Clean hotel in a good location for Mandaue, Cebu”

this is not the first time staying in this hotel. we stayed here before when another hotel we had booked was 'uninhabitable'. we are glad we made the decision to come back to andy hotel. the staff is polite, attentive and courteous. the rooms are spacious and clean. the shower is wonderful - high water pressure, good shower head and excellent heater. the toilet is an elongated bowl - which is nice. the beds are comfortable, the linens clean - the aircon works well (some places use aircons that are too small for the rooms - not a problem at andy's). - there is a 24 hour convenience store, pharmacy, kfc, jollibee and pizza place all within a block (and a carendaria - local cooked food sellers). there are two money changers, lbc, western union, and cebuana luhillier's also very close. the food in 'mang cape' (andy hotel cafe) is flavorful and cooked well. the budget dinner meals are a little small in portions for a westerner, but my wife was happy. only two problems which the staff attentively dealt with: once housekeeping forgot to leave clean towels and then took a little time to get it to us. one word to the front desk and that was solved. the local laundry (and the place andy sends one's laundry out to) messed up our laundry order. they did not return all of our clothes and some they did return had been shoved onto dirty shelves so needed to be re-laundered. my wife (lovely woman that she is) took the time to go into the laundry, search for and find our missing items (good thing we made an itemized list hint). spoke to andy staff about the problem and they acted. had an apology from the laundry and some free service. mr. tan, the owner, runs a good establishment. he is frequently walking onsite and we've seen him walking the floors at night inspecting. andy's is a block of a major thoroughfare. it is an easy taxi ride to pacific mall, j center, park mall, sm mall - a little further to gaisano country mall and ayala center. we like the loca

Adequate ”

We normally stay elsewhere but wanting to stay closer to friends and relatives we chose Andy Hotel. Being confronted with signs regarding stain 'fines' etc as soon as we arrived was confronting. As a retired hotel manager, I would charge a little extra overall (unbeknownst to the customer) for the benefit of the customer's initial perception on arrival and not have 'fines' as any serious hotel management would. I was afraid to fart at the risk of being fined. Thankfully the stain fine didn't apply to toilet paper. A smile from the front office member is important. We did not receive that. We felt alienated. The following morning we were greeted at reception by a more mature woman with a more professional attitude. That changed our first perception. The Wi-Fi is crap. The only way to describe it. We could not upload any photos to Facebook. I needed to send an urgent email so after complaining I was given the password to the 'real' Wi-Fi (remember that) and things improved. The staff are a happy lot. They enjoy their work. I am not sure of the time for their early start but I heard them laughing and chatting loudly while I wanted to sleep. The sound of beds being dragged across the floor for the remake was bad on the ears. I didn't complain because they are hard working girls receive very little pay and need the job. maybe this comment may service as a training lesson for management to pass on. the Jeepney passes by the front entrance and taxis are readily available. The major problem with many hotels now is the insert card for power in the room. I understand that but so inconvenient when returning to the flat batteries of tablets and phones you thing will be charged while you're out. All hotels need to have a FREE secure charging at the front desk service. Food for thought IF management read reviews to improve their services.

outstanding stay”

Our first visit to Andy Hotel which was suggested by sister In law, found hotel to be exceptional in every way. Could not believe hotel value for the price. Room was clean, air con worked great, staff was one of most friendliest I have encounter in my 24 years of visiting Cebu City and the food was exceptionally and such a value.... Already have reservations for two more visits in 2014 to once again enjoy this first class hotel.

New Hotel in Mandaue - Hot water & clean bed”

I stayed at the Andy Hotel because it was the closest hotel to where I needed to be in Mandaue City (a short Jeepney/taxi ride away from North Reclamation Area). The hotel is fairly new (opened in March 2012) and they have hot water with high rainfall type shower head (convenient for us tall people) which made it so one can stand upright without having to bend over to take a shower. Friendly staff and parking is available. They have free water from dispenser in the hallway, but the charge to have a refrigerator in the room was too high and so I declined that option. Bedding was firm, foam style mattress, so no complaints there from me. Decent wall mounted LCD TV with plenty of channels to choose from, also a dedicated channel to view the hotel lobby was an added "security" bonus. Fast food options are just steps outside the front door, although the area can be kind of unnerving in the late night hours with many beggars and street people. During the daytime hours though it is much more acceptable and not so much of a problem. Security is fairly tight at the hotel with a security guard and doorman always there to welcome you and they lock the front door at night (with a security guard present to let you in). There are other hotels you can stay in Cebu City which are less money, but if you need to stay in Mandaue as I did, it may be worth the extra money to be close to the city center.

New hotel with good service”

the andy hotel is new and the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. the layout of the room was not the most practical, but more than adequate. the staff was very friendly and helpful with every request i made. the location is pretty good close to malls and shops and right off the main road in mandaue city, but still resonably quiet. i will stay here again when in mandaue city.

Accomodating staff and affordable rate”

We’re regularly visiting cebu for medical reasons and Andy Hotel always comes up first in Agoda. It’s really affordable and well recommended by other guests. They did not disappoint. Seeing that one of us had a medical condition, they let us in early around 9AM-10AM instead of the regular 2PM. Location is great, their facilities catered to all our needs. We’ve booked again with them, and will surely come back for next visits.

