Bhundhari Chaweng Beach Resort”
Our stay in Bhundhari Chaweng Beach Resort was brilliant. It is situated at the quiet end of Chaweng, which suited us. A ten minute walk or a 100 bht ride and you're right in Chaweng. The staff were so friendly and efficient. A special note for Gerry, who was very helpful and very friendly. The beach, less than a 2 minute walk was beautiful, use of hotel sun beds and towels were appreciated. 2 swimming pools, both well maintained were a bonus, one by the beach and one outside our room. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Jean C.

Sort of secluded, but still a great place to stay”
I stayed at Bhundari Chaweng with my mother, and we had a great time. We went during the low season and got a 60% discount on one of the pool access rooms. We loved it! the staff was extremely friendly, the was free buffet breakfast right across the street. and a couple of massage places across the street as well. The hotel is in a decent place, but you can rent a car or motorbike if you want to explore the island. Also, it's not in a very good location if you want to be near the bars and the nightlife action. However, there are songtaews* available to take you to the street with all the bars... Just walk to the main street around 8:00pm and they will be everywhere asking if you need a ride (100bht). Also, the beach where bhundari is located is pretty secluded, which is great but it's not the most popular part of chaweng beach. If you want to be away from all the crazy tourists, this is a great place to stay!! We had no problem walking to the place to rent a car for a 800baht/day... WARNING: do not attempt to drive a manual car, just to save money, if you haven't driven one in 20 years ;) Paying 400 baht more for an automatic car will save you a lot of stress on the busy, hilly roads of koh samui :)

Lovely resort, and very helpful and cheerful staff”
we spent three very enjoyable and relaxing days at the bhundhari chaweng beach resort. breakfasts were good, if heated food, unfortunately cold. other than relxing by the pool, the highlight of our trip to koh samui was the tour of the island. we were collected from the resort, and the day included a visit to a wildlife park (elephant trekking, and monkeys), and a drive through the island's amazing tropical forest. the resort bungalows are comfortable, clean, and spacious.

Friendly, new, clean, excellent”
This is a fairly new resort, about a year old, so all amenities are still new. The main building is about 2 minutes away from the beach, so if you want to stay directly at the beach, you need to book one of the bungalows, which are closer. There are two pools, one near the main building and one near the beach bungalows. This is virtually the first hotel at the southern end of the Chaweng Beach, so it's quiet and idyllic here. A walk to Ark bar along the beach will take you about 30-40 minutes one way. If you like peace and tranquility, this is the place in Chaweng. The only criticism I have is that the (free) wifi is so slow and unstable that it's virtually unusable most of the time. Took me forever to just post this message...

Very friendly stuff, beautiful hotel, not loud”
Beautiful hotel, nice located, nice pools, near to two beaches, very friendly personal with good information about tours around koh samui! The deluxe rooms are little bit to dark, the lights are not strong, when they cleaning the rooms and there are ready you still have to wait for new towels. for us it was very good located, chaweng main area is to expensive( restaurants) and to loud, this hotel is on the end of the chaweng party street. means quit, good cheap thai food, small cheap good bars

Great hotel, would definately stay there again.”
Our stay was great. The room was of good quality and pleasant with a nice design qualities. Extras such as slippers, gown, flip flops, umbrella etc all provided. The kettle in the room allowed us to clean the baby bottles. The balcony wasn't child friendly but we coped. We stayed in the building back from the beach but the more superior rooms are their own dwellings right on the beach. The hotel is at the far end of Chaweng beach which was great for our toddler. It wasn't exactly a hotel for children, but our toddler wasn't a problem. The food was excellent, the best I had in Thailand. The pool on the beach was great, very relaxing. The breakfast wasn't provided and was quite expensive but it was good. NB The tailor across the road 'The Boss' was great. I would definitely return to this hotel.

Great place for a beach holiday”
My wife and I stayed at the Bhundari Chaweng Beach resort and had a very enjoyable time. We had the beach front bungalow which I would recommend if you can stretch to it. The location is great and the room was very comfortable and perfect for a beach holiday. The location is okay if you are there for beach more than the night life. It was an easy walk on the beach to the Ark bar and a few other night spots so it was not bad for drinks and food - just be prepared for a bit of a walk or taxi trip. The staff were fantastic and we found them very quick and easy to deal with regardless of the question. Now for the needs improvement element: 1/ Hot water seemed to be timed for showers - about 5 minutes or so and it goes cold. 2/ Curtains in the bed room need to be darker or have the two layer type of curtain used in other places as a lot of light gets into the room at night. 3/ There is another resort of the much the same name on the other end of Chaweng beach - which means you need to be clear with taxi drivers when being picked. Thanks

This is a great place - right on Chewang beach”
All of the staff were friendly, Pook and Joy especially made our trip most enjoyable! The rooms were serviced well, will definitely be coming back! The resort is basically at the end of Chaweng beach, which is out of the way from the hussle and bussle so if you're looking for something a little more relaxed, but still close enough to the action - this is definitely the place for you.

Great location ”
We stayed in the beach bungalows and a pool side room in the main hotel block. I can honestly say both are fantastic and we had a very comfortable stay. The staff are friendly and informative. We walked along to the centre of Chaweng each evening but recommend hiring a moped from the hotel to get around the island. The pools and beach are clean and safe and although chaweng is noisy and hectic this is located in a quiet relaxing area. Would stay here again.

