If a peaceful, clean, hideaway is what you are looking for”

Balai Adlao, is located in Lio eco-tourism estate, together with sister hotels Casa Kalaw and Hotel Covo. Whilst the Lio tourism resort is quite a distance from the main streets in El Nido town, it is made accessible by a complimentary hourly shuttle bus service from TKDC central office in El Nido town. The rooms are clean and spacious, good value for money. Hotel staff are all warm and friendly. The resort was lit up with pretty eco-friendly christmas decorations (think wooden trees) when we were there in December. There are restaurants (and a massage spa) located within the Lio resort so we didn’t need to head out of the resort when we wanted to wind down after a full day of island hopping! Jetty provides a really pretty view of the sunset too. Overall definitely a great place to stay for travellers looking for a hideaway from the usual buzz of El Nido. Will choose to come back to this place if I’m back in El Nido in the future!

Beautiful Estate”

Balai Adlao is one of 6 resorts in Lio Estates in front of Lio Beach (one of the beaches to visit in El Nido). It’s part of a developed complex that’s beautifully designed and has many establishments around the complex. Several restaurant and shopping options. It’s perfect for a serene family get away. The beach is right in the complex so its just a 3 min. Walk to the beach. We’ve already decided to book here again if we ever go to El Nido.

Relaxing stay ”

Balai Adlao is located in Lio beach which was a beutiful and quiet beach. If you are looking for some R&R then this is the place. The hotel is 10 mins away from El Nido airport which was very handy.

Balai Adlao ”

Hotel Balai Aldlao is located on Lio Beach. Together with other hotels and restaurants, they create a calm and quiet atmosphere on the Lio beach. The rooms are simple but have everything you need. Buffet breakfast. Beautiful and clean beach. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from El Nido Airport as well as to the city center. This is the perfect location to relax from the crowded and noisy El nido.

America in Palawan”

This was the only resort were rooster were not residents. Lots of older people because of the secure location and convent transportation. I stayed in Palawan for 30 days and did the Manila to Puerto Princesa shared van to El Nido same for return trip. If I do this again I would fly Manila directly to El Nido and do the monthly rent here; free shuttle to downtown El Nido and Airport, bottled water coolers were a plus. Nine independent restaurants/bars/shopping within private grounds. It was well constructed match any US resort. No bones in the chicken items.

Would definitely recommend this hotel!”

Stayed in this hotel with kids in first week of June. Close proximity to the airport and they provide free shuttle upon arrival. Love the forest atmosphere, but beware of mosquitoes. Please bring your OFF spray. Room is spacious, the restaurant is airconditioned and great atmostphere. I can’t stress enough about the staff, they are polite, very accomodating. I apologize of the few I forgot their names but Wilson and Vic were couple of the staff. Hotel is close proximity to the Lio beach, it is not white sand like Nacpan Beach. There are restaurants within walking distance, do try out El Nido Grill! Big serving and food is good! Free wifi and fast at the hotel. I would definitely come back and stay at this hotel if ever I am in El Nido, about 15 minutes drive via shuttle service to town proper. It is secluded and private.

Just a good hotel within very rewarding natural area”

Balai Adlao is in reality just a simple hotel without proper facilities and with overall very simple offer. Anyway, regardless of the mentioned, the hotel is located within very rewarding natural area that has practically unspoilt beach, wonderful greenery and several restaurants that make the entire experience quite satisfactory and I would say that this entire property called Lio is among if not the best place to locate within El Nido area. Lio property, along with Balai Adlao hotel is connected with El Nido town by 12 daily shuttles and the airport is also nearby allowing the incoming and outgoing guests of the hotel free transfer to and from the airport. The breakfast is somewhat mediocre and mostly adapted to Asian tastes. To conclude, the overall experience was good and I would recommend the property to anyone, especially to those who prefer the nature and the beach without a crowd.

Nice place to relax ”

A very quiet and peaceful place away from the busy town of El Nido. Perfect to just relax. The staff was amazing!!! I requested for a special surprise dinner for my husband's birthday and they have exceeded my expectation. Shuttle service is available every hour going to the town of El nido which is perfect because we have the option to stay away from the crowd or enjoy the night life of El Nido. Will definitely come back and stay with them!

In between El Nido town proper and Nacpan Beach”

Ok so Lio Beach is beautiful. The rooms were nice. Location is about 15 minutes drive to El Nido town proper and about 30 mins drive to the most beautiful beach, Nacpan, in the other direction. The restaurants were a bit more on the expensive side unlike in town but pretty good still. My only complaint would be that Lio Beach was infested with sand flies or "nik niks". I'm also a magnet for insects (even with bug spray) so if you are, do not go near the beach. My boyfriend isn't so he barely had any bites, I however, was covered. I'm not sure if the hotel has any control over that like maybe spraying the area??

