Find hotels near 20th - Menilmontant in Paris, France

The hotel was easy to find. Basically 5 mins walk from the metro station. I would suggest getting off at Avron station, then cross the street and the hotel is located there. The hotel was nice and clean, but due to some renovation works, there were some material left around the property. For the first night, we stayed at the room near the garden and it was small with no privacy. We requested to change rooms and were given another room in the main building. Nice and clean and there was free Wifi too. For breakfast, there were plenty of choices with several bakery located around the hotel. Overall a pleasant experience with the stay and also with all the staff of Timhotel. They were so friendly and gave detailed directions to move around the city. Great job!

We only stayed here for one evening in Paris but would definitely book again. The staff were what made this hotel great. Don't get me wrong, the room was spotless, the express breakfast was a great value, the metro was conveniently located, and the esthetics of the hotel were very funky. But the warm smile and hello from the staff everytime we came in. The fact that they we gracious enough to check if we could get into our room early and the wait staff in the morning who helped us with our 10 month old. They were all wonderful. Thanks again.

So, separate bathrooms per dorm, which is great, but their shower faucets are this weird automatic shutoff type. Think the type you find on a sink in a public bathroom. Also they're toilet paper comes in sheets instead of rolls. Willing to overlook all of that though because of the AC and bathrooms in every dorm. But their Wi-Fi *sucks*, it will work for like 10 seconds at a time, then switch off for 30. I suspect it's too many people for the connection they have.

First visit to Paris by road with wife, one teenage and one toddler boy. Worried about the accommodation because the price I paid, previous reviews, plus my French/English colleagues told me Paris is not that cheap! But I found the hotel room is good. Actually, there were 2 rooms (one smaller through the other the room I entered first)! I paid for one room with 3 single bed! Bigger room had 2 single bed and smaller one have one single bed. Bed linen, towels supplied were fresh and renewed everyday. When we arrived Paris weather was humid and at 31 degC. But both rooms have big windows with plenty of air flow. I did not had plan to eat in the hotel, so, rating I put is not reflective. Hotel cleanliness is good but the rooms did not shine because it is a old hotel. I would suggest simple touch of paints on doors and walls to make it look and feel better.

I have stayed in the hotel 3 times so far. Love the location. The hotel is in a beautiful building and the rooms are small, but very stylish. Staff has always been helpful and friendly. The second time, our room had a smell of damp, not constant, but quite strong at times. The other two times, there were no problems whatsoever. Would definitely recommend the hotel, especially for couples, that want to stay in comfort and style.

DOUBLE ROOM HOTEL WAS TOO SMALL FOR A COUPLE COMING ALL THE WAY FROM ASIA WITH LUGGAGES. THE ROOM IS DARK PLUS THE INTERIOR COLOUR OF THE ROOM IS ALREADY DARK. THE BATHROOM WASH BASIN HAS SHARP EDGE WHICH IS DANGEROUS FOR PEOPLE COMING OUT OF THE BATH TUB. NOT ENOUGH SPACE TO PUT GUEST PERSONAL TOILETRIES IN THE BATHROOM. THE AREA IS DANGEROUS AND DIRTY. IT'S NOT A HOTEL FOR THOSE WHO COME TO PARIS FOR SHOPPING AND DO SIGHTSEEING. THIS HOTEL IS DESIGNED FOR BUSINESS MAN OR SINGLE PERSON. EXPENSIVE FOR A 3 STARS HOTEL. I GUESS BECAUSE IT'S PARIS.

I was surprised at the price for Paris - I can't really complain about the place based on that. It was close to a metro with some cafés around, there were no problems that made the stay uncomfortable etc. Just that for that price you will have a few minor annoyances (e.g. only one shower for the whole hotel, on the ground floor, Internet was really slow etc.) but the staff were very very helpful and friendly. I was there for 3 days; if you are only sleeping in the hotel and spending the day outside I'd recommend it.

