Absolutely loved it here. Would stay again and again. It is just over the river from all the noise of district 1. Easy to walk around, plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and markets in easy walking distance. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

Good budget option in D4”
Pros: Unit is perfect for 2-3 people. Everything we needed was available in the apartment. The owner (or helper?) was flexible with check-in/check-out time. He was extremely responsive through text. Cons: Bridge to D1 is not easy to use (no pedestrian lights, bridge is poorly maintained). Many Grab drivers are not familiar with this area so they struggle finding the building. Didn't feel too close to restaurants (there are street vendors outside the building)

This was the biggest shock of my life, traveling in over 20 countries. When I checked in and turned on the air cond unit, it had a terrible smell. I opened the lid and it was so dirty it was literally dark gray. The owner said he would clean it the next day, but I checked out the next day and smelling that filth all night is very unhealthy. We had a conversation on whatsapp and he then told me I could leave and he would send staff to refund my money, not great since it was already Friday evening and I had just arrived from the airport. Then he said, "my staff is coming right now to give you your money back... two men came but I sent them away - Later that evening another agoda host I rented from here in HCMC told me that this guy actually posted my name and photo on an airbnb/agoda forum on Facebook! I complained to agoda and got a miserable reply. Do not rent from this owner, he is unprofessional, doesn't know how to handle expats and will trash your name openly in public....
