a warm village ”

We stayed 2 nights at family suite in badian resort. We arrived in the Island in the evening even thou it was a 2hours long adventurous journey we forgot our tiresome after the resort,s warm greeting and the impressive fantastic room. The resort has wonderful beach, mountian views,beach views which make you relaxed and forget all the worries. Just being there and close your eyes you will feel like you are in a paradise! One of the unforgettalbe memories Badian gave us is their guest care and services. Our baby was so sick during the stay. And they took us a hospital several times with a kind great assistant. They did everything for the baby to be cured and back in good condition from the begging and the last our departure at the airport. Thanks to her our baby is now great. and playing well again. We will never forget their kindness and good dinings with beatiful rooms and facilities surrounded by nature. I would visit and stay there again!

One of the best resorts we stayed at in the Philipines”

We stayed back in May 2019 and although the review is late, I must admit the staff were amazing. The food was amazing. The rooms were amazing. Every part of this resort made us feel like we were special. The fact that there was a small boat ride to short was actually rather nice, as it removed us from the hustle and bustle of the streets. We still got to all our tours easily, and it allowed us to really relax and enjoy our holiday. They have thought of everything here, and for the cost (very reasonable) it far out did some of the larger more expensive resorts we stayed in on our travels... so happy to write this review for Badian Island Resort - it is worth all 5 stars and some more. Would highly recommend this place as a base.... so beautiful.

Exceptional”

We had a great experience staying at Badian Island Wellness Resort!! The staff were very polite and respectful. Knowledgeable of their work. Our tour guide Junvie and driver Berto were very humble and has great attitude!! My boyfriend was so touched with their gesture, we ended up inviting them for drinks since its his birthday. It was their first time to seat as guests in the dining table and first time in 30years to drink red wine!! It was a touching experience but we were happy that we were able to share our blessings to others! We will definitely come back!!

i represent a russian tour board. our community in live journal (cheaptrip.ru) is the biggest online community in the world. what we do is travelling and developing new destinations for our customers. i and my friend visited this very resort recently and felt ourselves treated like kings. it's a very private and paradise-looking place, that can be very special for you, for the family, for the lovers. i know a lot of people who had honeymoon in badian resort and spa and going back each year. you are welcomed by a special song on arrival after a 3 minute boat ride to badian. all the villas a comfortable and of traditional kind. the food is great, very hi-end quality, natural, they also have a pastry-master who does that perfect cheesе cakes. this is also a perfect location for divers as it has tours to the best philippines points like percador island. thei5r spa is award wining and truly amazing experience. then you hear that farewell song and it turnes you to tears because you just don't want to leave that people and place. it's like you have found the relatives after 20 years. very touching. i hope to be back soon

Welcoming and relaxing”

This is a great place to stay for unwinding on the beach. Plenty of options for things to do - snorkling, scuba diving, hobie cat, boat trips to a waterfall, island hopping, windsurfing and swimming. Lovely white sand beach for sunbathing, attentive staff to bring you food & drink there. Speedy room service, excellent buffet dinners. It's a fascinating 21/2 hour drive across Cebu and a 5 minute boat ride to get there. If you want to shop you can go into the town of Badian - just 10 minutes by boat & car. No problem arranging anything. Just call the front desk. Ana is gracious and accommodating. We loved the staff, Ana, Grace, Aga, Dennis, Hans and many others who bent over backwards to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The owners escorted us to our boat as we were leaving. A charming couple. Altogether a wonderful place for getting away from it all. We loved it. Manuhay!

5 Star Accommodation at its best”

We enjoyed our stay in Badian Island Resort. My husband and I went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were with our 3 kids ages 10, 9 and 2 and stayed at the family suite. The warmth and hospitality of the staff are unequaled. We felt so special from the time we arrived til we left. The kids had so much fun doing the boating. We went to their coral garden. The speed boat is very convenient. The warm welcome and the serenade when we left are my favorites..place is lovely..it has the tropical feel with flowers all around. The place is very exclusive...the white beach is to die for...

A place where you feel good, part of a big family.”

