No room access or wifi in the middle of the day”

This hostel is one of the cleanest I've ever stayed in. Probably because they lock it down for 4 hours between 11am-3pm everyday to clean it. During this time, you are not allowed to be in your room, even if you have a private. You can't run up to your room to grab something, or drop anything off because your key will be deactivated. You also can't sit downstairs to use the wifi because the wifi is turned off during this time as well. I've stayed in a lot of hostels and I've never experienced this before, it was very inconvenient. Also, as a couple, we booked a private room. We were unpleasantly surprised to find bunkbeds. We had to both climb on the top bunk at night because there was nowhere to sit and the lower bunk was too short to sit upright. I'm not usually one to go out of my way to write bad reviews but I wish I would've read more of the fine print about of this hostel before booking. It was a great deal and the location is pretty good. There is also a really cool wine bar down the street that we loved. However, I would not re-book here next time I'm in Paris.

A good choice in Paris”

As we all know, the accommodation in Paris is not pleasant, so it's really good to find such a hostel not far away from the MTR, surrounded by shops, and attended by nice receptionists. The room is satisfactory for the washing in every room even I just booked a bed, and it's actually duplex, by that I mean my bed is on the second floor by a staircase in the room, very cute.

Nice People, Good Location”

I was in there from Jan.30 to Feb.4. The facility is in renovating at the moment. I hired three rooms on the ground floor. Good price, Good location to use subway. People in reception were so kind. Free breakfast - bread + butter + jam + juice + coffee(or other hot drink) same everyday but nice. Ground room no1 is the best. clean and wide. other rooms might have small shower & toilet.

Fabulous... worth your money”

I stayed in a private room in this hostel thinking it to be a hotel as I booked it through this site. However, though it did not have any room service that we are used to, it was Value for money. The Location was excellent with the subway station closeby with lots of bars, fast food corners and restaurants around. When it comes to Cleanliness, I give full marks and yes not to forget the excellent staff who were always ready for help. Would love to come again...

Good location :D”

I like the location here, it's near Bastille and it has local market every week. You can reach there in 10 minutes walk. We stayed at 4/F and carrying a heavy luggage... LOL It killed us when we have to take them up and down again haha. But anyway, it's quite cheap and including breakfast. The breakfast is so so, but the room is quite safe. Only 3 shower rooms at my floor, so it needs to wait sometimes. And no shower after 11pm (which is good to avoid the noise). The staffs are nice and helpful. Overall it's acceptable for a short stay.

A thorough Review”

I would recommend this hostel because it’s cheap and in a good location. Just like any other budget hostel, you have your good points and you have your bad points. I’m going to complain about those now. PROS: -There are subway stations Everywhere in Paris. This location is right next to the Picasso museum (not so great) and a lot of bars and restaurants. (buy a one week metro pass for 27 euros and take any train / bus!) -While the breakfast is a joke, just a coffee/tea/juice box and a small baguette, there are about 50 fruit/vegetable stands up and down this street right next door. Apparently not a single traveler at breakfast noticed this and jumped on the chance, though - there is a locker at the front desk for tiny valuables/passports - only two beds in a mixed dorm--- great deal and price - there is sink/faucet in each room (at least in the two bed dorm). Very helpful - there are two bathrooms in the lobby CONS: - my room was immediately next to the shower room. The pipes/

Value for money”

Staff is very helpful. We liked Julia helped us with changing the room to ground floor as my husband had difficulty climbing 4th floor. Cleanliness is good. Good value for money. Breakfast is basic but acceptable. Luggauge storage facility is good. We would have been more happy when cafetaria had given us breakfast even on arriving late by 5 minutes over closing time.

Overall: cheap and acceptable for short stays”

If you don't care too much about the quality of staying and are under budget, here could be a good choice. No fancy things here at all but you pay what you get. I stayed in a 2 people private room with my boyfriend so we have no private issue to share with strangers. We have a faucet in the room. Shared bathroom and toilets are outside on the same floor. 24 hrs reception. Breakfast included! (save $$$) Con: You have to leave at 11am-3pm, and you have to give it back the key whenever you left the hostel, which may cause a waiting line in front of the reception when you are back because everyone else is doing the same. (It happened, especially at night.) The room is a bit humid. Wifi only works for 1 day in my room during my 4 nights stay. A bit noisy at night because our room is on the first floor. Only 2 chargers in our room. Overall, I may come back just because it got everything a traveler needs under a budget.

