Nice”
The first time I stayed here, I thought the rating might have been a touch high. After staying at 3 other highly rated places on Koh Phangan, I think Buakao Inn is definitely a Phangan 9 or higher. Rooms are clean and everything works. Nice room safe, not the poxy little ones you get at most places. Food downstairs is good - breakfasts, sliders, fancy sandwiches, etc. Owner gave me a good tip on where to rent a scam-free scooter. Had no problems, was running tight on time when I dropped it off so the scooter lady gave me a lift to the ferry. Lovely.

In the heart of Thong Sala, The Night Food Market is so close, 7/11 & family mart, bars, night markets, bike rentals, shops, Lomprayah, walk to the pier, it's Thong Sala. If your looking for the jungle theres jungle everywhere on the island. The jungle renters converge at night to enjoy The Night Food Market's great street food. Theres a restaurant on the first floor of the guesthouse that serve cuisine food, great expresso coffee and breakfast. A very pleasant guesthouse with a great staff.

Amazing”
We had a great time in Ko Phangan in this hotel. The owner is very friendly and you feel welcome straight away. The room is not big but it's enough. Only bad thing is that you can't change the air conditioning; it's either on or off. But that's all, great value for money for the location and the facilities.

Great stay in town”
Famous A's downstairs (same owner as the hotel) is amazing diner food. Also they have an encyclopedia from ~1980 which was fun to look through. We stayed here for one night because we wanted to avoid the hassle of getting transportation to the ferry in the morning and it was one of the better places we stayed in.

Good value and good location for ferry”
We were only there for one night prior to ferry connection the following day. We were comfortable and the room supplied everything we needed. It was clean, comfy beds and hot shower. Location is superb. Close to pier, restaurants, bars and shops. Thanks for a comfortable stay 🙄

Buakao”
A nice little guest house , right in the middle of town above a restaurant. Don't be mislead by the picture of a beach in the advertising. Very close to all of the facilities of Thongsala including the ferries. Nice rooms , I would recommend this place to a friend.

Great clean little joint in Thong Sala”
Stayed here for a night before heading off the next day. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room nice and quiet and the room extremely quiet. Would stay here again.

Comfy and cozy”
This a great place to come back to after a day of exploring or to recoupe from a night out. The internet was off and on in our room but the owner was very accomodating. I would stay here again.

Nice location but outdated”
Main concern is that the pictures might be from ten years ago, at least. The interior is very worn out but functional. Wifi was pretty bad despite having almost no customers at that time. The neighborhood is noisy at all time and windows and walls very thin. It's nevertheless a good place if you have an early boat and the staff seem friendly.

I got the single room with fan only - you get what you pay for. It was a hot, sweaty night but otherwise the room was absolutely adequate!

In the middle of everything”
We stayed one night and it was enough for us. I would not have stayed any longer. The walls are paper thin and even with earplugs I was not able to sleep until midnight. The water was either too hot or too cold, and the ceiling fan had only one setting. Only upside is that the bed was super comfty and it was close to 7/11

Homey Feel”
I only stayed for one night, but it was very pleasant and close to town! I love that it felt like a home during my stay - the back garden where I could sit and read a book was definitely a bonus!
