New Hotel with Excellent Staff”

Our large family has stayed at many of the hotels on Mactan and several in Cebu. We have family gatherings of 20-30 people for holidays and vacations a few times per year. We booked this hotel at the last minute, and the price was very reasonable. The hotel is a new development, which you can definitely sense while you are there. The staff here was trained very well and made us feel very comfortable, without being invasive. The pool area is huge with several individual pools with different depths. The breakfast buffet only caters to Korean travelers, but you can order off the menu -- a perfectly cooked 3 egg omelet with fresh fruit and an oven-fresh ube muffin.

Relaxing Getaway”

Hotel Arterra is new and very clean. Location is remote and ideal for peace/relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, it can be a challenge for those without their own vehicle since location is quite far. The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. Loved the gym and our room facing the calming and soothing view of the sea. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Love the hotel as a staycation but...”

PLUS (+): 1. The location is lovely! Located at tip of mactan. The seaview offers a 180 view of the sea while the city view offers two seaside views parted by mactan island. 2. The standard room is more than what I expected! You have your own tub and the aircon is silent. (it's rare to have a tub for the price they have). It's clean too! 3. The staff is accommodating when you're already in the hotel(more on that later) MINUS(-) 1. Location is far from the airport (30 mins via cab, around 300php worth of cab fare, You can also opt to use the multicab) 2. Food choices are slim. No grabfood here but you can order via foodpanda (I think only 3 restaurants accommodate the location). The hotel food is geared towards the foreigners. Really expensive but the food is so-so 4. The facilities are sublime. The pool is small. There's not much to go around. The hotel is perfect for staycation. However, if you want to do more activities and experience more food, don't go to this place.

Leisure Trip”

Fantastic location, right at the end of Mactan Island with the vast expanse of the Ocean right in front of you. Nice pool besides the ocean with a mini bar in it. Lot of activities for the Kids also. Food is good, but very less options for Vegans.

Great view of the ocean”

Lovely location on the tip of mactan island. Stunning view of the ocean. We booked the 2bedroom suite and it was really lovely, spacious and clean. Since the hotel is at the tip of the island, it was far from everything. No restaurant or convenience store nearby..no public transport..its best to bring own car in the hotel.

Short but Sweet”

Booked 3 rooms for the whole family. The kids enjoyed the pool! It was a great weekend with Arterra!

Exceptional”

The resort is very far from the airport and town it took about 1 hour taxi ride that’s without traffic to get to the hotel. It’s close to the ocean, had a very clean room and facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. Great place to relax and get away from the noise. I enjoyed my stay here.

Great option for staycation”

All in all it was a great stay for us. The rooms are clean and new. The toilet has a rainshower shower, bidet spray and a tub. Beds were comfy and the balcony had an amazing view of the ocean. Food is expensive though so we didn't try it. If you have a car this shouldn't be a problem coz you can drive Mactan Newtown to get something to eat. With that said, if you dont have a car and you'll stay here it will be a challenge coz it is quite far. Not a big fan of the pool coz the floor is to slippery but other than that it's fine.

I loved my stay. I booked with Seaview, and it was just priceless waking up to an ocean view. The room was spacious and clean. I am a hotelier and I can say that it met the usual standard for someone who is looking for great accommodation. The Buffet Breakfast was okay, not the best but I know they can improve. the room was clean, but I guess some areas they have to always keep an eye such as the lobby bins. It is sad that guests are a bit inconsiderate overflowing the bins.. tsktsk! The staff were friendly and accommodating. I arrived earlier than the normal check in time, but kudos, for I didnt have to follow up. My Ala carte foods were delicious and I think for such property, the price was reasonable. I was there doing my Online Business thing, and I paid for the view and location which is away from the bustling city.. and I got that.. It is quite far from the civilization I would say, but it is what I wanted, and it was a good stay for me... Definitely recommending the place.

Looks can be deceptive ”

Hotel is nicely located, surrounded almost 360 degree by sea, but being rocky beach you cant get down to feel of the beach. Hotel has ample of play area around the Hotel building (within Arterra complex) but nothing beyond Hotel building is maintained. They can easily create good garden area/play area. things for recreation but you have hardly done apart from Swimming Pool. Rooms appear very clean but being newly constructed lot of foul smell in the rooms. This forced me to change the room every day. Staff was really nice, responsive, quick and helpful, changed the Room three times for me. Choice of Lunch and dinner were very less, but they were willing to cook close to what I wanted. Dollar to peso conversion was no where close to market price. A gap of almost 12-15%.

excellent i consider it a 5 star hotel”

I have lived in the Philippines for over 10 years, and have stayed at over 100 hotels, cheap, medium and expensive. This bt far is the best hotel i have stayed at in the Philippines. Yes its not near anything, at least 30 minutes from a great beach, BUT, the place itself is 5 stars

Above average”

It has a nice view tho especially when you’re on the higher floor and feel the ocean breeze. But the beach is not accessible for swimming, the pool was dirty when we were there. The location is quite far from restaurants so the lounge at the ground floor is your only option but the meals are pricey and there is not much variety to choose from like if you want to try their local food/delicacies, the prices are almost the same price when you dine at 4-5 star hotels in mactan. They have shop/convenience store but closes at 6 pm. We plan to have breakfast but the spread of their buffet is not worth 600 pesos. They dont even have sunny side up egg. Much better if you’d book for the residence where you can enjoy your meal.

Only if you have available transportation during the stay. It is literally at the north end of Mactan. But for quite vacation and relaxation, the place is ideal. The view around the place is beautiful. Sunrise and Sunset will be had.

Service and cleanliness were really at par. The only cons is it was stated here in Agoda that pets are allowed, but when I call the reception before booking the rooms, they said they don't allow pets inside. Good thing I called first, because we're really about to brings our dogs.

wondeful staff”

Too many to name and too many to learn names but Beatrice was essentially seemingly our hostess. She booked everything for us including my haircut. Restaurant food was very nice (24 hour). Pools were wonderful. View was 300 degrees of ocean. Shuttle to the beach. I plan to return. Some things worth noting: I was surprised/disappointed there was no laundry service for guests. Westerns need more than 1/2 a roll of toilet paper. Wi Fi was spotty.

kind of hotel you can relax. its far from the city with crowded people. you can swim at there pool and even in the sea.. so relaxing place...

A warmth hotel”

The hotel rooms are very clean and nice. Though it lacks amenities the assistance provided by the staff are exceptional.

DRESS UP VENUE”

Our stay here was so far so good. My bad that I wasn't able to inform them in advance that I booked two rooms for wedding dress up venue that's why at first they did not allow us to shoot outside our rooms, but when my coordinator asked them to atleast allow us for an hour then they were so kind enough to grant our request just not to ruin the flow of my wedding. Of course, with fee already.

VERY OVERPRICED, STAY AWAYST”

I spent 1 night there. Beautiful new place but WAY WAY OVERPRICED. Very poor value. Food quality poor, food service poor. I asked manager to contact, but did not so i found an Assistant. Asked for high floor get 4th of 20, Ask for early check-in, I must pay extra even though many vacant rooms. Lots of workers standing around ignoring you. No server, poor menu, VERY BAD FOOD, No other place for food nearby. No beach, only rocks. Good view and pool but you cannot eat them. I paid 8000 pezos for very little. Only Koreans go there and not many of them. STAY AWAY until price is about 3000. May not be worth that. There are many other places nicer for better value.