Big rooms at budget price”

We had a wonderful stay at Andy Hotel. I highly recommend it for those looking to save money but still values comfort. However, wifi signal was weak in our room (perhaps it was stronger in other rooms). I could only access the internet if I stayed by the door. But it wasn't that much of a big deal for me. I just stayed at the lobby for a couple of hours to enjoy the excellent wifi connection.

Friendly service”

Very clean. Great housekeeping staff, friendly reception staff, nice in-house food. 5 minute walk to J Mall. 5 - 10 minute taxi ride to SM mall and Northern Bus Terminal. 15 minute taxi ride to airport. Not much to do around hotel - have to take a taxi to most places (but that's the same with most hotels in Cebu and Mandaue). Good safety deposit box system at reception. This was an extra 5th night I booked, so I was happy to stay there the extra night in order to get to the airport quickly the next day. Wifi signal was OK at room, but their whole internet was erratic for a few days - tech should have fixed it earlier.

I had one of the corner rooms which are a little bigger than other rooms. Very clean. Great housekeeping staff, friendly reception staff, nice in-house food. 5 minute walk to J Mall. 5 - 10 minute taxi ride to SM mall and Northern Bus Terminal. 15 minute taxi ride to airport. Not much to do around hotel - have to take a taxi to most places (but that's the same with most hotels in Cebu and Mandaue). I delayed my arrival by two days and they very kindly moved my booking forward without penalty - great service!

There is a drugstore/convenience store nearby. Hotel is situated near malls like parkmall and j centre mall. Rooms are clean and very very spacious (executive suite). The bathroom has water heater for the shower but its too hot. Too noisy outside even if it is midnight, you can hear the sound of cars passing by but it is bearable. We were allowed to check in at 7am. Staffs are accomodating. Rooms are very cheap in price. We will definitely go back again at Andy Hotel.

Adequate, but look for other choices”

Staff was professional, but abrupt. No concept of customer service--I asked for a one hour extension on check out time and was told it was 1/2 the daily rate. I've never had this happen in any hotel in the US of Europe, nor in Cambodia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea or other hotels in the Philippines. Andy Hotel needs to review their policy and educate their front desk staff. I doubt I will choose the Andy again---too many other choices in the same price range.

New hotel in Mandaue City, greater Cebu, Phils”

we have been to over 20 different hotels in the cebu area and this is in the top 5 for affordability, location, and service. first time at andy hotel, but we will return. note: we have been to marco polo, parklane, marriott, and crown regency, as well as midtown, castle peak, and many good pension houses. rate it at 8.2

Nice new hotel and very friendly service.”

this is the nicest hotel that i've stayed in within the philippines - of about 10 different places. it's almost brand new, so everything is in good working order. my room was very large and clean, with a desk, closet, and queen sized bed. the bathroom was very nice as well - though a bit short on counter space. the staff straightened up my room daily (never had that in another philippines hotel). but because this is such a new place, my taxi driver had no idea where it was, so bring along a map - it's on the fortuna street "extension" - i guess there is more than on fortuna street in mandaue. but it felt like a safe part of town, there's a jolibee across the road and a few blocks away is a nice mall.

Nice ambiance and friendly staff”

Yes the place is awesome, and the location is very accessible to major shopping malls in Mandaue and Cebu. The place is clean and the food is okay although not everything on their menu is available. Overall the place is nice for its rate and I would sure love to recommend it with friends, except dont bring cars if you dont want hassle parking as parking space is limited especially when the place is fully booked. The other younger guard is not that respectful and always makes excuses instead of helping.

Modern, business-oriented hotel”

Andy hotel seems to be a very new hotel, with a modern "minimalistic" design. The room's a good size with all the facilities you'd expect and very well presented. The location was a bit "remote" from some things eg: Ayala Mall but it's close to the airport. Minor problem is the taxi drivers don't seem to know it yet, so best to come with the hotel marked on a map if possible.

Lovely Hotel and Service with a Smile”

Quite a very satisfactory stay for us. The room was very spacious and meticulously clean. The bed was very comfortable and met our expectations of having a good night's rest. The hot shower also works. I will consider anew Andy Hotel in my next trip to Cebu City.

Value Hotel”

This hotel is very conveniently located in Mandaue, with lots of parking and very clean, spacious and well-appointed rooms. Very close to J Mall and all other businesses in Mandaue. There’s a convenience store next door for your needs. Great value for business stays and family trips.

Affordable 1-2 nights stay”

For a 1-2 nights stay, Andy Hotel is good for me because it is near J. Centre Mall. Rooms are clean and staff are polite. If you are within a budget, this is the perfect hotel for you if you are in Mandaue area.

Andy Hotel lived up to its reviews on the web. We arrived as a huge group and expected very cramp accommodations given the room rates. However, we were pleasantly surprised to see a spacious family room with decent furnishings. The staff were all very helpful and friendly both during check-in and check-out. Highly recommended for families or big groups traveling on a budget.