Nice staff, poor rules”

Staff was the highlight for me. Really friendly group of individuals and they had all the information I needed. Breakfast was average (bread, jam, butter, juice, tea). Rooms are also decent - although my bathroom smelled like sewage on the last day of my stay. The hostel made me switch rooms halfway through my visit (quite a hassle). This would have been fine, but the hostel also kicks everyone out of their rooms from 11am-3pm AND cuts off the Internet. You can't even stay in the lounge area for that time. It's just an annoying policy and seems really unnecessary considering I am paying for access to the room & amenities. Overall 5/10.

Not very clean. Will not book with them again”

Pros: 1)located close to river and Lyon station. 2)Friendly staff and willing to help Cons: 1)lots of cleanliness and hygiene issues. Staff were kind enough to change my room but that room was also dirty. Reason: hand-wash basin/sink present inside the room. Damp towels banana peels etc. and lot more. I was simply told that hostel management can't control what other occupants do. Other hostels have measures in place to ensure hygiene in the room 2) no elevator. very narrow staircase. My room was on 4th storey. 3) storage space for heavy luggage/bigger bags in basement. The basement stairs are uneven and basement tunnel is narrow. I almost tripped over twice and sustained abrasions on my elbows. 4) breakfast was pathetic. One bun, a small piece of butter and jam, a 250ml juice and black coffee with a sachet of creamer. All these are put in a tray for you and you can have these only once. I have stayed in lots of hostel with similar pricing and much better bed and breakfast options.

Extremely budget hostel”

3 sets of showers and 1 toilet per floor, warm water, good pressure. Relatively clean. Spacious rooms. Fortunately only had to share with 1 other, rooms have their own sink which I was grateful for. Sockets only on 1 side. Breakfast was mediocre but free, so can't complain. Lovely bakery around the corner. Great location, easy access to several metro lines and buses.

Good location. But you must leave the room at 11am that's annoying ”

I find it very inconvenient if you must leave the room from 11h to 15h every day. That means you can not sleep until noon and it might be annoying for people who sleep late. The bed wasn't very clean, I got some allergy on my skin. The floor is very clean though. Breakfast with juice and coffee is good.

The most horrible hotel in my life”

The hotel has schedules for everything. Firstly, you must be outside between 11 am and 3 pm. I have travelled in many countries and I met such a service for the first time. It is absolutely inacceptable, especially in Paris! It is your holidays and you MUST wake up and go out before 11 am. After that you have no acccess to your belongings. You have no possibility to walk at night or go party. In every hotel all over the world it is up to you whether you want your room to be cleaned up and you can enter it at anytime and use your things. Secondly, you can use a shower untill 11 pm. Moreover, the hotel provides NO TOWELS. Even the cheapest hostel in my life gave the towels. Thirdly, you can use a microwave only untill 11 pm. And finally, there are NO duvet covers. Furthermore, you must leave the key at the reception everytime you go outside. Then, you are required to show a receipt to get the key. I will BY NO MEANS RECOMMEND this hotel.

Location is good, 5 minuets go to metro by walk, the big problem is that the quilt a great taste, and there is no quilt, I haven’t used the quilt all night, the room is close to the street, there is a coffee bar downstairs, it is noisy at night. The advantage is that the room and toilet is not crowded.

This hostel has a Best location. Everything super clean. Staff is very good. The only thing is WiFi we need to login Everytime, overall it's best!

30 old years”

The place was fine but if u go on their website, u can see "allowed under 30 old". So I call them because I rented ( paied) before to see this. They told me "we can refund u so it's ok for this time but beware the next time".

Very good”

here provides breakfast, and they changed bedsheet everyday. But the bathroom is too small, one cant even turn around there; the underground baggage room sticks a bit; there's only one socket in a 4-bed room and no kitchen here. The staff is very kind though. It is quite near to the metro station and a market nearby.
