Comfortable, Clean, Value for Money”

The hotel is new, the room is clean and large, the bathroom is standard size. This the only hotel I book through Agoda.com that respond to my special request. This a very good service. I will recommend this hotel to friends whenever they look for a clean comfortable and value for money hotel in Butterworth Penang. However if you are not familiar in Butterworth, finding this hotel is a bit difficult as there is not enough signboard leading to the hotel.

Good place and location”

Just beside the hotel there are many restaurants with variety, Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Western. There are two convinience shops (one Japanese, one Korean) around too. Car parks within the place and a petrol station in front of the hotel makes those who drives easy. Location is good because it is near to Butterworth city. Staff service is good and they have 24-hour taxi service. The room is standard quality, quite clean and tidy, enough for a few nights rest. Good recommendation by my friend.

aroma hotel butterworth is just situated in the heart of butterworth and jsut a 10mins drive from butterworth ferry port. in additional, the hotel staffs are all very friendly and helpful prompted to guest requests. for those beer lovers, this is the hotel you are looking for as there is overtime and the library just below to the hotel street! the room is spacious and modern-designed for me. however, it will be a sleepless night if you are staying on the low level room as the musics from the pubs are noisy at the night time.

New Hotel In Butterworth, Penang”

Aroma Hotel is a brand new hotel in Butterworth. All facilities & amenities in the hotel are new. The best part of the hotel is that there are pub & club just next to hotel. Those enjoy a drink or two after work would enjoy the convenience. The con side of this is that it can be quite noisy during weekends. In overall, the hotel is value for money.

Great location but music from the bar was loud”

Great location, New facility Wifi is room does not work, The music in the bar was very loud. Only 1 socket for charging needs. No fridge, no shower curtains. The room lacked the final touch as a hotel. I stayed there thrice due to the great location. Very central and have lots of eating places. Note: this is in BUTTERWORTH Penang, and Not on the main Penang island near George Town. You need to cross the bridge (sea) to get to Penang island where most places of interest are located. So take note.

Aroma Hotel ”

Checking in was done smoothly without any fuss or delay although we were there early at 2 pm. Rooms are clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable and clean. Air conditioning good. Bathrooms rooms are clean except that the feet get wet as the showering section is not separated. We requested for an iron which came immediately. We called to inform that the thermostat of the iron was not functioning and it was getting overheated. Again room service was fast in solving problems. No breakfast though. But there are many shops nearby including mamak or Indian Muslim food. Starbucks and pubs for those interested are also found here.Ten minutes drive to Ananda Bhavan in Butterworth. The Indian cuisine here is worth the drive. The hotel has lots of parking - indoor as well as outdoor. It is a 3-star hotel. Checking out too was fast. No delays.

Nice new hotel with big rooms.”

I have a business meeting in Alor Setar and Lunas and then have to travel back through Penang airport. The hotel chosen is in Butterworth which is about 30 minstrel from Lunas but slightly further away from Alor Star. The location is convenience although there isn't many shops available near the hotel at the moment. There is a club, Library and The House where if needed you can meet up with your client for a drink at night. Overall, the room is big, comfortable and clean. Amenities are okay. We however haven't got the chance to try the hotel food.

aroma hotel is very new hotel in mainland penang state. the hotel is situated next to entertainment and food outlets. however, the outlets are still in the process of renovation. the room is big and clean. the staffs are friendly. there some cons, the water outlet in the washroom are not flowing smoothly. causes flooding intermittently during shower. other than that i am satisfied with this new hotel.

the hotel is situated within a new business district in butterworth. entertainment outlets, restaurants & shopping malls are within its approximity. as the hotel is new all facilities & amenities are in good shape. the service of the staffs are good as well. very helpful hotel staffs. the hotel is not fully open and according to the staffs it will open fully by end of the year.

The hotel is brand new & located in a new business district in Butterworth. The hotel is situated very near entertainment outlet or those outlets are all just beside the hotel to be exact. Library & Overtime to name a few. The cons side is that it can be quite noisy from 8-12 midnight. The tip is to get a higher floor room & at opposite side from the outlets. The hotel is good & friendly staff but the managing system needs improvement. They dont allow 2 room keys, request for lots of information upon check in eventhough it is not the first time one stays there.

Hotel to Pick For A Comfortable Short Stay”

Greeted by a friendly Malay staff who helped and answered my questions patiently. He also provided me the contact number for a taxi company since it's really hard to get a taxi in Butterworth without being over-charged unreasonably. During online booking via Agoda, i've requested for a late check-in as well as for a room at high level, away from the noisy pubs which i've read from the reviews. They provided me a room at the 7th floor, which was quiet enough for a good sleep and the room was spacious. It was also moderately clean and a good flow of shower water pressure. Good to mention there's a ceiling fan as well, for those who preferred it than the aircond. The down sides were there was something wrong with the heater, it got colder and colder as i showered. Didn't bother much as i've only showered once there. Was kind of hungry at around 1am but was lazy to go out, but unfortunately there was no food service available. Well it's rated as a 1-Star hotel but with that price, it's worth the value i would say.

aroma hotel is a new hotel in mainland penang. the location although a bit off the main road but are surrounded by soon to complete restaurants (bungalow style). would be very interesting when all the shops are open for business later. night life is great staying in this hotel as there are 2 lounge situated just outside of hotel's main entrance.

Great hotel despite one-star rank”

I found this hotel by searching it on Agoda and ranking it based on price, and found this to be amongst the cheapest but with the best review scores. Decided to take it, and was delighted by the experience - new hotel with spacious and nicely decorated room, great location i.e. within 5-min drive to great food, and there are even 2 bars just downstairs. However the last point is a double-edge sword. Having two bars right downstairs - one which offers live band performance - greatly interferes with our sleep at night as the bars closed only way past midnight. The music is simply too loud and the sound proof level of the hotel isn't too great.

New and clean hotel”

The hotel is located around Permatang Pauh, Butterworth. There is a pub just in front of the hotel. Therefore, you will felt slight noisy if your room is located near to ground floor. The room is clean and nice to stay. However, because of newly built, the shops surrounding the hotel still vacant and roads not properly done.

We were travelling to Hatyai and decided to stay at aroma hotel because we were quite tired and needed to rest for the night. The hotel was not too far from the highway and we managed to properly rest before continuing with our journey. Hotel was clean and everything was clean and looked brand new. Hotel staff was very polite and helpful
