small and cosy hotel, great staff and location”

It was a very pleasant stay! Our bungalow was small, but design was unique.Hammock was one of the best points of our stay. You can spend many blissful hours on the porch!(but sometimes there was some awful smell.I suppose it was coming from the neighboring toilet). We stayed at Bombora at beginnig of August and sometimes it was very hot at night.When we used the fan it got too cold. Some important details were missing - like there were no cups or glasses in our room.I had to ask for them at the reception. It's a miss for a 3 star hotel. Though, the level of hotels in Lombok is much lower than in Bali. The staff perfomance was great! Bombora Bungalows is a very beautiful and peaceful hotel. Sometimes you can hear loud music at night, so bring ear plugs. The location of the hotel is perfect - 5 min to the beach,a lot of restaurants around,convenience store and laundry nearby! I can recommend the restaurant across the road from Bombora - good prices and very delicious! I recommend Bombora for everyone who want to stay in a unique place!

Excellent stay at Bombora Bungalows”

I stayed at Bombora Bungalows from February 16 -- 20, and it was an outstanding stay. Value for money -- I got a two twin bed bungalow, which had a bathroom, fan and wifi. The cost for four nights was $127, a great deal. Location -- Just a few minutes walk from Kuta Beach, within 100 yards of a currency exchange, transportation agency, three minimarkets and two ATMs. Also just a few minutes walk from Kuta's town area with more eating places. Cleanliness -- Room was cleaned well every day. Staff -- Very helpful and pleasant. Facilities -- The good and the bad. Bombora has a restaurant at the front, which is good (I recommend getting the fresh fish; curry ok but nothing special). Wifi in the rooms worked well. However, I would ask for AC instead of a fan, that the bed be a little more comfortable, and that there not be an opening in the bathroom. During my stay a few wasps came into the room, as well as an iguana. Overall great value for the money, and would stay again.

Excellent value for money, excellent staff”

Bombora Bungalows are awesome. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff are exceptional, super friendly and helpful, they are able to help arrange pretty much anything you ask for- surfing lessons, scooter hire, washing, transport etc. It is only a small place with about 8 rooms arranged around the central pool, but this makes a great atmosphere and you tend to meet and chat with the other guests. The reception/restaurant area is also nice, and there was regularly people- who weren't even staying at the hotel-dropping in to use the free wifi and relax. Be sure to book ahead as rooms are limited and we saw numerous people turned away. Also the Kuta area is still developing and we didn't notice any other accommodation that looked as good as Bombora. Cheers!

Great atmosphere, location & clean! ”

We really enjoyed our stay at Bombora Bungalows - there are about 6/7 bungalows surrounding a pool, very relaxing. Each bungalow has their own hammock and porch, breakfast was great, the location was great and there are motorbikes to rent. The only problem I faced was that after leaving my wallet in the room when I went to the beach (there was no safe in the room to store my wallet and I did not want it sitting at the beach), money was missing (equivalent to ~$70 U.S. Dollars) and I did not notice until after I left Kuta. The staff all seemed very friendly so you hate to think one of them did it, but I had counted my money the morning of and had locked the door during the day.

Great place to stay!”

We had a great stay at Bombora! The staff are helpful and friendly, the room and bathroom are clean, bed was comfortable, the location is fantastic. The breakfast menu is good too and the Lombok coffee is flavourful! We had the standard fan room and it was fine. It got a bit chilly at night that we wished there was a thicker blanket but we survived. Only two minor things though - I wished there were hooks so we could hang our clothes in the room and a curtain covering the bathroom door cos it gets quite bright early in the morning (forced us to wake up early and had a morning dip, so nothing negative about this!). Swimming pool - eventhough a bit small but there was rarely a crowd so it was good to relax after a day of activities. We rented a motorbike through them and had a little accident. The staff - Raf helped us communicate with the owner and all was good. Just be extra extra super careful when riding the motorbike! The hotel is also located in a prime area with souvenir shops along the street and restaurants are plenty. I would truly recommend the place to anyone who's visiting Kuta!

The best in Kuta Lombok”

Initially we only booked two nights then we all loved the place that much that we booked another 3 nights. We stayed in 3 different places whilst in Kuta Lombok all around the same price and location but Bombora Bungalows was easily the nicest.

One word - amazing”

Our stay at Bombora was nothing short of amazing. We were wowed the moment we stepped into the place. The place looks exactly like it is on photos. The manager on duty, Li, was also great and arranged for our transfers so efficiently. We enjoyed our stay so much that we hardly stepped out of the place, lying on our hammock and also relaxing by the beautiful pool. It is the place to stay if you are in Kuta Lombok.

