Gorgeous and inexpensive”

Cebu has 2 major islands - Mactan and the City. If you love beaches then mactan is for you. The City offers the malls (SM and Ayala) and the business districts. Cebu is known for great scuba diving so i'd stay on the mactan side. Love BE Hotel. Its mostly white. rest rooms are very clean and place is well maintained. The place is also accessible to the airport. If you take a cab it will cost you PHP200 or equivalent to less than USD5. From the hotel you can take a multi-cab to go around. The hotel offers buffet breakfast as part of the package and this is really good. I'll definitely stay here on my next trip to Mactan Cebu.

Be Resorts”

Be Resorts is a hip, and stylish boutique hotel with an excellent view of the ocean and its white sandy beach. The sand is little gravelly and the beach is poor at low tide. The swimming pools are great and excellent for a night swim. There is a dive shop located on premises. Other activities such as island hopping, kayak, jet ski, etc... can be enjoyed for a reasonable price. Stay at Be resorts to explore Cebu, Mactan, and Bohol and the surrounding islands and you'll still have a nice room to crash into when you need a bed and a shower. If you plan on staying in your hotel and room for your entire visit then stay someplace else.

Great location and atmosphere”

We were so pleased with this boutique hotel on the beach. Mactan Island does not have naturally sandy beaches, so Be Resorts has imported sand to create its own private section of sandy beach. The atmosphere of the entire hotel is great, especially the lounge area on the beach with pods that provide good shade. We took snorkeling trips two days in a row, and it was so convenient to have to boat pick us up from the beach! We were also able to get a late checkout so we could shower and pack after our snorkeling trip on the last day.

Microtel Mactan Cebu Philippines”

The Microtel is one of my favorite places to stay in Mactan/Cebu... It has a great look and feel, nice vibraint colors and has an artsy feel, very beachy!!! Great pools and nice beach, volleyball net, freindly courteous staff, great food, big hallways and rooms and great flat screen mounted televisions with cable service. Price is affordable and beach is white sand and pretty and clean. I would recommend the Microtel Hotel in Mactan to anyone, about $60 US dollars a night.

Hotel was overall great”

The hotel and its facilities were awesome. The breakfast was also nice. The staff in general were nice except the front desk people who seemed and acted like interns who needed to ask their supervisor for everything. The front office is the face of the hotel, so it always helps to have well trained people on there. It's a bit of a buzzkill to have issues every time I deal with them. I have stayed in several hotels locally and overseas. BE Resorts Mactan has a long way to go customer service wise in the front desk department. On a good note, pool, gym and restaurant staff were amazing.

Very Nice Hotel”

i have just been to cebu almost two weeks ago and spent 3 days and 2 nights on this hotel. i decided to book a suite room on this resort in mactan because of the good reviews that i’ve read about it. the hotel didn’t fail my expectation. the interior design was cool and modern. it has nice and modern furniture made by internationally-renowned furniture designer, kenneth cobonpue. yoda, chiquita tool and dragnet chairs are some of the cobonpue pieces that they have. the suite room (room 127) where i stayed was clean. it has vibrant colors and very good lighting. the bed was comfortable to sleep at. the room has safety deposit box, a microwave oven and lcd tv with cable. the resort has nice and clean pools. the view from infinity pool overlooking the mactan sea is indeed beautiful. it also has an island souvenier shop inside where you can buy shirts for pasalubong. it wasn’t also hard to get a taxi from this hotel going to the airport. the hotel employees are also attentive to our needs. the food was so-so. i just noticed that there were limited selections of food during the buffet breakfast. i checked on the prices of their foods and i found them quite pricey. except for my comment about the food, everything else about this hotel is nice. i definitely want to go back here to rest, relax and simply enjoy the beauty of nature

Everything is perfect ”

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at Be Resort Mactan. Staffs were all nice and never failed to greet when we pass by. Resort is clean as well as the rooms. Our room is seafront so we really had a great view. The foods at Salt Cafe were also the best weve had in Cebu. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back in this place.

Extraordinary... beautiful scenery...”

