Karuna El Nido Villas
El Nido,El Nido - View on map
"Probably the best place to stay in El Nido with incredible views, and the best sunset on their infinity pool. Villas are clean & spacious villas with super view, and the staff is really nice, helpful and friendly. Best wifi in town, and works better than the internet hotspot we got "

El Nido Reef Strand Resort
El Nido,El Nido - View on map
"I find this resort perfect. It exceeded my expectations. Sunset view from the pool is stunning. Even the depth of the pool is perfect (for me). Food in their restaurant is fantastic. For a family-run resort, I find it professionally managed with a touch of personal interaction. Rose, one of the owners, is accommodating. Her cooking's flavorful. Love it. She steps up and personally handles the kitchen in the absence of other staffers. As it's a small and simple resort (but lovely, with great facilities), they may seem undermanned at times but the owners will readily step up and be of service to guests. As a matter of fact, I find the compactness of the resort (8-10 rooms) part of its charm. It lends an atmosphere of close privacy that's almost creates a feeling of exclusivity. It's relatively secluded from the rest of the town center. Walking distance through the residential area but you can avail of the resort shuttle (tricycle) service. Don't forget to contact them so you can be picked up from the outskirt of the central town proper so you won't need to walk. But you can of course opt to walk all the way and appreciate the neighborhood if you don't mind the dirt road. Price is on the high side, but fortunately, I didn't feel shortchanged. It's worth it. The room's HUGE, tidy, well-kept and new. Next time I'm here, I'll try and request getting a room by the pool directly facing the sunset. Yes, will definitely stay again here next time I visit El Nido. If budget is not much of a concern, it will be great to check in here for your entire El Nido stay. However, if you plan to have at least one entire day of relaxation in your room/resort, in between your adventures in El Nido, you might as well spend it by checking in for a day/night here. There's a good pool and the beach is also right in front of the resort. Lastly, the resort's own generator will ensure that you have power/AC/TV round the clock that you won't even realize that there's a routine/scheduled bla"

Stunning Republic Beach Resort
El Nido,El Nido - View on map
"Corong-corong is roughly 15 minutes away via tricycle from the El Nido airport. This part out of town is considered to be in the outskirts of the most popular area which is El Nido Town Proper. Best decision I made to stay here at Stunning Villas--it overlooks the ocean and you can walk right out to it. Do keep in mind that this isn't like all the other beaches--you're welcome to go for a dip, but it is shallow waters and there are somewhat sharp rocks to walk past through. This area, I would say is more of a hub where people can park their boats. Nonetheless, the view is spectacular. Through the beach you can walk to eateries; my favorites being Doublegem (a restaurant and hotel) and La Plage. If you want some peace and serenity, stay in this area. There are some construction taking place as you can imagine, Palawan is becoming more and more of a destination area and the province is trying to keep up with it. If you want more a more "lively" feel, stay in Town Proper. Tons more restaurants and bars, although crowded and loud all throughout the night. Another tip for travelers--I think mostly directed to those who have high expectations with "all inclusive resorts"--keep in mind that you are still in a country that's considered very poor. The level of service they provide is considered outstanding in comparison to the condition the locals are living in. Most places you go within Palawan, electricity is ran by generators so expect some outage, if it even occurs. The locals are also very honest and humble. You'll realize that prices for the tricycle rides are standard across the board and no one is trying to haggle you. You will definitely get your money's worth here so try not to be too stingy and appreciate the local's services. Love it here and will certainly be back--I just hope the area doesn't change too much, even though tourism will almost guarantee that it will."

