Worth a stay!”

Hotel is located at the corner of Tan-da road, so it is easy to find. A little far from downtown but I love this hotel. Its decoration and architecture remind me of the period of French colonialism in Vietnam and made me feel nostalgic about the good old days. Personally, I don't like the very modern-style hotel, so Arc-en-ciel is my choice. Price is reasonable and affordable. Room service is great. Although staff for room service can speak limited English, you just tell him the room number through phone then someone will pick up order in your room. Wake-up call is on time. Unbelievable, what is surprising is breakfast here is a lot better than other 3-star hotels i HCMC!!!! Quality of food is great and edible for foreigners while Chiefs are also nice and friendly. All receptionists are willing to help you though rarely see them smile (i don't take this serious)

Very Cozy Hotel”

Me and my girlfriend was so pleased with our 2 night stay at the hotel. Staff at the front desk were very helpful and very nice. They were so patient to even advise us and guide us on how to go to places. Hotel room was quite small but more than enough for someone who needs a very comfortable and relaxing place to rest. Toilet and bath was very clean...this I am really amazed, no sign of dust at all! I will definitely stay in this hotel again on my next visit to Ho Chi Minh...

Well managed three-star hotel in district 5”

i spent several nights at this hotel during the 2012 chinese new year festival and was generally happy with the stay. i would consider this hotel again in the future if the area (district 5) happens to be my destination. here is some detail. - it looked like management was committed to doing a good job. staff members were well trained. everyone i encountered was helpful and polite. on the new year eve, all guests were invited to a midnight free buffet party on the hotel's top floor to celebrate the new year. - for the chinese speaking guests, some front desk staff speaks mandarin and cantonese. - the hotel restaurants serve good (but not great) food with reasonable prices. there are also quite a few decent restaurants around the hotel and plenty of street food available nearby. - the room is clean, but spartan. the bathroom is functioning but lack of modern amenities (like stone counter top, etc.), and the decor is unattractive. - in-room wiki connects well. - breakfast is good! there are plenty of food choices (both western and asian styles) and most of them are tasty. tip: some times the hotel also hosts organized group tours. when you see group tours present, make sure you come down to eat your breakfast early (before the tours eat), or else you will be facing mostly empty trays.

hotel staff are friendly and helpful. english good enough communicationwise. attend to issues we raised promtly and satisfactorily. located in the busy china town area,shopping, dining and sight seeing within ho chi minh city is convenient. we will stay in this hotel next time we visit ho chi minh city.

Hotel with good location in district 5(Chinatown)”

On the day when I check-in on Arc En Ciel hotel,I was quite impress that the lobby was quite big n bright. The two male front desk staffs are very willing to help us as we arrived at the hotel quite early around 10.30am.They told us to have our meal while the room was being clean up. I was impressed by the male staffs as they advised us the ways to keep our valuable belonging when we go out shopping in Ho chi Minh city.However the hotel room need to refurnish as it look old.my superior room was not quite spacious and the window curtains was dusty.I will check-in this hotel if I go travel in Ho Chii Minh again as the male staffs are always ready to help and serve you whenever you ask them.

Satisfied with the hotel staff service. Good food with a variety of choices for breakfast. Good location for sightseeing around China town of the 5th district in Ho Chi Minh City. Will stay there for the next trip to HCMC.

Clean hotel”

We stayed in this hotel to be near friends living in HCMC. Not an ideal hotel for tourist but it was very clean, it was in District 5 and tourist need to stay in District 1. There was nothing wrong with this hotel other than its location.

Hotel in heart of the city, real daily life ”

The heart of the city, Saigon, is not in the expensive, touristic area of District one, but in the neighbourhood of this hotel, so called Cholon.Good restaurants, café's, shops are around, with still the typical way of Saigonese family life in the streets. The hotel is newly renovated, very friendly services by the hotel staff. Just the breakfast place, opposite the hotel,isn't so nice, too crowded. The hotel itself is surely a place to return.

Clean rooms”

i appreciate the clealiness and spacious room after staying in a cramp hotel the previous nightt. was impressed by the staff who were able to speak mandarin. however, they are not as willing to help compared to other hotels. overall experience is good. will recommend to ppl who are interested to explore and stay around district 5.

Lovely hotel room with good room facilities”

the hotel was clean and a pleasure to stay at. the superior room was spacious to us considering the price. we enjoyed the breakfast buffet a lot. its really value for money and we would certainly book a stay at the hotel again if we come back to visit!

Clean and tidy hotel with great service”

A nice 3 star hotel, furniture was a little dated but very adequate, good central location in district three, we still had a 10min taxi into Saigon central,i would stay hear again as the hotel it's self was great we found alternatve hotel for the same price and standard.

Worthwhile for the small price”

paying a small price for staying in this hotel is really worth the while as it is not only in the center of the city but also room with adequate space to move since the building was built decades ago, but not antique after all. the hotel staff are quite friendly and know a bit of the english language especially on the daily conversation kind of things. the surrounding of the facility has ample restaurants serving seafood and others, quite convenient actually. there is one thing that does not seem to please us during out stay and that is the wifi connection inside the room which lost its signal most of the time. aside from that, everything seemed fine including the breakfast inside the hotel although they did not change the menu for the three mornings we ate there.

hotel breakfast is average. rooms are clean and well maintained. rooms are spacious. the massage service on the first floor is good and cheap. local eating places are only minutes away. noodle shop on tan da st is good and tasty. staff in the restaurant on the 9th floor and extremely friendly and ice coffee is good.

Chinatown strategic location”

Good, Friendly and attentive staff from the receptionist to doorman etc.Only thing is the ongoing heavy renovation at the back portion of hotel. It gave the impression that the hotel is not ready to operate. But other than that, room is clean and wifi is good. If you are looking to experience the local lifestyle in Chinatown, the place is just a few minutes walking distance. Plenty of historical temples and not forgetting morning market. Pleasant experience I must say.

everything was smooth. the friendly staff very good assist us in everything we need. make sure to take the hotel travelcard before you take a cab. english is 2nd language here and not many speaks english.

Not so great location but nice small hotel”

the hotel is nice and situated in corner lot along tan da street. staff were very helpful and most of them can converse well in english. very near to local shops and food stalls. there is a shopping plaza opposite this hotel where you can find branded items similar to shopping complexes. there ia one wholesale market called bin thay market where you can buy things in retail or in bulk within walking distance. you have to have a proper street map when you walked around this city because you might get confused with the name of the streets that all seem very similar for those who don't understand vietnamese.