*The location is good if you just want to stay in mactan (20 mins drive to the Nearest mall (Island central/robinsons supermarket) and 1hour more or less to SM city mall ) * Traffic is the main problem in generally in cebu if you want to move around the city. * I recommend taxi’s just outside the resort if you want it cheaper way. *Family friendly resort where you can choose pool or beach to swim. Lifeguard on duty. *aproachable and very helpful staff. *breakfast is good but be careful in eating seafoods as precautions.

A nice place to relax...”

we stayed in be resort during the sinulog festival and we're glad we choose to stay in mactan because the city was very crowded which caused traffic. the kids enjoy to pool and beach while we went to the city to have photo shoot during the festival. later, when we are about to go to the airport the staff helped us to take metered taxi (ordinary) for cheaper rate to bring us to the airport. great service indeed.

Best value around the area”

The rooms and resort was really clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. This place had everything you needed and more. This place had a man made beach, the sand was broken down coral, but not as fine as some other beaches, however, they had plenty of seats to chill. They had an exercise facility, billiards, a pool, and free breakfast (may depend on booking), a nice patio to your own snacks and meal. My really only complaint is that its not within immediate walking distance to stores or restaurants. If you feel comfortable walking towards the main area, that's up to you. As long as the price stays the same as how much I paid for, I would definitely re-visit this place if I'm within Mactan.

affordable beach front hotel in Mactan”

one of the best priced hotel in Mactan considering that it is beach front and overlooking to the sea among the other very expensive resorts along the shore. they have infinity pool, though small, it is ok for the price we paid. they have amenities such as play room where we enjoyed playing ping pong. their bean chairs at the beach are also nice where we got to relax and enjoy the scenery. The breakfast buffet is also ok too but not as great as we would've hoped for.

Exploring Be Resorts in Mactan”

I booked a stay in Be Resorts Mactan as I was amazed seeing in the website the on the what its resort has to offer me and my Father. True to what I've seen in the website, is the real beauty of the resort as we checked-in. I felt in love, really beautiful. Though it's costly, but the amenities and other inclusions of it are all worth it.

Enjoyed stay at the resort as for the cost it was the best bargain I could find on the beach The staff was excellent and very helpful. i ate at the restaurant several times and the food was very good. The beach was well maintained and the pools were excellent and the life guards were very attentive. I would stay at this resort on any future trips to Mactan Island

Loved the pool and beach setup”

Would recommend for others to stay here. If you want to be away from the hustle and buzz of the City this is a value for money choice in the Mactan Island. We had a bit of hiccups during check in and had to move rooms due to the first one we were given going through renovations but the politeness of the staff made this less annoying. There is wi-fi all around the hotel / resort but it's not very fast. The rooms are pretty spacious. We booked a standard that had good space for 2 double beds and a window lounge. The best part of our stay was the beach activities available, we went snorkeling every day and the breakfast buffet was generous with choices as well. Can't wait to come back again.

Be Resorts in Cebu is wonderful”

Be Resorts is top-notch in many ways. Walk into the lobby and you see pool, beach, lovely water and you know you are in a wonderful vacation spot. The rooms are spacious, with air conditioning, cable TV (but we did not watch much), comfortable beds with multiple pillows, and excellent shower facilities in the very clean bathroom. The Philippines are known world-wide for hospitality and the staff at Be Resort is #1. Everyone of them had a smile and pleasant greeting each time you saw them. They were never too busy to answer questions or to find an answer for us. Good food in the restaurant and the outdoor eating faciltiy. At night a dinner, and/or drinks, on the Veranda was wonderful. The location is close enough for an inexpensive cab ride to a mall if necessary. Be Resort is close to the Ferry terminal for boats to visit the other islands. Many chairs, chaise lounges and umbrellas on the beach for relaxation. Clear, clean water invites for a swim. The Be Resort was well worth the great rate I received. The vacation was wonderful. I will return.

Good Place!”