Bulskamp Inn Hotel

"I stayed here for 2 nights with my dad. The hotel is very well localized in el nido. You can walk around the city at night and do everything by walk. The hotel has tours to visit the highlights of el nido. The rooms are cleaned everyday and the breakfast can be served with additional charges (very good american breakfast). The manager always gave us great recommendations. Honestly, great place to stay in el nido and don’t forget to ask for recommendation, you won’t be disappointed! "

Spin Designer Hostel - El Nido
El Nido,El Nido - View on map
"The hostel literally opened two days before we arrived and only another two days later it felt like it already had gotten hugely popular, guess word spreads fast. We felt like this is by far the best option you have in El Nido on a budget, most other hostels are just dark rooms in someones home. This however FEELS like home. "Design" Hostel is not exaggerated, everything has been thought out in the design and looks really really modern. Service is great, extremely attentive staff that care for every little and big request you have. You get breakfast in the morning, which would only be toast, butter, jam and fruits if they didn't also give everyone two free eggs and got someone to prepare them for you (e.g. sunny side up or omelette). Rooms are very clean, aircon works just fine plus they also have fans and lockers are very big. Bring your own locks though. Just one thing...we felt like there were bed bugs, we had weird marks on our body apart from the huge mosquito bites you seem to get in El Nido anyway. Minor issue though since the whole package is just awesome."

Rosanna's Pension
El Nido,El Nido - View on map
"I was supposed to stay somewhere else, and I’m glad I changed my mind at the last minute. Rosanna’s Pension is situated on the beach front. They also have another building, which is just in front of their main building, that has the family rooms. Since you’re in El Nido, you’ll most likely be out for Tours and their location is perfect they easily access the boats or even the tricycles. I’m solo but my room has 3 beds which can fit 5 people comfortably. It’s a basic room with a really really cold AC (perfect for summer nights), a TV with Cable (signal is a bit weak though, but you’re not going to be inside your room anyway), 1 bathroom with a water heater, a dresser, and a wardrobe. The breakfast choices are limited to 2-3 each day. I didn’t mind since it’s free anyway. They also give you a free coffee or hot choco (both instant) and OJ (instant). During my stay, there was a power interruption from 7AM to 7.30PM. The lady in the reception area gave me an electric fan to use while waiting for the electricity to be turned back on. Their generators are powerful enough to use all the lights, electric fan, TV, and the power sockets to charge. The staff are friendly enough but not smothering to a point where they greet you all the time. They also remember all the instructions I told them before I left for my tour. When I got back to my room, all the requests I made were made. If I go back to El Nido, I’ll stay here again. Areas for improvement are: change the shower heads. Offer more breakfast choices. Put up tables and chairs at the beach front so customers can sit there during breakfast. Put up beach chairs for sun bathing in the afternoon. Put WiFi repeaters or routers in the back building so we can access the internet even in our rooms and not just in the lobby area. Do a general cleaning at least once a week inside the rooms, where you’ll use insect killers because there was a huge spider in my room and flies, too. "

Mina Grande Beach Cottages

"Highly recommended place to stay in El Nido. We had a great and relaxing stay at this place. Friendly and accomodating staff. The owner is very kind for upgrading us to a deluxe room. Beachfront accommodation with a very nice view of the sunset. You could also rent a kayak for only 100 pesos per hour. Nearby the market, restaurant, and convenience store. "

"I booked a bed I a 4 bed dorm but Jay An gave me a private room instead. In Christmas Eve I was walking on the street and fractured. I sended someone to the hostel for my passport and card and when Jay An found out she came to the medical center to check up on me and didn’t charge me for the night, she even came again after Christmas dinner with food for me! The rooms are really clean and nice and the view from the rooftop is amazing. "

La Salangane Caalan Beach Villa
El Nido,El Nido - View on map
"Most of the hotels in El Nido are pretty small especially for the price as people aren't really there for a nice hotel room but to explore the beauty of the island. The location is a bit of a walk from the heart of the town but we didn't mind it. At most it was 20 minutes it was a good walk, safe even at night. Renting a scooter is a cheap option for you as well, we really enjoyed exploring the island with it. The room was exceptionally clean and daily serviced by non other than the amazing Miriam. She can help you with everything, from booking trips, renting scooters or any relevant questions that comes to mind. She is also very kind and hospitable. The room was spacious, it had a little kitchen and wooden floors. The bed sheets were daily changed, trash emptied and restroom cleaned... by Miriam. Outside there's a table for you to utilize whether you want to drink there or have dinner. My favorite was the hammock facing the beach! Also Makulay is a dope breakfast spot! :)"