Surprising good”
Very good. The hotel manager is excellent. Couldn't do enough. Everything I asked for was delived without additional cost. Jaraz is a fantastic host. Have been comming to Samui since 1984. Have stayed on island more than 20 times. I would stay again. The resort has both beach front bungalows and delux rooms 30 meters from beach. Choice of 2 beaches with deck chairs, a pool bar and other bar facilities. Is a 25 minute walk or 50 baht bemo to the green mango which can be a good thing. Hired a car and taxis with no hassle and arranged a golf day and day trips from the front counter.

Exceptional”
Very nice hotel, in walking distance to chaweng center and nightlife, but also quiet enough for family stay. Has all necessary infrastructure nearby, cafes (with local and european dishes), family market, currency exchange, massage salon, laundury, bike rental, etc. Has 2 nice pools (one with view on chaweng beach with villas nearby, and other one in 5-store building with direct acces to pool from ground-floor rooms). All personnel was nice and helpful.

Clean, quiet, very pleasant staff”
The hotel is actually in two places, one multi story building back from the beach the other a series of chalets pretty much on the beach. We unknowingly booked a room in the building, should've realised as it was cheaper then others. The room was very nice, fancy décor and colours, made you smile just being in the room. Nice overlook of the small pool area but felt like the pool belonged to the occupants of the rooms around the pool. That said, we upgraded after the first night to a chalet fronting the second (beachfront) pool and pool bar adjacent to the beach. More expensive but given the location, good value for money. Chalet was a good size, clean, comfortable, views to the beach, well lit with shades pulled back, lovely to stay in. Breakfasts were good and taken in a restaurant on another corner away from both the hotel establishments but belonging to the same group, only a few meters walk away. Positioned at the southern end of Chaweng beach it is away from the bustle and rhythm of the centre of Chaweng, about 1km up the beach, so suited us nicely. A nice walk up the beach and you can find plenty of bars, restaurants and night spots. Would be happy to stay there again

Nice hotel, but not in full operation yet”
Clearly during our stay the hotel was not fully operational yet and still partly under construction (minor works). Overall the place looks very nice and comfortable, but a number of technical and operational issues has still to be solved (also in our room). This makes that this hotel does not quite offer value for money at this moment. I expect that this situation will change soon because the hotel management seems to be a professional one, focusing on quality and service. When finished and operational issues are solved, the hotel will meet up expectations. The location of the hotel is good, with access to the beaches of Chaweng and Chaweng Noi. The hotel itself has a nice pool. There is another pool in the bungalow area, with direct access to Chaweng beach. There are some restaurants and shops in the direct surroundings. Chaweng Beach Road (offering many shops, restaurants and bars) can be reached by foot (quite far), however renting a bike (opposite hotel) or catching a taxi are the better options. The room itself is nice, not that spacious, but well designed. Comfortable bed. Each room has a small daybed, which came in handy for our five year old daughter. Our youngest slept in de baby cod that we brought ourselves. The rooms on the higher levels (3rd and 4th floor) have ocean views. The balcony has an unsafe feel, when small children are around. The hotel has an elevator, which is convenient. Breakfast (which is served at the beachfront was somewhat disappointing, some minor adjustments can make a big difference here (basicly it is al there, but it has a clumsy feel. Staff is friendly and willing, not all staff members speak english well enough. In the end, this hotel has proper potential, but expect some start-up problems when booking for the next few weeks.

Staff made this hotel great!”
It's funny how the right staff can make one's stay so pleasant. They were easy to communicate with as well as understanding and attentive. This hotel is at the south end of Chaweng beach so it is nice and quiet for families, just jump on on of the 20 baht trucks and it will take you anywhere along chaweng. Rooms are huge, we stayed in the deluxe bungalow and had loads of room. Watch out for all the mosquitoes though, we had friends in other hotels and they had lots too.

Nice hotel”
We like the hotel very much. We stayed at the unit where the pool is just right at the door step of balcony, we like the view very much. The hotel is near to beach as well, convenience stores and restaurant are around. It is located 30 minutes walking distance away from the happening Chaweng area where you can enjoy the quiet and peaceful here. Have to highlight that the water mixer is not hot enough, sometimes even only cold water and the wall at the bathroom is crack. Overall are good.

Excellent hotel, relaxing location”
Have stayed here twice now and will absolutely return. The value for money is fantastic & the staff are wonderful. Located at the southern end of chaweng beach so just far enough for peace and quiet but only a 10 min walk to the centre (or a 50baht p/p . There is a mini mart across from reception, a decent outdoor bar nearby with a pool table & their breakfast selection has increased since our last stay two years ago.

Satisfied but it's not 4 star as claimed.”
The only upset was I am driving to Koh Samui from Malaysia and upon reaching, it doesn't seem to have a good car park space. But from the Agoda hotel features, it claimed to have a car park. It seems that the car park is just a small piece of sandy land (full with motorbikes) and I end up parking just beside a restaurant's entrance. I hope it can at least draw up a few car park boxes (maybe 3 or 4 will be sufficient).

Great waterfront resort away from the action”
Nice beachfront location away from seedy areas of Chaweng beach, long walk but only a short tuk-tuk ride from the big night-spots. Nice restaurants nearby, but breakfast at resort next door was disappointing. Bed was very hard, but staff arranged a soft topper which made sleep much easier. Rate was per night including taxes, an Agoda special, but it is not worth any more than that, with so many other resorts nearby.