I hereby would like to comment to some previous comments given by others: Some people complain about the pricy food. Please note I have never eaten so well, every single day. This restaurant is equal or more to European standards!! The daily 6 course dinner is an enjoyment at itself. So, the price might be high for the Philippines, but well worth!!! Some people complain about the poor airco in the suites and villas. Please note these buildings are built as per native traditions, which means not entirely sealed of. The airco gives a cool breeze throughout the room, which is definitely sufficient, also for sleeping. Some people complain about the distance between airport and resort. It is indeed more than 2 hours driving. But just consider it as sightseeing, as part of your vacation. What is wrong in exploring the native life in the Philippines? Just relax, sit back and watch. Or take a nap. My enormous respect definitely goes to the owners of this resort, who pay a lot of attention and give a lot of care to the local island community, by giving job opportunities, health care, utility provisions, etc..... RESPECT!!

Warm and Relaxing Stay; Amazing and Unique Experience”

The resort exudes privacy and luxury. I like that there aren’t a lot of guests in the resort so it feels like we have our own private island. The warmth and hospitality shown by the staff are unmatched - very friendly, courteous and professional. Services were quick in a way that when we have requests delivered in our rooms, we didn’t have to wait long. The family room is very spacious with a mix of tropical, coastal and even modern design although there was a faint “old house” smell - I think the rooms could use some scent diffusers. Because of the design of the open bungalows, there were a lot of mosquitoes at night but just inform the staff and they are happy to provide you with mosquito repellant. Food is delicious! Although food choices for the dinner buffet is a bit limited for its price, it was compensated by a cultural performance entertaining the guests while they enjoy their meals. Bar was reasonably priced. We also enjoyed their Thalasso Waterfalls (filtered seawater), you need to book it in advance so you can enjoy it privately. The beach is great during high-tide but is not very appealing during low-tide. A major plus is their staff welcoming you in the island with flower garland, cold towels and welcome drinks! Overall, it was a warm, pleasant and relaxing stay for me and my family, while having a unique and memorable experience.

THE BEST MOST RELAXING TRIP EVER”

We had a three night stay in the island and it was all worth it. We arrived late but they waited for us for the private boat transfer. At the time there were only 3 groups of guests. They set up dinner by the beach side. And we had a show. Sax and blues. Island dancers and fire breathers. And welcome drink is great. They have cold towels to meet you. The room is big. We had the junior deluxe. King size bed, big cozy seating area, fridge, balcony with a sala set and a hammock with a partisl view of the sea. The bath was big. Separate urinal for him. Bath tub by the balcony was already prepsred with flowers. Breakfast is served ala cart but was bountiful. It was served jn a restaurant with a panoramic view. Beautiful. Birds will greet you. Bar and restaurant are reasonably priced. Food is exquisite. They grow their greens in thtir own gardens. It feels like you have your own private island. They had so many freebies like a boat tour for yhe coral farm, all non motor sport equipments. They even have tbeir tree planting ceremoby for the honey mooners. I had my massage in a villa overlooking the sea and mountains across. They have yoga sessions in the morning. The night before we left their staff gad a private show for us to bid us farewell and gave ys shell necklaces. I was very moved. This place is unforgettable. It costs the same as the 5 star resorts in mactan but it is 10x much better. I was in the another resort a month ago. Also jn thrir suite. But this place is quiet. Relaxing. You see the stars at night. Sunset is breathtaking. We will be coming back. Most definitely.

Lovely paradise island and get away”

We stayed for 2 nights with my family!!= It was the best holiday ever. We fell in love with the place straight away. Its the best island resort we have been ever been to and not to far drive from cebu city itself. A very nice private island resort.. 5 Star treatment from the staff.. Lovely food.. Big spacious rooms, not to mention the private touch from the flower decors of our rooms everyday.. We also went to the other side of the island for snorkeling. We were very much looked after by the staff! The owner of the resort come over and welcomed us which was very nice of the them ...Definately worth coming back

Beautiful resort, expensive food and extras”

This is a quiet and peaceful resort except in the evenings when there is always entertainment which you may or may not want. We were upgraded on arrival from the Family to the Badian Suite, which was very large with a big balcony overlooking the ocean, though the view is considerably obscured by foliage outside the room which needs attention. Everything in the room is luxurious, although the room safe failed on three occasions and the phone also went dead. There is no TV though this does not matter to us. The pool and beach are beautiful. We got a big discount through Agoda compared with booking direct. As we were also upgraded to a much more expensive room, we had a very good deal indeed. There are no good restaurants nearby so you are obliged to eat at the hotel most of the time. the food is very expensive and not always good value, for example when there is no buffet breakfast. All extras, like spa, excursions, hire of kayak, room service are also expensive. Wifi however is included. Alegre resort in Sogod is nearer to Cebu, the food is better value and the evenings are quieter. There is no entertainment. Both are beautiful and excellent resorts.

