- The hotel location is really strategic, in front of the new Dermaga Nusantara Tangga Badjo, very near to Plaza Marina Komodo Labuan Bajo (Starbucks and KFC). - The room was spacious and clean. - The hotel staff are really friendly. You’ll be greeted every time they meet you. They’ll also take care of all your needs, like we’re allowed for an early check in. - The only difference between the picture of the room (we booked the King room with sea view) and the real room is we didn’t get bean bags in our terrace, they were kept on the third floor (the place for breakfast). - Breakfast was either fried rice or fried noodles with coffee or tea. - Overall, I love my stay there and would love to stay there again.

Very nice hotel and warm reception”
Great value and reception service I seldom write a review but I really want to give a thumb up to the reception lady, who is so helpful and attentive. She offered us whatever we requested. We asked for a water heater and she gave us. We asked if there're any attractions around here worth going and she gave us recommendation. We asked if we can park our motorbike we rent near the hotel and she called us a security guard to watch over our bike. How sweet she is! The only issue is the kitchen service on the roof. We had asked for a 7 o'clock breakfast next morning, but they just started cooking the minute we went to the roof as if they didn't know we had made a preorder. And what's worse, they cooked the breakfast for like 25 minutes. We were running late so we had to take away and couldn't enjoy our breakfast on the roof : (

Overall pretty good. Great location, staffs are super helpful, spacious room, cleanliness is good. A few notes: the bed is springy but still sleepable, no refrigerator in room, no parking space (but you can park acros the road), and the most important: small and steep stairs. Not recommended for elderly, or disabled person.

Very clean, larger than average, bright room. View towards the harbor is more quiet than facing the street. Breakfast not to my liking as eggs cooked hot and hard. Good location for restaurant and tour/dive shops. Shopping okay. Be careful crossing the street.

Great hotel with nearly everything you need. Perfect location, right in the middle of town. Pros, huge room, nice big bed, location is perfect, staff are fantastic, nice breakfast. Cons, bring ear plugs as rooms on the street are so noisy plus my room (2) had a noisy air-con, no fridge in the room, noisy hot water system. I would certainly recommend this hotel

Right in the middle of the main road, so it is easy to find food, fish market and boat tour groups. The room was very big. There is a balcony. Ok breakfast on the rooftop patio, overlooking the port. Very good for sunset viewing as well

Too close to harbour”
From 5 am traffic and business started in the harbour and from then on it is really hard to get some more sleep. Otherwise it is a good location, in the main alley of Labuan Bajo.

Positive: excellent location and yummy breakfast. Negative: water cannot get out in the bathroom. If you choose to stay at the ocean view room, remember to ask to stay at the second floor(actually it’s the third floor becoz their lobby is at the second floor)or you will see NOTHING.

Budget stay. Ok for one night. The room I got was pretty worn out but I checked others and they seemed to be in better conditions. Bed was comfortable. The bathroom a little dirty but at least the shower was hot.

Hotel was in good location right by the pier. The roof top bar has great view of the sunset. Bed mattress had bad springs. Needs replacing. There were ants in the room. Breakfast was good. Lots of tour places right by to book excursions.

The pictures make it look better than it is. The location is an easy walking distance to restaurants, boat tour agents, mini mart etc. however it is on the main drag and so it is very noisy. The curtains weren’t able to be fully drawn and so bright lighting comes in the sides, and were not block out level. The bed was fine, clean enough, the bathroom was below expectations - both in layout, safety and function. Mostly we think we paid more than we should have for this type of accomodation. For this price point, you can get something better. All in all if you have no other option, it’s ok for a night.

Blue Ocean Hotel, Labuan Bajo”
Lovely clean spacious room exactly as per the website photo. Handy tea & coffee making facility. Huge comfortable beds with lovely soft thin quilts. Very central & close to many of the dive shops. No restaurant apart from the included breakfast. Friendly manager couple but restaurant staff could be sullen. My main complaint was the ongoing struggle to get breakfast at a reasonable time to get to the 07:15 dive shop start. Despite repeated requests on the previous evening, staff rarely had breakfast ready by 06:50 as arranged, or were not even in attendance by then. Other hotels offer breakfast starting at 06:30 & Blue Ocean needs to do the same as a lot of guests will be divers & all the dive shops require you to be there 07:00 - 07:15 for the day boat departures
