Cozy resort and great food”
we were looking for a short and inexpensive holiday just to relax after several hectic days at work. the first thing that attracted us to anahaw island view resort are the rates, which were very cheap. we were very pleased with our rooms, because despite the inexpensive rate, it was clean, comfortable, and adequate in amenities. we had a great dinner and some refreshing drinks at their restaurant which is located along the beach. the food was delicious and, like their accommodations, amazing value for money. also, the location of the resort provides a spectacular view of the beach, especially in the morning. i am looking forward to going back there again and trying their deluxe rooms, which are also very affordable considering all the added amenities (i.e. bath tub).

Conveniently located near Calapan port”
If you want a family friendly place in Calapan that is right on a black sand beach, this is it! Book w agoda.com and it’s around $20 a night for a poolside room. No bugs, great food, cheap alcohol and close to the water parks and shopping mall. It’s half the price of other resorts but has a cool karaoke and live band going at night and an overall cool place.

Affordable gorgeous resort”
We spent our noche buena in this resort. The staff were very accommodating, rooms are the best - presentation, cleanliness and comfortable. The food was ok also. You can even enjoy the beach and pool in this resort. We always stay here every time we visit Calapan Mindoro.

OK Hotel”
The resort is run by a family and has a very local feel. The rooms are not expensive and a bit run down. The pool was not usable during most of my week long stay because it was not clean. The beach is used mostly by area families and is nice but not the best. The sand is dark or grey. The resort makes little attempt to clean the beach fronting the hotel. The music at night is great, however the guitarist tried to get my fiancee's phone number when I was in the men's room one night. The area offers little to do during the day. It is nice to just relax if you like simple Filipino food and accommodations.

We stayed for 1 night to attend my friend's wedding in Naujan. Tutulugan lang yung hanap namin at ito ang pinakamura sa agoda. For its cheap price, di ako nagexpect masyado. pero laking tuwa ko na lng pagdating namin dun, ang ganda ng place, mababait ang staff, malaki yung room, good food not overpriced, may session pa sa gabi kaya hindi boring ang pagstay, okay ang facilities. worth it dito. pag nagmindoro kmi ulit, dito pa rin kme babalik siguro.

Average beach resort”
Overall, our stay at Anahaw was pretty comfortable and pleasurable although our rest during the last night was disrupted by very loud music from the birthday party right outside our room for almost 5 hours. They ended a little before midnight and that was ehn we finally got to sleep. Their pools could also benefit from more frequent cleaning.

The beach front (shoreline) is very dirty. There must be regular cleaning and collection of the solid wastes washed into the shorelines. Provision of waste bins for waste segregation will be useful ”
Overall, the room is clean including the beds, pillows and the linen, although the other 2 sheets are too small. The pricing of food and beverages at the bar/ restaurants are reasonable. People are courteous, although a bit slow in serving the foods.

We booked a deluxe room with balcony and bath. The bath had rust in it and no plug with which to have a bath. The shower whilst warm was very weak. The safe didn't work and our balcony overlooked the still closed swimming pool and any view of the Ocean was blocked by a filthy swimming pool roof. On the first day there we ordered talapia which caused my partner an upset stomach and myself cronic gasteointteritus which lasted over 2 weeks and needed a visit to hospital to cure. Whilst the water in the sea is clean it has rubbish floating around in it which isn't pleasant. There is nothing special about the town of Calapan and the beaches around the hotel have brown sand. We ate most of our meals during our stay of 5 nights at the hotel as there simply isn't anywhere else to eat nearby.

(Pros) The food was delicious yet affordable; Room at pool side was spacious (fits my very active kid); their generator was up and running, when needed (Con) Swimming pool was filled with fallen debris due to Typhoon Tisoy thus not utilized for swimming.

Nice place for a break”
We decided to stay here for a break from the intense heat in the city. Very comfortable stay in a poolside room. The pool was one of the cleanest pools I have ever stayed in. Right on the beach, it is black sand beach, but reasonably clean. The cooling sea breeze was very welcome. The poolside area is lovely all undercover.

It was planned to stay for 13 nights at this resort but it was one the worsest Resort I have ever been.The shower was disgusting because the first room i have was only cold salty water. After moving to a second room, we got also cold salty water and the hot water had a very awful taste that we decide to leave this resort. Also the pool could not be used because was under construction. This was not told before !!! The rooms also don't look fine, they need to be rebuilt. Only positive i can say that the staff was friendly and the food was ok. But please never go there. For me it was a really bad experience !!!

The hotel was clean but a bit isolated and the entrance hidden. They had a small band in the evening which was a nice touch though a bit loud.
