Kindness and convenient hotel”

We had staied in this hotel for 3 days. When I enterd the hotel the reception clerk already knew who I am and he was so kind. The room condition was so nice.It's very new and modern style hotel room. Comparing with other hotels in this price, the quility of the room is the best. The breakfast was so nice, you can select food in the menu. The fruit, tea, homemade yogurt are contained. Yes, it's so delicious. The most impressive thing is the kindness of staffs. Eventhough this hotel locates far from Detam street a little bit,(around 10 mins on foot)it doesn't big matter. Causeby this reason, you can sleep without noise.

i had no trouble, but the family i was traveling with was told they needed to pay an additional $5/night because they had booked a room for only one person, rather than two adults (and two kids). presumably the additional charge is for the breakfast, but we all went back and looked through the booking procedures via agoda. there is no place to indicate the number of people, only the number of rooms. however, the hotels can limit the number of guests in the room. probably agoda's fault, not the hotel's, but it was a negative thing in an otherwise lovely stay. the family felt they got their money's worth anyway, but would have preferred to know the full price in advance, rather than being told after arrival and check in.

solid clean hotel downtown in hcmc”

we stayed for 5 nights and were pretty happy with the room, the staff is friendly, could maybe improve their english skills, breakfast is ok, the location is great a few minutes walking distance from the city central area. good hotel for the budget of around night. one thing about booking through agoda online is to notice: they announce the hotel at a rate of night but with additional taxes and fees it ends up about night. i felt tricked by agoda.

Pleasant”

Very pleasant reception on arrival. The room was clean, bright, and properly maintained. Breakfast, included in the price, was excellent, and set us up for the rest of the day. Fairly close to the tourist area, but that meant we had a peaceful sleep. Top value for money, recommend this hotel.

A cheap, useful hotel if you're passing through”

I wasn't looking for a smart, upscale hotel. I work for a charity and I had a couple of meetings in HCMC. So I just wanted a cheap, clean, secure place for one night on my way to Hanoi. This fitted the bill perfectly. The air con worked great, the bathroom provided a free toothbrush and paste (left behind in the aircraft loo!)& they allowed me to extend my stay for a few hours at a very reasonable rate. It might be worth reminding your customers that from the street there's no sign of the word "Sunrise" hotel. It just says A25. A Vietnamese friend took ages to find me. The internet was great but I'm glad I had my laptop, as the monitor provided with the free PC in the room didn't work. All in all, fine as a a stopover but I think a couple of days would be about right!

The quillty of the hotel is outstanding. The room is clean, frendly staffs. But less restaurant around and a bit far from Ben Thanh Market. However is my current first choice to stay in Hochiminh city.

Very nice hotel with very comfortable rooms”

we stayed there for only one night. the rooms are big and clean, wifi didn't work. very nice beds and pillows. the hotel is located in district 1, near all the main things. don't trust the staff when it comes to transportation to the airport. they charge vnd to bring you to the airport. if you go by metered taxi, it will cost you vnd max! breakfast was really nice. overall good value for money.

Very satisfied and comfortable. It is located in a quieter area than mainstream hotels. Close to all attractions. The reception staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are well supplied with provisions and bathroom requirements. I would definitely stay at Sunrise Hotel again.

The hotel was very clean, the room spacious and comfortable and the staff were friendly. They need to speak English more. It is safe and we found it easy to move around the city. Transportation such as taxi was easy to get and the driver know the location of the hotel. The hotel wireless was very fast. We did not take any meals at the Hotel because you can do so outside the hotel.

I stayed one night here and would come back again. Was recommended by a friend and decided to come. The service was really good and rooms were very nice and new. Locationwise really good easy to walk in district 1 or take a taxi. Only negative thing was that shower was missing the curtain so water was everywhere.

clean and cozy hotel”

only smart tourist can find this convenient and cozy place because it is not popular among tourists. it is located in central city so you can go anywhere easily on small taxi fare. room is clean and well furnished but limited wifi service at room. they provide good service and accommodation at the attractable pruce.

Never come back”

This is my terrible shocked for the impoliteness of this hotel staff and the irrespect customers procedure. I paid on Agoda, having confirmation. But when I came to check in, the receptionist refused due to not yet find my credit card info from the confirmation they received from Agoda. After waste half hours of explaination, called back and forth to their manager, they agreed to let me check in. However, the terrible happned when checked out. The staff asked me to pay for the night due to the same reason. They did not care any explaination, only money, and a type of gangster communication. I thought the person in front of me was a gangster without any education than a staff of a hotel. Luckily that my driver sacrified his license to guarantee for me so that I can go to airport on time to leave. Then when I called Agoda Customers service to complaint, I received a call from their manager, said sorry. I told them: they need to prove their effort by telling the bad attitude guy call me and bring the license to my office in VN. However, until now no respond from that A25, no receiving license back. So, plz, take this A25 out of service. They will ruin the name and image of Agoda.

Memorable Stay”

the hotel was newly opened in may 2011. although not right in the central area, it is within walking distance to the war remnants museum and other major attractions in hcmc. it is small (like many hotels in vn i suppose) but clean and neat, and it has the best coffee in hcmc for breakfast. the staff are all very caring and attentive to whatever questions i had...where to find local tours, good seafood, vietnamese restaurants, dessert place....thank you and hope to be back it was a memorable stay.

Little bit far from the center but rest ok”

I have stayed in this hotel 2 nights and I really enjoyed. People really friendly and helpfull. My room was quite big and clean. Hotel little bit far from the center but you can rent a bike or scooter from the reception or just outside of the hotel.

Nice bathroom and decent room, good breakfast”

not the best location, but close enough to pham ngu lao to be walking distance. you get a decent room with a nice clean bathroom for a low price, and the breakfast is very good for being included in the price of the room. there's a bakery across the street, and a cafe right on the corner when you're hungry and too lazy to go far.

warm welcome from helpful staff. large room with comfy bed. 10 mins walk from backpackers area, 20 mins walk from tourist attractions. plenty of cafes and eateries around hotel. breakfast was one of the best we,ve had in vietnam. would stay again.

Great location but small room but worth the money”

we tried spending our new year in another country where we do not know what to do and where to go. it's hard to converse in english to the staff of the hotel but luckily, one of the front desk officers assisted us and able to speak in english. i'm not sure if he's the son of the owner or whatnot. anyway, the place is centrally located and it's easy to find your way back to the hotel. though the room is small, it's clean and the bed is comfortable. overall, i can recommend this hotel to anyone.

Amazing service, good rooms, close to market.”

From the moment I arrived (and greeted with an ice cold complimentary bottle of water), until the moment I left, the service was welcoming, friendly and helpful. They gave advice on where to eat, directions for taxis and the breakfast was a pretty good spread for the price.

Good place”

Had a really pleasant stay here. A little on the expensive side but booked through Agoda and got a deal so it was quite reasonable in the end. Not too close to the backpacker ghetto to be annoying, and close enough to the center to be within walking distance of all the things you might want to see and do.
