I have stayed here many times due to price and location. I stayed in room 603. The room had a window, The bed was not so comfy and the bathroom was very small. The cable tv channels has improved a lot since my last visit. And they have free wifi in room and reception area.

Location is good. It's right next to Pham Ngu Lao street. Many amenities around it. Everything in the room is quite old and needed a refresh.

The A25 was the first place I stayed in HCMC, back in 2012, when it was the Orient Hotel. They've since renovated, and those renovations have turned it from a very good place to an excellent place. For starters, you can't beat the location, unless you want a quiet place where nothing's happening. The A25 is in one of the busiest places, for tourists, in HCMC, the intersection of De Tham and Pham Ngu Lau. It's lively at all hours, and all the services are very close. Many terrific restaurants in the area. There HAVE to have been many women involved in the design of the renovations, women with power. The toilets (washrooms, bathrooms, WCs, etc.) are like nothing I've ever seen in Asia. There are shelves and hooks to place things. The water pressure is astonishing. THe shower stalls are well-designed, installed properly, and work well. The complementary shampoos, soaps, and other goos aren't in little packets, they're in large containers. Each toilet has one of those little mirrors that telescopes out. The shower even has a little brush so you can really get the flip-flop dirt off your disgusting feet. Amazing! Each room is equipped with an iron and board; a little pair of utility scissors; more glasses, cups and mini-bar nonsense that you can shake a stick at; and a desktop PC. Wow! (Don't forget to take the videocam off and put it face down--you never know.) My only cavils are that the rooms at the back of the hotel (away from De Tham) don't have as hot water, and the wifi isn't as good (though usually still acceptable).

Staying at any A25 hotel is value for money. We chose this one because is walking distance to local bars and variety of local food places. It is also 5-10mins walk to Ben Thanh market. Close by there are many bus services/travel agents that provide cheap transport to other parts of vietnam. Room: We had a room with a window at the front of the hotel. It was great during the day, but at night you can hear loud music from A25 pub downstairs until 3am. If you like your sleep, ask for a room at the rear of the hotel. The room was spacious with TV (limited foreign channels), good size bathroom, aircon and in-room safe. Bed was very comfy. Very good value for money. Our booking incl. breakfast but we opted to eat outside for breakfast. Location: Walking distance to bars and food places. Next door is 'Highlands Coffee' or across the street approx 30m is a Starbucks, local K-Mart if you like your western cravings.
