      Serenity at its best”

Located far from the busy city life, you can really enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. for a more reasonable price, you get the same ambiance as the more expensive accommodations inside Camp John Hay.

I badly needed a break that's why I went to Baguio and this hotel is just perfect. Located far from the busy city proper, I enjoyed the quiet and peaceful surroundings. It rained during my stay but it was fine because there's a restaurant and a Starbucks shop right beside it where you can just hang out while waiting for the rain to stop. There was no a/c unit inside the room but I don't think it's needed anyway. I just had to open the windows to let the cold air in. The best thing about it is it's inside Camp John Hay but it's not as expensive as the other hotels in the area. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Baguio.

The best hotel I've stayed in by far.”

Excellent location. The hotel itself is a national treasure. Best for those who truly want to feel time away from the stressful metropolis.

It was an excellent stay. The rooms were comfortable enough and regularly cleaned. Hot water is a bit of a problem when the hotel is fully occupied. Wi-fi is weak as well. But you wouldn't mind the cons when you step out of the room and see the wonderful view of Camp John Hay/Baguio Country Club. It is hidden among the pine trees which makes it all the more enticing. Located nearby are the famous Mile-Hi Club and the Choco-late de Batirol that serves the best choco-late! Would definitely come back!

      No Frills”

Budget hotel inside Camp John Hay

It's okay. I stayed for 2 nights with my husband and 2 babies (4 mos baby and 1yr 7mos toddler). Facilities are old, like the shower head and faucets. Cracks and chippings on the walls. Walls and ceilings in dire need of repainting. Towels are dirty white. Felt kinda icky to use the towels. For my babies I used the towels that I brought. But for a budget traveler, the hotel is okay, especially that it is located inside Camp John Hay. Staff service is excellent. We were attended to our concerns immediately whenever needed. Wifi connection is fast.

      Good Value & Location”

Location (inside Camp John Hay), Tranquil, Inexpensive (during time booked)

Uneventful. Was really just a place to sleep en route to Manila from Pagudpud. They ran out of towels so we had to wait until about 9am (having checked in at about 9pm) to get them. Though Camp John Hay is generally secure, the door at the end of the hallway was open and I was the one who closed it just to be on the safe side. The guy who checked us in was neither friendly nor offensive. He was just a warm body that needed to be behind the counter. The walls are quite close to each other & thin so if you plan to sleep in you'd better hope that you're the only one there as the noise carries. The mattress was firm, the room a bit musty, the carpet was dirty (walked a couple of steps barefoot), good water pressure, hot water never ran out, some of the wall sockets weren't functioning. Overall it was okay for the price we paid. BTW, there's just a Starbucks a few meters away from the hotel.

Having the location inside camp john hay is very convenient. Although the hotel looks old already. We requested for a room with view and was given a room with small window. We reiterated that we requested for a view prior to booking and was granted afterwards. Thanks to the staff. The hotel is also located near a very quaint Starbucks.

      Leaky roof ceiling”

This AIM hotel needs refurbishing and maintenance for a decent stay. We rented two rooms for Group of 4pax. The roof ceiling is leaking but the hotel admin cant do anything and helpless and just apologize for the lack of budget for repair and the availability of good room for transfer. The carpet and beddings are too old too. Hope they have fixed these now. We just enjoyed the fireplace and the view from outside as it is inside Camp John hay and near the crowded Batirol café. Free parking at side street too.

Located in John Hay and near Starbucks

Third time to stay here. Some rooms are OK while some are just terrible. The smell of rotting wet wood isn't great. We have a house in Baguio and use various hotels for guests. Our old house is made of wood but not smelly. AIM has the feel of Teacher's camp quarters on ber months. On summer this would not be a problem though.

      A thumb's up!”

Its in the cleanest part of Baguio City so the location is already a go. Next is its accessibility to the restaurants (you may not need to go out of Camp John Hay). Lastly, the peace and quiet. 😊

It was lovely. It gave us a home away from home. The room (though it looked old) was decently clean. The rest room was very clean and the hot and cold shower didnt leave us frozen. In the morning, you awoke to the clean scent of pine trees which basically surround the lodge. You can run/jog around feeling safe. Our accomodation didnt include meals so I can't say anything on the matter. Its also was reasonable priced. Thank you, AIM.

      Perfectly Spartan”

      Location, Location, Location

If you want and/or need frills, go somewhere else. The room (we had room no.10) had an old yet quiet dignity, were neat and tidied up, had exactly what we needed: bed, hot water in the shower and tap, personal fridge, desk and chair, cable TV, a thermos for hot water (dispensed in a common area near the lobby), water glasses, coffee cups and condiments for coffee. Staff are polite and accommodating. WiFi connectivity was spotty (try to get rooms nearest to the lobby for consistency) but stayed on consistently once I was able to connect, and there was the occasional bug in the room (you're surrounded by greenery, this should NOT be surprising). Bring a can of Lysol (to spray on the linens, beds, and room overall to chase out the mustiness), water-based Baygon (to spray near the windows and on the curtains), and mosquito coils (to chase away the gnats and mosquitoes inherent with greenery). Bring your own extra pillows. If you will not mind bringing with you a few home comforts and expending a bit of elbow grease in making the room the way you want to when you arrive, the location of the place makes it PERFECT for your stay.

ok if you have low expectations”

Beautiful surroundings, close to a few cafes/restaurants with character

The hotel is a disgrace to AIM... unless it is used as an example of how not to maintain and run a hotel. The good news is that the rooms have been renovated compatatively recently, but the structure may not have seen paint since the US forces withdrew. Bathrooms very primitive. Two out of 4 ceiling lights not working, room gloomy, sheets and towels grey, blankets smell bad, walls thin, other guests noisy (esp at 7am on Sunday )... very "Provincial Philippines"

      You get your money's worth”

Location in Camp John Hay, a Starbucks nearby and walking distance to some places to eat

You get your money's worth. For the price we paid, we weren't expecting a lot, and we were right. It's a small place, so good that you don't have an over-populated hotel. But it's really old and not too well-maintained. Reception was friendly and accommodating, but maintenance and housekeeping staff not not quite so. We had a total of 3 rooms among us, and 2 out of 3 had problems. The room we got had a dilapidated-looking bathroom, wherein I had to go to the front desk and ask her to get someone to clean out the bathroom so that it would look presentable (presentable! i didn't even need it to be spectacular, I just can't stand a dirty bathroom!). I settled for presentable. They obligingly changed the broken shower knobs too. The 2nd room had broken shower knobs and they had to change to a different room, which was not as nice as the one we got. Also, the water pipes must be rusty, because ALL the water for the tap and the shower smells of rust! We had to buy mineral water to use for brushing our teeth-- it was that bad. The 3rd room we got had BROWN water coming out of the tap, we had to let the water run for a while before it turned clear. Other than the bathroom problems, it was overall a nice, quiet place to stay.
