didnt understand when checkin timing, all the info about passport was forced to fill in. number, issued/expiration date and else together with all other info. such as address, number, email etc...i dont think this hotel uses the info given or better to take a photo copy of the i.d...instead of filling in by ballpen...we didnt use any diving equipment or else and all payment was done by online so why hotel needs those info by hand writing..

Excellent stay! Perfectly located near the port and right on the beach. Room was wide and perfectly clean and with sea view. Nigel and Janet the owners were very present, friendly and accommodating! And they make barbecue and pizzas, to enjoy on the beach! Thanks a lot!

After checking in I found out that the room was 5 minutes walking up the island. Room was clean, but cramped. Nowhere to put the luggage exept on the floor, just a small locker and a peg on the door.

A very disappointing experience”

We stayed here for 3 nights in a standard double room while doing our PADI certification at another dive resort. For the price we paid (around $50 per day) We were very disappointed for the following reasons: - the room and the toilets were in a very bad state requiring a lot of maintenance and upkeep (e.g. doors with cracks, broken furniture, difficult to flush toilet, etc..) - not clean, and no cleaning done during our stay - shower and bathroom water is salty - breakfast is mediocre - service quality by the staff at the restaurant was lukewarm at best. They seemed mostly bored or uninterested to be there. The only positive thing I have to say about this place is that the location is very convenient if you are attending any of the diving schools.

We were glad to be staying here although we are bit off because we expected a lot from this place. Maybe because of the pandemic they weren't really prepared to accept guests though they had our rooms ready however the pool facility is not. It wasn't cleaned so we weren't able to use the pool. They offer different variations of food but it wasn't what we expected from the price, however we understood their lack of supplies. Overall it is a 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me and my family.

Got what we paid. Not a high end resort. We booked because of the pool, turned out it was not usable (dirty). Room needs better cleaning . Staff can be trained better. Owners are very good but staff are not trained well. Food is great!

-Wifi only good downstairs. -Room was dirty and the shower and tap water is sea water. -Under the bed had 6 months dust and dirt. -Couldn’t sleep till after 11 as the band was loud and the rooms not soundproofed. -View on the beach is only of boats. - staff didn’t know what beach they were working on -Drinks and food pricey considering the above points -Flies everywhere in the restaurant. + breakfast tasted nice

Location is great, a 5 - 7 minute walk from the port. The staff are polite and friendly too. We had a nice conversation with the owner during our stay.

Staff: Owners and staff in this hotel are very accommodating especially if you made island tour bookings with them Rooms: Shower and toilet are the only Plus for the rooms. Towels are provided in the rooms. 2 out of 4 rooms have AC that cannot be controlled. One is missing a remote control and cannot be controlled manually. There is no spare remote that can be used. Other rooms have a cabinet or a cushioned chair(either only available). Aside from the bedside table, there is no other tables available for u to place ur items. We have requested for a table and they were able to provide since its a weekday. No kettle provided and no free provisions like coffee, tea, sugar, toothbrush/toothpaste. Getting hot water costs 10php per cup. Consumables are to be removed from the room and thrown out by the guests. No tv or fridge in rooms. Food: Restaurant food is on the pricey side. We selected to include breakfast in the booking but agoda did not include it in the confirmation. Hotel is good enough to give us a discount for breakfast due to this. Facilities: There was power outage for 2 days. This hotel has no generator for such outages.

Island hopping tour: Food prepared was so-so but huge for the group. They indicated that its 5 locations for the price but they only took us to 2. We were not offered if we want to go somewhere else since its only 2 locations. Snorkeling equipment not offered as well in the package of 1.2k php per head. Boat is a good size for the group. Boatmen are friendly.

We are Family of 14 and stayed at OYO Malapascua Beach and Dive Resort.,, The owner Nigel & Janet are very friendly.. And also their staff.. The food is yummy and the rooms are all clean.. I will highly recommend this location....

Stayed for 3D2N is this place since the D Avila was fullybooked. Upon arrival, we had issues with our accomodation since the standard room was supposedly not to be posted in their Agoda page so we needed to transfer in another room which is in the beachfront area but we needed to pay additional fees since the room has a higher price and there are no other rooms available already. The room was not what I have expected since the ceilings have broken paint marks and you can tell that their walls are already old and dusty. The CR was slippery and they don’t offer any cups/coffee/tea. Also, their food was pricey and they don’t offer free bfast. There are a lot of other hotel bookings that you can check in the island but I don’t recommend this place for a staycation. But, one good thing in this place is that their pizza and cocktails are worth it.

pros: - great location - friendly staff - room price - the pizza is a must try cons: - worms coming out of the faucet - pool is a little cloudy - food was too salty to the point it taste like sea water :'(( - jacuzzi was not cleaned - heater is not working
