Clean, modern, comfortable”

Baan Mai Kradan was clean, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was simple, the showers were hot, and the dorms were clean. Definitely a great spot in Chiang Rai.

Spoke to my aesthetic palette ”

I love the aesthetics of this place. This is what made me visit Chiang Rai. Plus the white and blue temples. The staff was very welcoming and had super helpful. As a travel blogger/instagramer, I travel and stay at different kinds of establishments. If I may say so, this gem fulfilled each and every traveling need of mine. * My only suggestion is too clean webs in the female shower (ceiling) and show how to turn on hot water. Lol

i liked baan mai, very nice llace, clean rooms, nice sitting areas. i would stay again. only things I didnt like where 1 when i arrived my bed sheet was torn, but that was replaced 2 bathroom was clean except for spider webs behind door+ 1 sink was clogged 3 the taking shoes off thing is bit inconvenient (but not a deal breaker) i recommend this hostel

Great beds, privacy, WiFi , everyone is on their phone so hard to connect with other people, free good fresh coffee from local beans( not instant) amazing front desk staff especially the a.m. young women! Nearby cool cafe and restaurant! Best value for hostel in Chiang Rai! No party hostel!

Location is great but the rule is too much.”

We stayed 2 night here. The location is great, center in the city. The Stuff also very helpful. Breakfast also okay and they provide free salad and dink. Even we rent a balcony room with our space but the hotel rule not allow us to bring any food or drinks to the room so I feel link we can’t use our space as we want. The hotel face to western so it was hot on afternoon and the air-condition is slow to cool the room down. Overall I think it was great for dome but not a private room.

This place was new and everything was well decorated. However, because it was new, you can still smell the fumes of the paint and the chemicals from the plywood roof that they never sealed in the room that we stayed in, which isn’t the best to breathing in all night. The room also wasn’t sealed all the way, so several mosquitos got in (there’s no mosquito net) and it was easy to hear people’s conversations through the walls. The bathroom is open air, so be aware of the draft in cooler months, and insects will also come in this way. Since I booked this on Agoda, I used the filter option to look for places with a pool since the weather has been incredibly hot. Well, we showed up and there was no pool. And since it was Song Kran, it was difficult to find new lodging. I did mention it to the staff member who showed us our room, but he didn’t understand, I’m assuming from a language barrier. So overall, for a place with no pool, I think we paid two times as much as we should have. I would look elsewhere for a private room as there are several other nice guest houses in Chiang Rai.

Best hostel ever”

This hostel is super clean, well organized and super cute. It’s very modern and staff takes the time to ensure the facilities are kept clean. One con is the distance from the center of town although it’s only about a 15 minute walk to the action. Would stay again!

Nice fancy chic place”

Location was walkable but not in town center. Very clean comfortable cute place. Shared bathroom was very clean. Felt fancy. Staff very helpful!! Only one outlet for 3 people. Walls very thin. But beautiful place!!

Exceptional”

great hostel. very clean, nice common area and garden and good breakfast too. it's 10' walking from the center which i consider as an advantage. The staff was very polite and helpful

Best Hostel in Chiang Rai”

This place has unique atmosphere which I feel relaxed, peaceful. Convenience to access to temples, fresh market, walking street and 7 eleven. Local food surrounding the hostel is delicious and reasonable price. Hostel decoration is extremely modern, I will come back stay here and introduce to my friends for sure.

Lovely but loud”

I’m sure I am just repeating the same things everyone else has said but the hostel is lovely and clean, spacious and architecturally outstanding. We booked a private double room, however on arrival staff said there was a problem with aircon so they moved someone else into our room, however they were upgrading us to a balcony room, which is also more spacious. We thought great start! As a backpacker/traveller it is nice to start the day with breakfast which is included/can be purchased at the property for a small price. Not a big range but it’s enough if you’re only staying for a few days! As it was raining the majority of our stay and as you need to walk around with no shoes on, the wet floor on the outside areas are not exactly pleasant and rather slippery. I think if we were in a dorm it would have been great, but our room was right above the common area, with loud music, chattering, checking in etc and there was only floor boards underneath us. VERY loud with 2hrs sleep at night.

Lovely stay! Wish we'd stayed longer ”

The hostel was very clean and the facilities were always well maintained. The beds were super comfy which makes a change from other hostels we've stayed in! We love the added desk and curtain around the bed it felt like your own space where you could shut off for a while! The place was very secure as we had lockers under the bed and a key fob to get through the main door in the evening and a lock on each room! The only thing we would say, breakfast was a little limited and we wished it had more choice but overall we couldn't fault this place!

Cozy bed is like staying in the 5 star hotel. Cabin bed has big space for a person, there are personal lighting and curtain to hide me for who passing bed. Environment is peaceful with wide yard, I can relax in the Hostel for whole day. Easy walk to temples nearby and even taxi is easily called by Hostel's staff waiting only 5 mins for taxi arrival. I really like this Hostel, highly recommend for solo travellers.

beautiful looking hostel”

the outer appearance and the interiour of this hostel look amazing! I had a six bed dorm room for myself as I was there in low season. unfortunately the locker was very dusty so my stuff got dirty but that is really the only thing that bugged me a bit. Nice and free breakfast, bycicle rental (first 2 hours for free) and you can wash your clothes for 60 Baht (independent of the amount of laundry).

Great locations with parking spaces. Beautiful architecture, great environment, and decent staffs. Everything was great and comfortable but it turns another way when you feel you want to rest in your room. In private rooms, You'll hear the guests chatting for hours and hours until 1am and starts again on 6am. The water pressure is low so water heater makes the water too hot. Electric sockets are loosen that you cannot charge your devices properly, especially EU plugs.

really blown away by the facilities and staff. So kind & clean. It feels brand new - huge overhead showers, eclectic bathrooms, open air lounge, rooftop, and large new white fluffy beds. LOVED IT!
