"Worst value for money i ever spent. Shonalanga's website is very misleading. False advertising. 1. Rooms were not ready on arrival 2. No air-conditioner 3. Ceiling fans were not the safest 4. The rooms had a very dusty smell 5. Bed Linen needs replacing. They looked brownish/ yellowish/dirty 6. Pots & Pans were rusty 7. Cutlery was rusty & broken 8. TV reception was poor 9. Taps were not secured in the bathroom. They were loose. Water sprays out of the bathroom taps like a shower 10. Shower floor needs a good clean 11. One unit had a shower curtain which is unhygienic 12. Place is in need of urgent maintenance 13. The pool was not clean and could not be used in the evenings 14. Distribution board is a shocker. Fire waiting to happen 15. Property does not have a driveway gate. Walk in/out. Drive in/out. No security on site especially without a locked 16. entrance gate. 17. Evening receptionist/helper is in desperate need of customer training. She was arrogant and rude. Never smiles/gre"

"Simply stunning! the owners and staff are so helpful and thoughtful, you can borrow beach towels/snorkels and a cooler box to take a trip to Cape Vidal for free, and they always have great advice to make your stay in St Lucia amazing!"

"The lady at the reception didn't know anything about DCC (Dynamic currency conversion) and ended up with charging me by card issuer's currency (instead of me paying in ZAR) without informing me ahead of time. This caused me pay extra and high conversion/processing fee. The lady insisted she knows everything and it is impossible to for me to pay in ZAR because of the foreign credit card (quote "this is my machine, I know it very well!")- which pissed me off in a second. I showed her how to operate the machine, but the future guests just keep in mind to "kindly remind the reception" to be careful about it next time."

"Don't look anywhere else, stay here, it's one of the best for the money I've ever stayed in all my 8years continuous travel around the world. Top tip, do as many safari tours as you can. On one of ours to Hluhluwe we saw around 100 elephants, 10 rhino plus all the other wonderful wildlife one would expect of South Africa, even saw a puff adder. St Lucia is a gem. Excellent alround."

"St Lucia is a fantastic little coastal resort with a lot to offer. Ndola lodge is one of many band bs in the area , but what stands out is the view from the honesty bar, yes that's right , honesty. You look out over the dunes of St Lucia which are only rivalled by Fraser Island in Australia. Breakfast caters for all tastes with the lodge staff awaiting your every whim. The lodge staff in general have a lot of knowledge which helped us find our way around, they are also able to book many of the trips which are available around the resort. There are guards available on the premises to help keep you safe from the hippos which frequent the rear garden. The rooms are extremely clean and provide the usual amenities , coffee , tea , etc. Towels are provided and there's a pool on the top deck next to the bar/ dining area in addition to the pool in the adjacent B and B which is available for all guests to use. There is also plenty of parking for all guests with a key fob provided."