Very good”

We were supposed to stay at balai adlao, but, due to some renovations we were transferred to Casa Kalaw. The location of the hotel is very good since it is away from the town proper and lio beach is superb, most especially when sunset. There's a lot of restus in the area. But super expensive. Though, I recommend Jungle Bar by Pio Pio, I think, theirs were cheaper than the others and the ambiance was amazing. The hotel itself was okay. No toiletries unless you call them so they can provide. Wifi is good but not reachable in our room. The breakfast is okay. Typical breakfast for a hotel (Pastries, cereals, fruits, meats etc) If you really wanna relax, go here. Quiet, peaceful and very relaxing. Note: it is 15 to 30 mins drive going to/From the town. There's also a free shuttle so it's very convenient to go to the town.

Close to El Nido airport and good value for money”

The hotel is very good for money. They have outstanding and very helpful staff ( especially I would like to nominate Ran and Anjenith in the reception) They did their best to help us. Breakfast can be improved a little bit but still good. The hotel provides a free shuttle to El Nido city center once in every hour. Overall, highly recommended.

Best place in El Nido”

The complex is very nice with everything you need like spa, few restaurants, cafe shop, beach bar. The beach is very nice and not crowded. Free shuttle to El Nido town, you can also book different trips or shuttle or even rent a bike. Rooms are very nice and clean. Good Breakfast. Good food. Most of the restaurants accept card payment and there is also an ATM on the complex.

Last Minute Booking”

We decided to avoid taking the death ride back from El Nido to Puerto Princesa so it was nice to find a place so close to the airport. Place was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast aws okay but the restaurants overlooking the beach that were close were amazing. Definitely want to return.

Lovely staff, good clean hotel, beware sensitive to mites ”

Wilson (the manager), Joan (server at the resto), Jocelyn (front desk) and Dr Martin were all at the top of our lists for being very nice and amenable and at the very top was Vic (at the front desk) who was not only helpful but very thoughtful. They truly made our stay better. The hotel is good, clean, modern enough with a good location. However it being relatively new (is a year still new?) the beach or grounds have loads of mites which feasted on me after our 1st night leaving me with more than 36 red very itchy raised bumps! They apparently have that reaction with sensitive skin like mine as the rest of our group had no such bites. The staff were most kind changing our bed and beddings and getting the doctor to have a look at me who gave me topical ointments. The shuttle to town is a great benefit however guests need to be informed it’s 1 van per hour that’s fills up fast so the earlier one goes for a trip the better. On the downside is the food. Teresa the cook/chef-in-training made eggs for breakfast to suit all tastes. The days she wasn’t cooking were days 3-5 sets of eggs were rejected in our group of 6! The 4 mornings of breakfast buffet we had were highlighted by the Sunday buffet which had everything done right (Teresa was cooking the eggs,The bacon were crisp, the baked beans and the soup were nice and tasty)! The real low-point was our last lunch at their resto: one of us had a very odd Hainanese Chicken that didn’t have the broth-cooked rice, nor the usual sauces, the other had a pasta that was way over cooked to the point of pasta stuck together, with an unremarkable sauce that left the noodles swimming. The other restaurants in the property were overpriced for even their specialties were not very good. We had much more enjoyable meals at Maremegmeg and in town.

Balai Adlao is strategically located in Lio if you want access to the beach, shops, and restos. The staff is understanding and accommodating, I travel every month due to work so I can be demanding because I know what to expect. This is vacation booking so I was disappointed when I found out that there is no pool and ref inside the bedroom, my advice is to read all the specifics. The buffet breakfast is not much, so don't expect a lavish one. For the entire 3 days stay, bacon was nowhere in sight despite personally requesting for it.

Family Vacation”

Stayed here with my family in January. Here are my comments: Pros: Proximity to Lio Airport Uncrowded Beach Free and timely shuttle service to town Friendly staff Lots of restaurants Complimentary hotel shuttle Cons: Not enough beach chairs No drinks service at the beach Was expecting for a high end spa Breakfast was just so-so Rooms kind of shows it's age even if it was newly built a year ago.

Amazing resort --- far from the maddening crowd”

The resort is 2 minutes from the airport, and the complimentary shuttle to and from the airport/town proper is a great bonus. Facilities are well-maintained, the staff are very courteous and always eager to be of service, and a beach to boot! The room was clean, linens were fresh, bathroom was spotless. The accommodations really made this a great vacation! PS...try Globy's restaurant --- beachfront, and delicious meals (i recommend their mexican dishes. yum, yum, yum!)

Exceptional”

Not sure if it's our tummy or something we ate in Lio Resorts, but 4 of us had tummy ache during our stay.... Anyway, this is a good hotel than those in El Nido town - 4/5 for this hotel. :)

Highly recommended”

Nice little hotel with a superb private beach area(google LIO Beach). Very clean rooms and very clean beach. High level service for the price. Next to airport(only 4 flights per day - so not too disturbing) and has their own airport shuttle. Quiet and really secure area. Restaurants and shops all around. This place was a really nice surprise! I would go back there.

Wonderful Experience!”

Me and my 3 friends stayed at this Hotel in November 2017 for 3 days. The hotel facilities, the services of the staff, the breakfast buffet food that they served everyday, and the entire view of the Lio Resort were superb. The location is perfect for people who are seeking a serene and quiet place to chill with.
