"The hotel has excellent facilities with enthusiastic and helpful staff. The buffet opens until 10 am so we do not have to rush for breakfast like in other hotels. What I like most is the dessert. Very delicious caramel and mousse cakes. Highly recommend for those wishing to spend a night in Ha Long! "

"Amazing hotel! The view of the Bay from the room was mind-blowing. Also, great view from the pool and the restaurant. The staff were very helpful. Everything about this hotel was excellent. I've been to many other 5-star resorts in Vietnam and this one takes the cake. A lot of the staff speaks English and they have a lot of westerners working around. They've got a very nice infinity pool with view of the Bay. The restaurant frankly was not too impressive. They had a great variety of food, a lot of different kinds of food in fact. However the taste and quality of the food didn't impress me, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't as excellent as all the other things this resort has to offer. I blame it on the holidays, too many people were at the hotel during this festive weekend. They were still building the rooftop so I didn't have access to that yet. They have an awesome golf course with all the things you'd expect from a 5-star resort. The check-out process took quite a long time (again, do to this weekend being a holiday weekend.) I fully recommend this resort for couples or families, it was amazing."

"I've stayed at other Novotel hotels in Vietnam and this one is as good as the rest. Upon arrival, the staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, the bell boy took out luggage to our room. First impression was everything at this hotel has the 4.5-5 stars feel to it. This place is definitely on par with western standards of a high end 5 star hotel. Since it was off season, we got a free upgrade to a room on a higher floor with the ocean view. Let me tell you, this room was phenomenon! The bathroom itself was probably as large as a room at a 3 star hotel. As for the rest of the room, the king bed was very comfortable, there's a balcony where you can just sit , relax, and gaze out at the ha long bay water. There's even a small lounging area with a mini couch and coffee table. Just below, you can see the swimming pool. We even had wifi internet issues, so they brought up a dedicated wifi router just for us to use! Very nice! Overall, this is probably one of the best hotels in ha long bay and I highly recommend it."

"We stayed at this hotel when our cruise on Ha Long Bay was cancelled due to a nearby typhoon and would recommend it only for that purpose. The hotel does not live up to its 4 star status: stains on the carpet, noisy corridors, no wifi in the room, pool and gym of poor standards. Breakfast does not offer much for Western travellers. We would recommend this hotel in an emergency."

"Our guide, Qui was kind, helpful, efficient and always working to do his best for everyone in the group. Ha Long Bay and the Majestic boat were even better than I hoped, the former enchanting and the latter delightful. The food was fresh, plentiful tasty and varied, the cabin was spotless, the staff was attentive and I was sorry to leave. Next time I would do 2 nights. Thanks Qui for all your hard work."
