Room is good with all the basic amenities. No soap provided though. Have to bring your own. Place is near Jussieu metro which let u connect to all attractions around paris. Some attractions are also nearby. There are many eateries & carrefour express around the neighbourhood. Pretty safe at night. One very important thing is that this apartment is owned by a company who owns several properties around paris & the person in charge is not always around to assist you. You must communicate with the person when u arrived at the aprtment just in case he is not around. He will give you instructions on what to do.

I wasn't very sure about this hotel at first. But I was glad I booked it! It was perfectly located on the 5th Arrondisement (Latin Quarter) of Paris--within the same block as the Saint Michel Metro Station and 2 blocks away from an RER train station. It was also within walking distance to the Notre Dame Cathedral. There are so many places to eat around the hotel which are very reasonably priced, and lots of cafes nearby as well. The 3-5-minute walk to River Gauche is very lovely and scenic. There's also a post office nearby. The hotel has a pocket wifi rent (at €5 per day) and the hotel has wifi as well. The staff were very polite and friendly (I believe it was Emma who welcomed me at check-in; and she was very nice!). The room was a bit small (as was expected for the room that I booked), but it was fine with me; and it had a lovely terrace that overlooked the street (facing the cafes downstairs)--and it was not noisy at all (slept pretty well). The bathroom was modern and very clean. I had a lovely time at this hotel and would recommend it!

I stayed at the hotel for 12 nights with a friend and her two adult daughters. The rooms were lovely with a great bathrooms, albeit a little small but excellent value and standard for Paris--have stayed in some nightmares in the past. THe free Wifi always worked, the lift for me was too small and I preferred to use the stairs even though the room was on the 5th floor. Location wise close to transport, restaurants and a fabulous walk along the Seine to Notre Dame. The hotel is next to the hospital and the station but the double glazing certainly works very effectively to block noise. The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. we didn't eat in the hotel as there are a variety of restaurants and cafes walking distance. All in all would stay here again, it is on the edge of the 5th and has more a suburbian feel--however, if a more central location with more active nightlife it may not appeal but it is only a very short taxi ride to anywhere.

it's a great little hotel for a quick stop over. for the rate i got which was gbp it was a great deal for paris. it's not so convenient to st germain or notre dame - it's about a 20 - 30 min walk that is not very interesting unless you walk along the seine. room was clean, bed linen was okay, bed was comfortable, bathroom was compact and clean. windows opened and they had some lovely flower boxes which is nice. ac had heat and cold and was working. no amenities in the room except for kettle and tea/ coffee. so bring your own toiletries. if you get a street side room - tends to be a but noisy from the traffic in the morning and a few people loitering down below in the evening besides the cafes and shops. free wifi is a bonus. staff are super nice. a little too easy at night maybe. very friendly in the morning. offered to get me a taxi if i needed. i would probably choose to stay here again if i was in and out of paris for a day and needed a good rate , decent sized room. location is okay as metro is close. but as a person traveling on their own - i found it was not feeling so safe at night when walking back on my own.

We wanted a decent hotel that fit a smaller budget but still put us within easy access to the main sites in Paris. I read through many reviews of this hotel and we were satisfied with our stay there. They upgraded us (for free) to a triple room so the room wasn't "small" - though everything in Paris is smaller than American hotel rooms so people just need to expect that. The men at the desk were nice and spoke enough English to help us. There were several cafes nearby and it's just around the corner from a metro stop. It's also within walking distance to Notre Dame. My only suggestion would be that if you like a dark room for sleeping don't get a room with a street view. The lights on the building were pretty bright.

You could not choose a better location on the Left Bank in Paris! It is an historical residence that dates back to 1640 and an amazing place to stay. The minute we stepped though the door , we were welcomed with such warmth and grace. Our room on the top floor was a little difficult to navigate because of my husbands knee problems , and Francisco very kindly offered to move us to the first floor ...still with a wonderful view from our window of Notre Dame Cathedral , just across the street ! The hotel is in a perfect location for sightseeing ...Notre Dame, The Ille de la Cite and Ille St. Louis , the Latin Quarter area with its great restaurants and charming shops within steps of the hotel . A little park across the way filled with beautiful flowers! The Esmeralda is a peaceful little haven ... A place we now consider our new home in the heart of Paris ! Thank you to Francisco and all of his staff for making our stay in their beautiful city so memorable !!

We stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights for our wedding anniversary, the hotel is in a great location and the staff are fantastic. They couldn't do enough for us during our stay, including arranging champagne for the evening of our anniversary, restaurant reservations and breakfast on the balcony. The staff even left us a rose and a hand written card which was very nice of them. The room was clean throughout and the balcony was absolutely worth paying that bit extra for, the views are great and its a superb way to relax after a day exploring Paris which a glass of bubbly. There are plenty of transport options which are very close to the hotel and you can walk to the river and Notre-Dame which only take 10 minutes. The breakfast in the hotel was great, exactly what you would expect in Paris, very fresh and excellent quality. Would recommend to anyone thinking about going to Paris.

Arrived late at night, but check-in was fairly easy. The staff were great throughout the stay - friendly, helpful and fluent English speakers would be understatements. The room is small (must be honest), but very creatively designed. There are flower petals on the bed each day after house-keeping. Only issues I would have to say is that the walls/doors are thin, and so if you're a late sleeper, you'd be woken up by the noise in the hall or room neighbors. House-keeping does not always replace your soap and shampoo, so make sure you bring your own. The subway is a short 10 minutes walk, and there are plentiful restaurants close-by. The opposite direction from the subway would get you to the rail-way, which has direct connections to Orly and Charles du Gaulle. airports. Lastly it's walking distance from Notre Dame and Saint Germain. It's a good 20-30 minutes walk, but beautiful for an evening stroll.

You know those French films and cartoons with delightfully cartoonish room feels (crazy ceiling angles in the rooms, weird proportions and layouts that work but are also silly and incorrigibly French in their own way)? – Well Hotel de Suez lives up to that! French charm through and through. Convenient for Latin Quarter and Notre Dame. Easy to get to Eiffel Tower on public transit, but admittedly a 20 minute journey. Clean overall, and fine.

Very close to subway station and walking distance to Notre Dame. The location of the hotel is rather good as it is also close to several local eateries that serve rather good food. However, the hotel room is rather small (there is not enough space for luggage ). The TV programs available on the cable (if that is cable TV) are very limited and mostly in French. The wardrobe is small, and is unlikely able to hold clothes for 2 adults if the stay is over 5 days.

room is a bit small but clean and bed is comfortable. we had twin sharing, the size is still OK for 2 ladies. can imagine it would be a bit tough for 2 men. bathroom is very very small. a tiny little balcony for a glass of wine in the evening which was great. location is excellent - very near to Place Monge Metro and walking distance to Notre Dame. It was easy for us to get to Orly Airport as well. Just take the number 7 to the end of the line Villejuif Louis Aragon then there is a tram number 2 that takes you straight to Orly. Receptionist was very nice and helpful but she did not know that there are public transport available for us to get to Orly Airport. She actually told us to get a cab which would have cost us Euro40-60. Wifi is available in the room so that was great! overall, we enjoyed the hotel.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. Staff was courteous and helpful. They speak a number of languages. The only issue that the facility would be very challenging for anyone with mobility impairment. The lift is barely big enough for 2 people. Hallways are narrow, about 32" wide. Stairs are winding, uneven, and not level. The handrail does not start until 8 steps up. This hotel would not meet U.S. standards for emergency egress. Bathtub surface is slippery and there are no grab bars or other support if you slip. It's great if those things are not a concern for you.

The location of the hotel is perfect, it is only 15 minutes walk to the Notre Dame and Pantheon. There were two Metro station close by and the Rue Mouffetard is two block away so its easy to get something eat and drink at night. However, similar to most Paris hotel, it is small but well... for the price, you got what you . We felt comfortable in the area and the staff were polite.

lovely hotel situated 5 mins walk from the rue mouffetard famous for its restaurants and bars. only 2 mins walk from the metro station that will take you anywhere in paris in minutes. the hotel staff were absolutely brilliant and answered any special requests we had in a great and professional attitude which is a big plus in paris.i would recommend this hotel to anyone and already looking forward to staying there on my next trip to paris.

