It's best if you drive to Penang, this is a quiet place for a relax stay. Sound proofing needed to be improved as we could hear footsteps on the wooden floor in the room.

One Night Bored as hell”

Stayed for one night. Since it's located in the middle of nowhere you can't do anything out there without a motorcycle. A walk to the next smaller shop takes you about 45 mins each way. Woke up because a Chinese family had a children's birthday party (8am). Dead insects in the beds, dorms haven't been cleaned ages. Staff is friendly though. The pictures reviewed in the Internet must be months old (and show the best condition the guesthouse could have, it looks way messier there and the terrace isn't really opened) They don't provide any food besides toast and noodles, breakfast is 5rm. Place isn't secured at night, everybody could walk inside. And it's about 2.7km away from the last bus stop in balik pulau (bus ride from Georgetown to balik pulau takes about 90 minutes). Next beach is about 3-5 km away. Wouldn't go there again.

A unique holiday”

I'll definitely like to come again. This is another kind of hotel, far away from city, even town. Basically we were staying inside a village, which, I feel really peace and quite, and to enjoy my holiday. The problem of this hotel is its rooms are made from the wood, the sound of others chatting and walking will wake you up. The owner is really warm and kind, I like him.

Friendly Owner, Helpful Staff”

On the whole, it was decent. I like the fact that the staff is helpful with my questions about locations of places and recommendations of food and visiting. However, the location of the guesthouse is quite poor and it took me a while to locate it. The level of cleanliness can be improved too, as there were lizard droppings on the floor where we are expected to be walking around barefooted and cobwebs could be seen in the room.

far from anything”

well we had no other choice as to stay there due to the marathon in Georgetown. its far from anything you should get your meal drinks etc in advance. you can use the fridge. bike rental was convenient but then there is not too much to see. a plus was the free shuttle from the bus station. but that should run frequently so u can go to the city and back. Staff was friendly and tried his best to make our stay as comfortable as possible, rooms need a make over, some beds were dirty.

Thin walls, not suitable for light sleepers as it can get noisy if the other visitors are rowdy. At night, passing vehicles going through the bumps will be noisy as well. Air conditioning is good and cool enough. The place was moderately clean but it is to be expected as it's a outdoorsy place. Close to villages with fresh air. Not highly recommended

quick nice area but not really good for toilet and bathroo have to share with all other guest and all women and men are sharing same toilet and bathroom. bathroom also got problem and the door was broken. not recemended if you travel with family

It's damn cheap, I'm gonna admit but the condition is so dirty, I can't even walk into the toilet. I can't sleep properly too. Imagine the share room has ants, plants, dust and some kind of dirts around the room... Not to mention the door can only be close from inside but can't lock outside which means I can't leave any of my items in the room while I'm out to travel. Besides, the location is in the middle of nowhere. Other than that, I need to tip the guy 10 ringgit for check in early, well OK fine. Overall experience, cheap yes, worth it? I rather pay more to avoid this place if I would have know the condition of the room more earlier as the pictures and review shown were different
