Bari Lamai Resort; Rayong”

I and my family stayed in a beach front villa, which was spacious and beautiful in the beginning of year 2009. The villa is nice as it located next to the quiet and unspoiled beach. There has two huge bedrooms (one with sea view), a living room with connecting dinning room. The service was excellent. Almost all of the staff are very friendly and very helpful. The swimming pool overlooking the ocean was great. Food is excellent and tasty. We really hope to return to Bari Lamai Resort soon.

Underrated resort close to Koh Samet”

Had an amazing stay here. The room faces the pool and sea, also comes with your own front porch. Quiet, peaceful and a great escape from the crazy crowds of Koh Samet. The food at the restaurant at the resort was really good (fresh seafood!) and reasonably priced. The service was also top notch. I’m very surprised that Bari Lamai hasn’t gotten a 9-9.5 rating on Agoda. Very underrated. :)

Peace and tranquility”

From the moment that I learnt of the Bari Lamai hotel I knew it would be a place that I would like to experience, I have to admit it feels more like a Boutique hotel for couples or families as the recreational facilities are bare but you are not far away from Koh Samet (about 25min boat ride so you can enjoy the water sports that you will not find in Bari Lamai! Overall the rooms are large and spacious and reasonably priced I would like to stay in the Villa on my next visit as it looks fantastic!

A little gem by the sea”

A wonderfully peaceful little gem of a resort hotel by the sea. The beach in front of the hotel is not really that nice but it is clean and quiet very little rubbish. This hotel is manned by a mostly female crew whose service standard is mostly top notch. Overall a beautiful quiet resort that is situated close to many seafood stalls. Two thumbs up!!!! Well done, Bari Lamai!

For Perfect Peace”

This is a small boutique hotel miles away from Rayong so ideally a car is necessary, but that applies equally to the larger hotels further along the coast. The hotel has only 18 rooms, consequently the facilities are appropriate to the size. For us it was perfect. The pool and sea are clean, there are no beach sellers and there are no high rise hotels or apartments in sight to spoil the natural environment, only green trees that line the road to Rayong. The dinner menu is not extensive but the quality of the food is excellent and beyond our expectations. The breakfast is not the normal buffet, but that would not be appropriate for the size of hotel. However, the staff provided all that we asked for. Overall this hotel gets top marks and we will certainly come again.

Nice stay at Bari Lamai”

The hotel itself is not very big but it has a nice comfortable feel to it; offering a peaceful & quite environment dedicated to relation.. We had a ground floor room with a big verandah with direct access to the pool. The room was large and was split on 2 levels. The staff was very sweet and helpful. The breakfast buffet was good and very filling. Also since Ban Phe pier is a couple minutes away, the hotel staff offered to take us to the pier at no extra charge. Also, since it was our honeymoon, the staff brought us a lovely vase of fresh red roses to decorate the room. These were all so greatly appreciated :)

bari lamai is a very nice resort.i never had so fiendly and helpfull staff as here.also the food is exellent.

Just right beach front resort”

The resort is the only beach front resort on Haad Suan Son, Rayong. You can relax with ocean view from your bed if you stay on 2nd floor. Or you can enjoy pool side, if you stay on 1st floor. But it'll be a bit noisy from kids playing in the pool. Room decoration is essential. I really enjoy it.

Very peaceful and relaxing”

We enjoyed our stay at the Bari lamai, peaceful and relaxing nice view of ocean, rooms are clean and spacious, enjoyed food there close up to ferry for ko Samed,wi fi not clever.

Quiet hideaway”

we spent just a night before going to koh samed, but we really wished to stay longer. very quiet sea and stylish room, the best part is to have swimming pool just in front of our room. staff was really kind, breakfast was just nice, amenity for the room was good. i recommend this place for couples and families, as well as solo traveler who wish to spend quiet holiday with reading, yoga, swimming and relaxing. we would love to come back to rayong just to stay there again!

Great view + Very large and super nice room !!”

We came Rayong with a little paw, a american cocker spaniel for business trip and relaxation . We were so excited when we arrived, especially my fluffy :)) This property is located on popular sea view so it looks very splendid sunset and we can see from our balcony. Our room is very large and cleanliness, but bed is quite uncomfortable .

Old, tired and not good value.”

Stayed 2 nights at Bari Lamai Resort in "Beachfront Deluxe Room" and we were disappointed. Firstly a "beachfront" room should be...on the beachfront not on a second floor with a beach view from the balcony. Room was well below average considering the price. Dirty windows with curtains that had been stitched up to repair them looked like no one really cared about the presentation. Towels that were old, thin and frayed. Front door didn't close properly. Breakfast was below average with a poor selection and quality. This place has the potential to be special, lovely view and a nice beach, but 4000+ THB per night is ridiculously over priced. Location is ok if you have your own transport or just want to relax, but it's far from anything much remotely interesting. Overall I would rate this hotel 4/10 at best... "fantastic" it definitely isn't. I would not stay again.

Nice and cosy hotel”

My family enjoyed stay in Bali Lamai so much. We had a good time there. Nice bedding clean room and good service. Good breaky I cant find any negative point there. Will definitely come back again.

Pet friendly hotel”

This resort is located on the beach. The room has really nice view of the ocean. We got the room no 402 which is the far end of the building. So, we can heard the noise from the car passing by sometimes but when consider that they're pet-friendly hotel. We can accept that. The room was nice decoration with roses. The staffs are friendly and helpful.

very spacious and newly decorated ”

I've stayed here 2 times now and for the price this is my favorite hotel room in Rayong. The room has all the comforts - flat screen TV, stacks of cable channels, DVD player, internet (decent speed) and a very comfortable sofa. The shower is awesome with 2 shower heads, one being a large rainwater shower head. The rooms are large so it can take a while for the air-condition to have an effect, but it does eventually get reasonably cool.Superior Room I stayed was very spacious and newly decorated (the hotel was newly built, in fact). Everything was new and modern. The hotel is in a quiet area which I enjoy as it's away from the nightlife.

Small friendly resort”

arrived from bangkok to warm smiles and a welcome drink. resort directly on beach, not fantastic beach but adequate. beautiful room on 1st floor overlooking ocean, cool sea breezes. excellent food in open air restaurant also overlooking ocean. get out and discover the surrounding areas on one of their scooters, baht for the day. take a slow ferry to koh semet for the day, hire a scooter and drive on some of the worst roads (bumpy, dirt tracks) you will ever come across, very interesting. overall a great place to stay and unwind. would definitely stay again.

Surprisingly delightful ”

Went to the resort with wife and 2 boys (4 & 2) and were pleasantly surprised how comfortable the resort and location was. Staff was very friendly, the Thai food was delicious, location being beach front is a big plus. The pool is about 30 x 4 meters long with 3 various depths which was great for the kids. The atmosphere was quit and relaxing which is what we were looking for. The beach sand of brown and the water ‘greenish’ but the water is shallow at both high and low tides which is great for 2 young kids who love the water.

Lovely hotel”

The best thing about this hotel was the position as it was right on the sea front and are room lead right on the sands with only the swimming pool in the way the food was good also and you eat over looking the sea the only thing wrong was the area of Rayong was not very clean and nothing to do in the evening

Love it... will be back for more great memories. nice place for drinking with group of couples relaxation and view from the bed room is just perfect. it's very well planned hotel and being far from the baan phe pier keeps the private beach clean. Would reccomend to travel with own cars and good for local/ thai residents.
