Lovely hotel and service with smile”

96 Bui Vien Guesthouse is in the center of district 1. It's help us to go to the tourism object easily. What we need are just our foot, cause most of the tourism object are in District 1. The service of the hotel is very nice, they are so helpful by give info for the tourist.

Lively City Hotel in Great Location”

The guesthouse is smack in the middle of the backpacker strip, meaning that bars, Vietnamese and international restaurants, and all kinds of amenities are in easy reach; however, you can reach more local restaurants and shops and escape the crowds of tourists by walking just a few blocks, so the location is the best of both worlds. Attractions like the central market and art museum are also in easy walking distance. The guesthouse itself has comfortable, if somewhat cramped, rooms; good cable and wifi; and friendly staff who can help with everything from changing money to booking trips. There's also a well-equipped shop and a small sidewalk bar/restaurant area out front, with shots of local liquors from only 50 cents US. It's a great place to meet fellow travelers, but that also means the noise level can be high at night (though the street quiets down after midnight). Plenty of good street food options in this area, too.

Nice guesthouse and very convenient place”

bui vien street is at the other side, parallel to pham ngu lao. once you found the street, you will easily find the guesthouse. the room is clean, aircon is cool and wifi is fast. han, the owner of the place, is very nice and she speak english well. there is a convenient store at her ground floor. you can buy water, drink, yougart, food, pen, paper, etc. she is very accommodating. we asked her direction and she searched in the internet on what bus and how to get to the place. i will recommend this place, its cheap and worth to stay.

Bui Vien is not hard to find. Han,the owner is good in English and very accommodating. There are lot of food stalls outside the area. There are also some shops around and this is a very busy place. We love this place and would like to come back.

Well located and not too noisy”

located somewhat in the heart of district 1, it was accessible to many attractions even by foot. the owner was pleasant despite the limited english she could speak. i opted for a high floor room which is quiet in the evening. being a guesthouse, room is not too big but it is great enough for solo travellers.

Centrally located and close to shopping area”

I enjoyed my 2 days stay here, had fun experiencing the nightlife in District 1. Will surely choose the same hotel when I get back to Ho Chi Minh City

budget hotel in a great location”

the room was small, no window. anyway it was pretty clean and there was tv, frigo, fan and air conditioning (old and very noisy). staff is very kind and helpful. the location is indeed great: in bui vien street in the center of backpackers area of saigon (district one). in this street you can find many bars and resturant where eat and enjoy a cheap beer.

Great Hotel”

this hotel is great, the rooms are small, but they are cean and have everything you need. there is a shop that sells everything downstairs and at very good prices. the staff are very friendly and accommodating. only draw-back, its a bit noisy as it's on the main street with lots of bars etc.

basic but convenient and well priced”

I enjoyed my stay, but i am writing this honestly for you. while this room was tiny and not the cleanest place, nothing fancy about it, but it is very cheap, and perfect for a solo traveller just needing a good bed in between seeing saigon and enjoying the nightlife. bonus is that this hotel also makes the strongest and cheapest drinks at night. amazingly i heard nothing of the nightlife despite being literally in the center of it all. for about $13 its a pretty cool choice. if you want better, spend ten more dollars somewhere, but dont go to madam cuc 64 that place is disgusting. this place is what it is and i liked it

nice guesthouse”

I like this guesthouse coz the owner is very accommodating. She helps us on out itinerary and even look for the direction to the place where we are going. There is a convenient store on the ground floor so no need to worry about the food.

good location”

the hotel's location is quite ok. close to restaurants and tour agencies. lots of motorcycle rentals nearby if you want one. the room is small but clean. you can buy your personal necessities downstairs. a little bit noisy in the late afternoon but if you stay on the upper floors, the noise can be tolerated. the hotel has no elevator though, and the stairs are quite steep and narrow. its a little bit hard if you are on the 3rd floor and up. the proprietor can understand english well but is not very friendly. overall, it is worth the money you pay

Great room with an excellent location”

The room included all the required amenities, such as air conditioner, hot water, Wi-Fi in the room, television, refrigerator, etc... The beds are also very large and comfortable. It is located in an area with many tourists, restaurants, and bars. The room was also spacious, and had a window overlooking the main street. I would stay here again for sure!

this guesthouse has good location. Very condition coz there is alot of restaurant along the way. You can also grab food in 7 eleven if your are in hurry. the owner, Han, is very accomodating.

Nice hotel with friendly staff ”

This hotel is located only 15 min's from Ben Than Market and other shopping places. Very friendly staff that help you book tours. Fast and free wireless internet. Very clean and tidy rooms with a brand new airconditioner which makes it easier to sleep in the heat!

great people and great surrounding area”

nice surrounding area with cheap food places around, nice cool pubs for people who look for chill out places. staff are all friendly and full of knowledge about where to go around the city. cheap and clean room with individual bathroom/toilet.

Satisfactory Under the Circumstances Except the Noise”

Staff service is very good. Room is neat and clean, and needed simple amenities, such as towels, slippers, electrical outlets, hangers, toilet paper, etc. are provided, however I did not see soap, shampoo and toothpaste. Air-conditioning cools well and water supply is strong. On the negative side, the noise from the drinking crowd at the ground floor of the hotel is terrible. The noise starts from around 8:00 in the evening and will not stop until 2:00 in the morning. At the time I was there a power failure happened and my room without windows became claustrophobic and hot as oven. The hotel management gave me a portable lamp but the heat forced me to leave the room and take refuge in nearby cafe that was not affected by the electrical brownout for at least two hours.

I stayed here only for the day to pass time. Staff were nice, rooms were clean and food was pretty good. Hotel is in a good location also

cheap rates for good rooms, spacious and clean”

i got upgraded to a twin bed. kudos to the staff. nightlife abuzz just at the door of the hotel. not for fuzzy travellers. will definitely go back

Value for money”

Stayed for one night, staff had no issue changing the booking to add an extra bed and did not charge for the additional guest. Rooms are great and clean and excellent value for money.
