Find hotels near Sukulilo in Surabaya, Indonesia

Despite being very close to the busy and vibrant neighborhoods, culinary spots, and universities, this hotel has a surprisingly quiet and really nice environment. Yes, it's an older building, not brand new, and seemingly hasn't been renovated for some time, but all the room facilities are complete for a 3-star, and therefore, more than satisfactory. It would be great if the hotel could improve their maintenance and fix some of the old fixtures. We enjoyed our stay and will surely consider to make another booking in the future.

Pros: clean room, friendly price Cons: staff were young some boys with earrings who would also bring friends to hotel to hang around and look at phones like all the time, so not professional. My room next to another room that, I could hear, occupied by not less than two teen girls (probably more) and one boy who shout and scream until at least 2 am. I had no idea why the staff allowed the many persons to check in. At 7.30 am, I was still sleeping, but somewhere in another room, I could hear someone doing some repairment, perhaps hammering some furniture quite loud so that I couldn’t go on sleeping.

Once I got there it was great. Being an American and traveling there late at night in a rental car it was sketchy but easy to find. Not in a very nice area but a very real area and all in all it was a great experience. Garden area and pool very nice and pool stays open. Breakfasts at these hotels are hit or miss and this one was truly a hit, fresh, varied and I even ordered a soft boiled egg served in an egg cup that was a perfect soft boiled egg. If you have kids or time to just hang, this seems a decent place but going to and fro wouldn't be to my liking as its so seemingly distant from attractions. Oh, value! I had a big room, king bed, ac, great view, free waters, toothbrush and the breakfast all for the whopping sum if $20 US dollars! By far the best value if any hotel I've stayed at while in Srabaya.

The room was an absolute filth. Cobwebs were everywhere, the room was very dusty, even the door lock felt it was about to give up. The toilet was filthy, reek of piss, it even has the stain of piss on the toilet seat. The bed was very dusty, I still have a rash from it as of this writing. It doesn't have any internet connection (though, I haven't asked the owner/PIC regarding this) even though it was listed in the facilities. The owner/PIC was rude, I simply asked for the check-out time but there were a misinformation about it but they told me to "ask Agoda about it if you don't believe me", I would like to believe you honestly if you could explain it to me. Agoda customer service explained it to me instead (calls are not free you know). At least the staff who greeted me in the check in and out was very nice.