We LOVED our stay at the Minerve with its tiny little room and its tiny little lift and its tiny little courtyard in the Latin Quarter of Paris. Walkers can easily navigate all the main attractions from the Minerve e.g Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens, Champs Elysees, The Louvre, The Seine River. The Cardinal Lemoine station is approximately a 5minute walk to catch the RER to Musee d' Orsay and even Charles De Gaulle airport, although the stairs are difficult to navigate if you have heavy luggage.

price was ok for last minute arrangements, room small. website pictures make the facilities look bigger, creative photography. definitely a 2 star, nothing more. english speaking desk help limited. they do offer airport transfers when you leave, but not on arrival, a bit misleading. it is about the same cost as a cab for 2 people. the transfer makes multiple stops on the way to airport, give yourself plenty of time, 1 hour at least, 45 minutes by cab with traffic room small, beds tolerable, mostly clean. close to metro stop, multiple dining option nearby. walk to notre dame and river. good if you don't plan to spend much time in your room.

I had a great four night stay at the Hotel Observatoire Luxembourg. The hotel is undergoing renovations, but this did not effect our stay. The room was stylish, quiet, comfortable,the a/c worked beautifully. Besides all of this the frount desk serves were very helpful.The bedroom was small, but that's the standard in Paris.RER metro station right outside the door and easy stroll to Seine and Notre Dame and Louvre. Would definitely recommend.

Pros- apartment was great with separate living and sleeping areas, and a decent kitchen too. Balcony would be lovely in warmer weather. Street was very quiet with no noise overnight. Walking distance to Notre Dame, close to Rue Mouffetard. Cons- a bit far from a metro, kitchen untensils inadequate for 4 people eg only 2 forks, curtains need replacing in bedroom, bathroom needs work

A fantastic home-away-from-home serviced apartment in the centre of action. The Notre Dame is a 10 minute walk, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Orsay (museums) are 10 minutes by bus or tram. Montemartre, where Sacre Couer and exciting views of the city, cafes, street-side shopping, etc are available, is 15 minutes by tram or bus. If one chooses to go by taxi, it costs about 30.00 Euros. The bus and tram stops are just 25 metres out of the apsrtment and the metro and underground ar 100 metres awy at Austerlitz Station (Gare D`Austerlitz). On exitting the apartment, you find restaurants with every possible cuisine - French, Turkish, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Thai, Korean and breakfast restaurants and fast food joints. The staff of the apartments do not come in at all except to check you in on request (otherwise, you go to their office to collect the keys to the apartment), but are bursting with vitality, friendliness and information. Whenever I go to Paris, I shall definitely stay with Short Stay Group Apertments at 5, rue d Buffon. I most definitely recommend the apartments of the ENTIRE SHORT STAY GROUP where ever they may be.

We were issued rooms on the 6th floor which I was not 100% happy with as I had emailed the hotel and explained I was on crutches due to a broken foot. Upon arrival (after having no reply to my email) I was told that the only other room available was an extra 100€ a night. The receptionist was surly and very unhelpful. However, it turned out to be only 10 steps and I only needed to do them twice a day. So I managed. Thankfully we did not see that receptionist again and everyone else was lovely and very helpful. The rooms are small and there is no tea/coffee in the rooms but the hotel say it is to maintain the standards. When you see the beautiful rooms you do understand. Our room had a small balcony which offered views of the street below and Notre Dame in the distance. The hotel lobby is tiny and our party of 4 toom up all the seats. Again, the hotel staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We did not eat there so no idea of the standard of food. All in a good hotel with some draw backs, i.e as mentionef and the street is loud and busy (but obviously not the hotels fault!). The location however makes up for these as the hotel is 3mins from the Pantheon and 5mins from Notre Dame. Great for couples. Reasonably priced. Good location and bus/train services running close by.

Highly recommended 2-star Paris hotel. Rooms are small but tidy, and it's not luxury accommodation. It is air conditioned, and our room did not face Boulevard Saint Michel, so was reasonably quiet. Very short walk to Luxembourg RER station, and bus stops out the front with direct services to Notre Dame and Eiffel Tower areas. Luxembourg gardens is a Paris oasis, and there's some great restaurants nearby. Very close to Sorbonne, so lots of students nearby, which keeps prices down. The hotel breakfast is very good value and the reception staff have excellent English language.