Amazing place with amazing staff! ”

Our stay in Bombora Bungalows was the best time we spent during our trip in Indonesia. Amazing place - nice and comfortable bungalows, pool, sunbeds, garden with palm trees and absolutely great always smiling and helpful staff. We were so happy with the accomodation, that we resigned from staying in Gili's longer and we came back to Bombora. I definatelly recommend this place to everyone! Thank you for this unforgetable stay!

excellent base to explore Kuta and south Lombok”

We stayed in large modern rooms with air conditioning. The showers and plumbing worked well, internet was fine most of the time and rooms were cleaned each day. Each room was adjacent to a balcony with chairs and hammock, and overlooked a central pool. The bungalows are conveniently situated in Kuta. It is possible to walk to several restaurants providing good value for breakfast and evening meals, shops etc. Staff were helpful and friendly and provided breakfast, drinks and snacks from the café situated at the front of the bungalows. Rent scooters at the bungalows and explore the excellent beaches and surfing opportunities on the south Lombok coast.

One very pleasant week in Bombora Bungalow”

We spent four nights in Bombora Bungalows. The room was very comfortable although bathroom was a little bit smelly. Breakfast was nice except the juices. The pool is ideal after a day spent exploring the beautiful island of Lombok

Value for money for the location. ”

Great choice for a short stopover in Lombok. The staff were helpful, the breakfast was great and the prices of the menu if you want to add on were great value. The waitstaff was very friendly. The vibe of Bombora was nice, the garden and pool had a relaxed feeling. The only cons were not having a hot shower which is standard for this price point and the beds were not the most comfortable. The mosque morning prayers were also at a tolerable level. I would stay again for a short stay but just because I need a hot shower for longer periods of time.

Amazing staff, clean rooms & great location”

I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice, clean and chic stay with friendly and helpful staff in Kuta Lombok. The layout of the property is great with each bungalow overlooking the pool area. The rooms are comfortable, equipped with AC and cleaned daily. The staff is amazing, especially Dap, who was a fantastic host from start to finish. They have helped us with organising ground transportation, scooter rental and surf lessons / recommendations (h/t to the I Surf Lombok team!). I can only recommend it and I look forward to coming back in the near future.

Little paradise”

we stayed at Bombora for only 2 nights but we really enjoyed our time. Our bungalow was the nr. 5 and was just perfect! Of course it's not a 5 stars hotel and if you're looking of luxury hotel, don't book here. But if you want a little place, with a smiling and helpful staff, with a comfortable bungalow with private bathroom (and always hot water), with a swimming pool just the right size and in a perfect location: stay here! (ps: yes, maybe you hear the dogs and the scooters, at night, but just bring some ear plugs and it will really not be a problem)

Amazing stay in an amazing hotel”

We stayed in both superior Bungalow and a standard bungalow. Can’t recommend this place enough. Amazing stay for us. The superior is preferred cause it has ac, warm water and a better terrace. You have walking distance to Kuta beach. For us this was not our go to beach. We rented a book and traveled to other beachea instead. Very close to restaurants and party places without it being disturbing. If you have the possibility stay at this hotel in Lombok.

Huddos ”

Staff very helpful.If I can suggest one thing it would be hire a bike and explore this beautiful island.My daughter (15) and I hired bikes from the bungalows and went out exploring.My only regret is I did not stay long enough (see you next year).If you want a hassle free stay, stay at the bungalows.We stayed in the rooms with air conditioning where the other bungalows I think only had fans but are cheaper.Everyone should visit Kuta Lombok 10/10

Awesome Place To Stay”

I stayed there for 4 days with my wife. The staffs were really helpful, especially Pak Wawan. Highly recommended to hire this awesome guy if you want to go surfing, snorkelling or even day tour around Lombok. Food is easy to find especially for Muslim travellers as the food in Lombok is all Halal. Next time, I will definitely stay at Bombora for surfing trip. Overall, two thumbs up!

Great place to stay”

Loved our stay at Bombora. We stayed in the basic bungalows, no aircon but didn't need it. Good size pool with a nice quiet feel to the place. The staff couldn't help enough and we would go back with our kids next time and stay in the family unit. One of my favourite places so far. Just need to put some sort of cover on door from bathroom so room isn't lit up at 5am

Exotic paradise ”

The staff was extremely friendly and helped answer all our questions. The facilities were better than we expected and the place was amazing with few small simple bungalows and the swimming pool in the middle of the area. The area is an exotic oase in the middle of Kuta. Perfect for relaxing! The only negative thing was all the notice from the street and the dogs barking in the night. From the beginning we only booked one night, but we ended up spending one more night than planned. We wanted to spend more nights there, but all rooms were booked so we had to move on to another hotel.

Wonderful resort and the staff made us feel like family!”

Bombora is the bomb! So clean and the staff are so friendly! The servers and everyone at Bombora were fantastic! Highly recommend this resort to other travellers! The only downside was the nasty woman picking her husband's crap off his toes and throwing it in the pool (gross) but that is not Bombora's fault just bad manners.

A small haven located in nowhere”

Bombora Bungalows is located in Kuta, 30 minutes away from the Lombok Airport. We picked this hotel as a stayover for flight the next day. The surrounding areas are quite dead in the night. There are only 2 bars in the same row and few restaurants. So do not expect the nightlife to be as happening in Gili Trawangan or Bali. However, you can rent a bike for USD3.50 a day to visit Tanjung Ann, 15mins away from the hotel. it is by far the most beautiful beach we've ever set our eyes on. The chalet is spacious & comfortable. But beware of frogs, they might be around the pool. I would stay here again in the future.