Lovely accomodation and professional staff”

The Badian Island resort and spa is an enchanting place, with high professional staff, excellent room condition. Health care is emerging not only from the spa services but for the overall care of details and relaxed mood. The sea was a little bit disappointing, the water even if was clean has a dark ground and the overall perception wasn't so nice. Fortunally there was the swimming pool.

The best romantic island for couples and family”

We had a wonderful time at the Badian Island Resort and Spa. It was good for relaxation and family bonding. We had a wonderful time together as a honeymooner. We will be back again someday with my family for vacation.

Wonderful Resort ”

The best island resort I have been in Philippines. The drive was pretty far drive from cebu city. A very nice private island resort. Great food and superior service. Large and spacious rooms. Enjoyed all activities, especially snorkeling. Great staff and customer service. Definately worth coming back, but will have to enjoy I consider enough time to accommodate the three hour travel time

Very thoughtful hotel staff”

It was great way to end the summer. Our memories would not have been complete if the very helpful staff did not provide us with a laptop and generously gave us a blank dvd to burn our files since we forgot to bring an extra memory card. Our friend's birthday was made extra special by the presentation by the hotel staff, flowers, and a very delicious birthday cake. We have tried many 5-star hotels already but Badian Resort and Spa's staff are the best in terms of friendliness and service.

It was an amazing experience.The Badian island is isolated and not so crowded. The staffs were so friendly and helpful. The seafood was amazing. We did quite a lot of watersports there. They had fireworks for Chinese New Year and it was srtunning. We will definitely get back again next time!

Awesome service, exceptional staff, beautiful!”

My husband and I and our four children aged 18, 5,3 & 1 just spent 4 nights 5 days in badian island, we had an awesome trip with great service, we were greeted with handmade flower necklaces and a welcome drink, the staff knew everybody's names and addressed us by name during the stay. They had a themed dinner every night with live entertainment. The food was really good with a lot of variety and they helped by catering to my picky eaters. The beach is small but quaint and there is also some activities you can take part in even with small kids, we went snorkeling, had free dance lessons on the beach, and so much more. I would like to commend the young attentive staff who made our stay so enjoyable. We were also sent home with a serenade and beautiful personally addressed shell necklaces . Awesome trip we will definitely go again!!

An expensive tropical getaway for relaxation by the sea.”

Overall ambience is very nice. Very quite and prestine with a little bit of mosquito wrestling from time to time. The staff are generally nice and polite except that I can still feel a little bit of discrimination if you have a brown skin and speaks Cebuano. They sometimes have the look of someone thinking "what the hell is this Cebuano-speaking brown guy doing here?". But the entertainment during dinners are cute and quite fun. The buffet dinner is sometimes very limited to 6 to 7 recipes with no lobster nor fresh oysters on the menu and for the price of a 5-star restaurant. Lastly the rooms are huge and the balcony of the Badian suite is breathtaking, the size of the beds are huge probably meant for "ménage et trois". But the mattress and the sheets are horrible.

badian island resort is fantastic. it is a great place to relax, get married, anything you want. staff is extremely friendly. the grounds are kept immaculate.

Romantic Getaway”

We stayed here for three nights. From the pier you are transferred by speed boat to the island which only takes about 5 minutes and welcomed onto the island by singing staff and given a flower garland around the neck which was a nice touch. The rooms are large with air-conditioning. The rooms themselves are a little dated but still comfortable enough but not mosquito proof. Luckily I had taken my own mosi net which proved itself as no net was provided. The resort is totally beautiful with a gorgeous beach and pool where we spent most of our time as there is waiter service to you from the bar nearby and great WiFi, probably the best WiFi in the Philippines. The restaurant provided excellent meals although they are pricey. Breakfast was included and excellent. Highly recommend the golden pancakes served with butter and maple syrup. The staff are really sweet and will bend over backwards to ensure you have a stress free stay. Overall I would highly recommend staying here.
