security phoning the reception again. It takes unnecessary extra time. Further it is wearth to come back again.

Amazing 5 star hotel, Top service and Delicious breakfast”

Had an amazing experience staying at Bumi Surabaya City Resort. Although the hotel is located in the city, you would not feel the hustle-bustle of the city. It is like being in Bali, with the decorations and furnitures. Value for money! the breakfast spread is one of the best I have ever been to. Definitely worth every penny.

I was so glad and missed my time in Bumi Surabaya City Resort, i checked in there on 17, May, and suprisingly got a birthday cake the next day , 18, May which is written in the Passprot. Good enough”

It was my first family staycation at Hotel Bumi Surabaya. The facilities and amenities were great. I love the breakfast (couldn't agree more, right? a lot of varieties of food provided with a good taste for sure), the garden (good spot for photography), the swimming pool and many other facilities. Toiletries also complete. But there is some room for improvements: 1. Staff's accuracy in work. When I checked in the room and looked for the water bottle, I found that one of the two complementary water bottles was not full. I asked my wife (not my sons, because my sons are still 2 yo, not tall enough to reach the water bottle, and 3 months old) and she said did not drink from the bottle. It means that the staff did not check carefully when making up the room. 2. The bedsheets and bed cover were quite dirty like it hasn't changed from the previous customer. I found some yellow stain in bedsheets and tomato-stain-like in back of bedcover. If everything was clean, it would be great.

Big and clean room, got corner room with city and pool view. Big bathroom : hot and cold water in both bath-up and shower works well, has hair dryer, complete amenities such as soap, tooth brush, shampoo, sewing kit, etc. AC, tea/coffee maker works well. TV has many channels, good WiFi in room. Good swimming pool, delicious pizza from Warung Bule (in pool area) with reasonable price. Complete breakfast. Newspaper in the morning sent to the room. Indonesian instrument from gamelan or piano with the smell of lemongrass welcoming guests in the lobby area. smooth check-in and check-out process. Near Minimart/Indomaret (at the corner of the street) about 7 mins walking. Near Tunjungan Plaza (still needs taxi or gocar/grab). Cake shop discount at 17.30. best deal for bread and cakes (50% off). Gellato ice cream only at Rp. 25.000,-. Recommended hotel in the center of Surabaya.

Great Value For Money, Excellent Room and Breakfast”

Bumi Surabaya is my favorit when visiting Surabaya. I found the room is excellent, spacious with good ambience. Breakfast is considered the best among the hotel I've stayed. The hotel also provide large swimming pool, jacuzzi, small pool for kids as well as gym. I recognized it is great in terms of great value for money and would recommend this hotel as the first choice to stay in Surabaya

Unique 5 star hotel w Indonesian touch ”

I’m a frequent traveler and this is one of my favorite hotels. Room is spacious and clean, slightly scented w lemongrass aroma, and the view of Surabaya is magnificent at night. Breakfast is themed on Indonesian “warung” = hawker foods and we can have it in beautiful lush garden. You can find Indonesian artifacts in many corners of the hotel, which makes this hotel really unique. This hotel really deserves the name “city resort” This property was used to be a Hyatt and maintains 5-star luxury ring with it. Located in CBD of Surabaya. If you don’t mind 1km walk, gigantic shopping mall (TP) is here for you. Gym/sauna/25m swimming pool for lap swimming/tennis court/jogging track are all there. Couldn’t like this place more!

Traditional feel in a comfortable luxury hotel”

It's a big luxury hotel in the center of Surabaya. Its location is near from the shopping center, but not too near to make it feels noisy and crowded. The garden has traditional statues and feels nice, calm and shady. The lobby has nice lemon grass fragrant, combined with sweet traditional music to give a traditional feel among the luxurious designed interior. All of the staffs were very nice and polite. I stayed on the 19th floor in a room with city view. The window was large and I could almost see the entire city, which was very beautiful, especially at night. The room was clean, comfortable and fairly spacious. The bed was large (a double bed) and very comfortable. The extra bed was very comfortable as well. The bathroom was really nice. The bathtub was located right next to a large window with beautiful city view. Taking a bath was very relaxing. The breakfast was good, I loved the creamy macaroni. I didn't get the chance to take a look at the swimming pool or the gym, so I don't know about it. The business center was adequate, but at that time the staff in charge seemed a little inexperienced, so it took a longer time to print my 4 pages document. In conclusion, I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel, and I'd be glad to come back and stay at this hotel again.

I booked Bumi Surabaya for my trip with 7 of my friends. We are very happy with this hotel and looking forward to come and stay at Bumi Surabaya again. The staff, location, ambience and breakfast spread were so satisfying. Also, the MAS (Malaysian Airline System) is also within the hotel so that is a plus for travellers using that airline.

Business Trip”

This is our second time here. We purposely requested to stay here since last visit was very satisfying. We have the choice of staying at the more recognised Brand Hotel such as the Marriott or Shangrila but for me the Bumi offers just that much more in personalised service and as a business traveller it really does make the difference. This hotel has that traditional look but has that modern twist too. The service is very pleasant and very friendly. From the receptionist to the room boy will help you as best as they can anytime you want it. The room is very spacious, consists of three parts, the bed, the wardrobe, and the bath with a bathtub in it. Comfortable room, comfortable bed. The bathroom also got a view to the scenery outside. Food is yummy, breakfast has a lot of variety. Aside from business, you also feel like as if you are having a holiday here. Overall, it is one of the best hotel in Surabaya and very recommended!

Excellent hotel”

Best hotel in Surabaya. The room is VERY SPACIOUS. Far more spacious than most 5-star hotels. Air conditioning is very good, the windows are clean. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very comfortable. Bathroom and showers are excellent, and also very spacious. Water pressure is good, and water temperature is very good. Excellent breakfast, the best nasi goreng ever. Very complete breakfast, all delicious and all very fulfilling. The quality of breakfast is very excellent, better than most 5-star hotels. Very nice swimming pool and very nice gym facilities. Excellent staff that are all very friendly, better than most 5-star hotels in big towns such as Jakarta and Surabaya. I would like to compliment Mas Joe and Mas Nyoman as managers, and also Mba Nenny in reception, for their excellent service during my multiple visits to the hotel. Location is close to the city, which is very good.
