Lovely hotel and great service”

It was a pleasant stay at Bastille de Launay. The room was clean and sufficient for a solo traveller. The staff was friendly and very helpful with my needs. Great location with easy access to Metro and plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area. I felt totally safe in the area. I would definitely come back again on future.

Amazing and clean hotel in the heart of Bastille (La République)”

This hotel is perfectly clean, comfortable and well situated within walking distance to Bastille and Le Marais. Metro station only a 5 min walk away, and lots of restaurants and historic places to see all within a short walk. Hotel staff are friendly and will go out of their way to make you comfortable. A great, value-for-money hotel if you want to spend time in Paris and don’t want to be ‘hotel-bound’. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful stay extremely friendly staff ”

Hotel is located in the hip Bastille area, near 3 different metros, very convenient. Room was clean,comfortable and frankly big by Paris standards. The best part about our stay was the friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel reception staff. We met 3 of them in various shifts and they were all equally helpful and warm. It was really the most pleasant stay we had.

Great location, very good service”

We travel quite often to Paris and spend rather little time in the room. So we admired the location of this hotel, which gave access to hot spots of paris like Bastille and Marais and was ideally situated to three metro stations. The rooms are very clean and the staff more than helpful. We recommend this hotel for short stay in Paris when spending a long time in the hotel is not an issue.

Clean Reasonably Sized Hotel ”

For a Parisian hotel, Bastille de la Launay has reasonably sized room which is clean and well kept. The staff is ever ready to assist with a smile. There are many restaurants or eating outlets nearby. However, it's still a good hotel and we will not hesitate to recommend to friends.

Quality hotel, good location and lovely staff”

We had a lovely time at this hotel. The quality of the place was great from the staff, to the cleanliness and size of the rooms (by Paris standards). Love being in the Marais which is great for shopping and restaurants. Overall would recommend it, and would stay there again when pack in Paris.

worst hotel staff attitude - will never go back ag”

i booked a single room but my husband would be joining me on the second day of my stay. i was ready to pay for an extra bed, but the hotel staff didn't say anything when my husband checked-in a day later. i thought that's no big deal, since they didn't mention, my husband and i could just share the bed and save some money. a night passed by, we went out the next morning, greeted the staff as a couple - still nobody say anything. we had a last night on the 2nd day, we went back to the hotel passed midnight. you wouldn't believe what the staff at the reception told me. he said that it was my fault that i booked a single room for 2 people and according to the hotel policy, they can't let two people stay in a single room. (mind you, the attitude was poor, he kept blaming on me and other staff for not telling me earlier! i asked him to prepare for an extra bed and i'd pay for it, he said no. i said i'd pay for the difference of a double room, he said no. he said, "the only solution is that my husband has to leave the hotel immediately." (we're talking about 1am at night) i asked him, "is this how the french interpret 'hospitality'?" then he gave me the first "yes" of the night. incredible isn't it? to keep the story short. we finally got the police invovled. (at around 2am, i needed to explain the situation to the police with my terrible french.) and the whole thing was so-call settled. now you understand why i say i'd never stay there again.

Short but sweet stay. ”

Our stay at the hotel was short, but sweet. The hotel is conveniently located. The service was great, the staff were very friendly. The only complaint would be that our room was located on the ground floor next to the reception, with the walls being quite thin it was sometimes quite noisy. This aside we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Hotel in great central location”

We arrived after an overnight flight from Joburg. They were able to let us check in to our room at 830am. Very friendly staff and very comfortable hotel in good central location.