I really like this hotel. Everyone was so nice and helpful. It was very clean, and I liked the private safes and all the American TV channels. However... The hotel restaurant was really overpriced, but good food. The hotel beach was nice, but there are better beaches in Cebu. There are restaurants around, but the only one in walking distance is an expensive Japanese restaurant. The hallways are all tiled, so I was woken up all through the night by people talking, partying, or just walking. It's about a 20 minute walk to where Magellan died. 7 minute walk will get you to a great dive shop. If you are adventurous, there are great little family owned stores and restaurants where you can drink and eat for a fraction of the hotel price. There are no computers for use at the Microtel, so if you don't bring your own wifi source, you will have to walk to another hotel or go into the city. It's will cost you 150 pesos to go to downtown mactan by taxi, and 300 to get to Cebu city. Microtel is not well located, but it's clean, relaxing, and a good deal.

Not far away from the Mactan Airport, we tried this hotel as we want to experience a resort in Cebu, though the artificial beach front did not met our expectations due to its close to pebble-size sand; it was well compensated by the pool and the building's organizational art inspired design. They also provide some things to do like water sports, island hopping etc. Activity rooms with Wii, billiards etc. though there's an extra charge per hour. Breakfast was a wide range but nothing special, the fruits only have watermelon and pineapple, wish they had mangoes. Rooms are spacious and with state of the art design. 32' LCD CA/TV with wide range of channels (but there's no CinemaOne since that's what my GF looks for).

Took a trip for island hopping with friends”

Fun and enjoyable. Food and drinks leave a lot to be desired. Staff forgot a request for an additional dental kit that I asked to be delivered to the room. Staff at the bar made sure it was fun but the drinks needs some improvement. Breakfast buffet wasn't too good but had a nice selection. Room was clean and spacious. Pools are well maintained and we'll manned. Beach wasn't anything special although most Mactan beaches aren't anyway. Make sure to take a boat to go island hopping from the pier and take the long drive to Oslob to swim with the whale sharks.

Why visit Mactan in Cebu? Perhaps a little fun in the sun, beachside or poolside? This is why I chose Mactan to visit for 3 nights/4 days. I rely heavily on hotel reviews before deciding where to book. While reading reviews for the Microtel Mactan, most were positive with a smattering of negative reviews. While I can admit that I have never written a review, I was driven by my latest stay to write this one. If you are looking for a hotel where you will stay and enjoy the facilities and do not plan on venturing out, look elsewhere. The pool is tiny and often crowded. Did not see a single person even swimming on the beach. Rented a scooter and spent most of our time exploring Mactan and Cebu proper. Actually spent a night at a real resort in Sogod (while we had our room booked for 3 nights at Microtel). After spending two days and a night at this resort, returning to the Microtel was depressing. Also, read the other reviews about the constant room doors slamming. Its loud, and annoying. The staff was generally friendly, but one rotten apple did spoil the bunch. Found no room service menu in the room so called the front desk for one. The gentleman who answered the phone told me that there was one in the room and that i should look again. So i did, and again not finding one called the front desk. This time the front desk waited a full minute before picking up the phone. He cordially answered the phone and told me he would send one up. Five minutes goes by and we get a call; its the front desk asking us what we want to order. After telling him that we did not receive the menus yet, he said that he was not going to send one up, but instead was willing to read the entire menu aloud to us over the phone. I found this be a little ridiculous. Long story short and about $30 later, we had two cheeseburgers and fries. Do not plan on walking anywhere from the Microtel. You will need some sort of transportation. Bottomline: Comparatively inexpensive hotel on Mactan

Clean, spacious rooms,”

not within walking distance to anything (but cabs are cheap), nice hotel and staff. expensive as they slap a 20+% surcharge on all food and beverage purchases. the hotel is mostly filled with guests from korea as the hotel bundles up tour packages that cater to koreans (not a bad thing, just an observation). huge walk in shower, very comfortable beds. since our departure flight was so late, we went to the casino adjacent to the airport, dropped our stuff off and gambled for a bit, then went into sm mall to shop for 6 hours to pass the time, got a cab back to the casino, gathered our luggage and went to the airport. nice experience, but spend your time at bantayan island where you can really relax. mactan is just too commercialized to really relax.