This hotel is clean and comfortable and the reception staff are professional and speak very good English and the cleaning lady that we saw was very friendly and cheery. Unfortunately, this did not extend to the restaurant staff for whom it seemed that a smile and a "bonjour" was too much of an effort. We booked originally on a room only basis but added breakfast on arrival. Breakfast was a basic affair with boiled eggs, bread, ham, cheese, croissants and cereal the only offerings. At 15 Euros (£12) this did seem a little pricey. Neither lunch nor dinner was available. The hotel is close to a Metro station giving access to the heart of Paris within 30 minutes. Overall, if you are looking for a reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, no frills hotel this is ideal.

The hotel is really clean, although the room is 2* which is fair for the price, the facility provided in the room is equal to 4* hotel : towel, tv, toiletries, hair dryer. Next to Metro entrance. The only minus point is one of the receptionist (white, younger guy) ignored me upon check in. He kept talk on his mobile phone for another 5 minutes and when his friend came he talked with him although I have been standing in front of him.

We were in a pinch and needed a last minute hotel in Paris for 1 night before catching an early morning flight at CDG; however, had I taken the time to book a hotel prior to the night before we needed it, I'm certain I could have found a more pleasant place to stay for the money... it was not cheap, and certainly much more money for what you get. It's extremely small and I mean extremely small, the kind of small that you cannot have your suitcase, bed and a person in the same room small.... that was really unacceptable. The hotel seemed very old and perhaps not on the nicest street in the best area of Paris. Fortunately, we had stayed in Paris 2 weeks prior to this stay and had a marvelous experience at a lovely hotel for much less money per night. My advice to any traveler is to book ahead of your stay (like I usually do), and don't wait until the last minute or else you're pretty much stuck w/what you get.

I booked this hotel, as Paris was already quite booked and the Nadaud had one room left and was rated quite good. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful when we arrived. Our room was extremely clean and for Parisians quite big and equipped with everything you need. Also when we checked out we had a problem to check out on time which was no problem. Overall, the best hotel I have ever been and also the district is extremely nice, with lots of good restaurants and bars, just a bit far from the centre, but completly worth the money!

We really just needed a place to sleep while spending a week in Paris, and Ermitage did the job. While not centrally located, nowehere in Paris is really more than a couple of Metro stops away. At first we were put in a very small room, but the next day we were moved to a larger version (apparently some confusion on our late check in). It's nothing flash, but the large bed was comfy, and there was a table and chair, wardrobe, etc. The hotel is 6 floors with about 4 rooms on each floor, grouped into pairs. There's no lift, so pack light! The bathroom was on e of those Japanese "all-in-one" fibreglass cast units, so was very small, but we are used to that from Japan, and I suppose it saves space. The only strange thing was the huge bathroom door that would swing out halfway into the room - maybe intended for wheelchair access? The only thing the room really lacked was a mini fridge, as some mornings we wanted to get up early to see the sights, and having a quick breakfast and milk on hand would have been useful, as many shops or bakeries don't open until about 10am. There is a coffee machine in Ermitage reception, but that doesn't open until later either. The one thing that did surprise me was the cleanliness. Maids would come in every day to clean and make the bed, etc - more often than I would have expected for a low budget level hotel. Overall, Ermitage did what we wanted - somewhere cheap and acceptable to sleep in an otherwise super-expensive city.

Hotel was a little farm to find, is in a 1 way street and taxi driver had trouble getting there. We also had a bit of trouble navigating back to it. It is a whole unit which we found nice. Great bathroom and kitchen. A French continental breakfast was supplied which thebooking documentation said was at 8 am but was actually 8.30 am which is far too late for travellers. 7 am would have been a better time. We were given a map with local points of interest which was great. It was only on our last day as we were leaving that we spotted a Paris and Metro map which would have been more useful. Good restaurants and supermarkets close by. Menial octant metro quite easy to get to. Overall we recommend.

The check out time is flexible. We spent about 20 minutes by taking taxi from ORY airport to this hotel. The staff waited for us to do the late check in in midnight and told us where can we have food. The room is small but enough for us to unpack our luggage. The only bad thing is that there is no lift inside the hotel, you need to carry the luggage to go up for several floor with a narrow stair.
